Q: I completed a new addition using ceramic Tile It was a rust reddish color and I grouted it with Black Grout. I then sealed the grout. Use muriatic acid to clean it and remove all the residue--and the paste wax!! That was not a good idea--paste wax should not be used on tile or grout because you will just end up with a coating of wax that will attract mold and turn white or gray. there are commercial tile grout sealers that will preserve the color and the integrity of the grout. You can't paint it or apply a waxy product to it. You need to clean it with the muriatic acid, then seal the grout with the sealer--then NEVER wax it again.
