- Q: 3dmax gypsum board suture how to do
- Converted into editable polygons, and then wired out
- Q: Im thinking of mounting by living room t.v to the wall, but the only problem is the wall is plasterboard and it's pretty weak.Any solutions to this problem? Thanks
- Easist is to remove the plasterboard where going to mount the TV, and replace it with 1/2 plywood screwed to the studs behind. Then buy some joint compound and cover the plywood and paint it after dried. Now you have a secure mounting platform for the TV.

- Q: We have recently had a fairly big extension and now a considerable amount of our walls are plasterboard. I had painted one room a couple of months ago and now some of the screws have popped through from the plasterboard. I am now at the point where I need to paint my hall but I am reluctant to do this if some of the plasterboard screws are going to show through again. Should I get the walls skim coated or if any of the screws were going to pop would they have done so by now. Also is it expensive to skim coat?P.S I did paint the bathroom ceiling and first coat the surface was fine, went to give it a second coat and one of the screws had 'popped' Am I doing something wrong with the paint?
- sounds like the screws were not properly set or sealed to begin with- probley just poor workmanship. Just so ya know after the screws are put in they need to be sunk in a bit with some pressure - then sealed with mud or patch. I would guess your contractor did that already. ? and are you sure they used screws? i only ask cause sometimes nails are used and they pop causing the problems you mentioned- but the right screw is used it is uncommon that would happen. If you live in a moist area where there is high humidity - it is possible that the plasterboard has expanded a bit pushing the screws out- you can have the humidty levels checked - or you can probley feel if there is excess moisture in the room and maybe that can be cleared up with good ventilation. It is also possible they did not use a long enough screw, or the beam was not hit when it was screwed in- if thats the case then there probley is no remedy except basicly removing all the screws and repositioning them.
- Q: Under what circumstances to use double gypsum board ceiling
- In general, only high-star hotel and high-end hardcover residential will use double ceiling (keel need to use at least the national standard light steel keel), the advantage is high flatness, easy to crack.

- Q: Spackle is not doing the job.
- DIY Docs suggestions work well .. expecially for larger holes but this way works great for small holes and it is cheap-- all it takes is some simple supplies (a drywall knife, drywall mud (spackle will do), a piece of drywall, etc. The hard part is getting it smooth and then matching the existing paint.. First, you need a peice of drywall that is 3 to 4 inches larger on each side than the hole ... square or rectangular NOTE After you cut the flaps away below you want the patch without the flaps to be larger than the hole and and all cracks in the wall.. Second, on the back side of the patch.. Cut away approximately an inch of the plaster on the outside of the patch all around -- DO NOT CUT all the way through the patch.. Keep the paper on the front intact! Clean off all of the plaster middle from the paper flaps. Place the patch against the wall over the hole.. mark the patch on the wall (mark the area of full thickness only.. neglect the paper flaps on the patch) Cut the hole in the wall larger so the patch will fit snugly.. and squarely.. To make a perfectly smooth wall you should trim away just an inch or so of the top paper on the wall around the patch area..so the paper flaps on the patch can be recessed into the wall. Paint an even layer of drywall mud on the backside of the paper flaps and fit the patch.. using the mud to secure the patch to the wall. Once that drys it will probably take another coat (or 2) of drywall mud to make it smooth.. Note: Drywall mud is made to shrink slightly as it drys.. regardless do not put too much on. It is better to smooth it while it is wet.. or use a damp spongy when it is dry to smooth it. Before painting.. use a bit of drywall primer.. to seal it.. There are commerically available patch kits that use metal plates that you drywall screw into place..both on the wall and on the drywall patch.. They actually work well I have used them in places where the above (paper flaps) is not practical (e.g., for larger holes).
- Q: Which brand is good for gypsum board?
- In general, the dragon card, can be resistant, Lafarge, bunny, Taishan and other brands of gypsum board are good. Pay attention to distinguish between the use of parts, the general wall with the thickness of the gypsum board should adopt 1.2 cm, while the ceiling and other parts are suitable for 0.95 cm gypsum board. These parts of the use of ordinary gypsum board, and the bathroom and other places should be more humid moisture gypsum board.
