Q: If I leave some AA batteries in a charger for weeks, will the charger charge the batteries again when they get a little low? Or do most chargers only give that initial charge when the batteries are placed in the charger? THANKIES ALL!
The charger may have a 'kick off mode when the batteries are fully charged and thus stop supplying power. And then charge as needed. Devices like cordless telephones, cordless electric toothbrushes, etc., operate the charging process that way but they have and internal 'kick off' mode designed for the device to stay in an active charger. But the batteries you have left in the charger may get too hot and over time could damage the batteries. I would use them now and see how they function and then only charge as needed.
Q: Does the Motokrzr already come with a charger that u can plud into ur pc? If so, what does it look like?
mine didnt
Q: I recently got a new charger for my Toshiba laptop. For some reason it wont charge my laptop in any outlet I try. I jammed a charger in the laptop somehow but finally got it out. I'm wondering if its the computer that wont work or the new charger, and also if a charger will heat up even if it's not charging anything but plugged in. Thank you for you help! :)
I jammed a charger in the laptop somehow but finally got it out. -------------------------------------- Not sure exactly what that means, but it doesn't sound too good. The problem sounds like the charging port on the laptop. Will the laptop run with the battery taken out, but with the new charger plugged in? How old is your battery? I have been told that it is possible for an old and shot battery to mess with charging/power circuitry. EDIT: Still sounds like a bad charging port on the laptop, or a motherboard issue.
Q: I have a Sony DSC-Hx9V camera with a charger whose output is 5v 0.5A; my Sony Xperia L has a charger with an output of 5v 850mA - which charger can I take which that would adequately charge both units? (Travelling and need to lower my baggage weight!)
Hi Nicci, and welcome to Yahoo!Answers: Since both your gadgets use USB connectors to charge the battery packs, you can just pick one to take with you. I'd opt for the Xperia L charger, since it has a larger charging current capacity (850 mA is larger than 0.5A, which is 500 mA). And if you decided to run your Xperia off the wall to save battery life, the Xperia charger could handle the full running load of either gadget (running from wall power takes more current than just trickle charging). Trying to run your Xperia using your camera's charger might overheat the smaller charger. Since both gadgets are designed to also be charged by a computer's USB port (typically 500mA), either charger will work, and neither would harm the other Sony model in re-charge mode. Happy travels! hope this helps, --Dennis C.
Q: Everyone is telling me to get a smart charger? What is it? and should i get one?
Hehe, me and Mike L have an analogous charger, have been given mine for my GR16. purely difficulty is that that charger does not in fantastic condition my mind nunchuck. couple of minutes in the save fastened that however. Works like a allure. in any case, what's incorrect with procuring on line? ASGI is probable your ultimate wager. counting on the place you reside try to be waiting to force to a great AS agencies save and purchase there. Like suggested in the previous however, AS batteries charge comparable as RC ones. in case you will come across an RC charger, then there ya pass.
Q: Can you replace a 19Volts, 1.58Amp charger with a 19Volts, 4Amp charger? or16 - 14Volts, 1.58Amp charger?should i stay with 19v and the Amp is unimportant(whether lower or higher) .should i stay with 1.58amps and the volts is unimportant(but definitely lower) z i cant find a charger with the same specs. 19v, 1.58a
look at your laptops model name and then you should be able to find a charger off the model name. make sure you get it from a good source not a bad one like OKorder or amazon. for a new charger, you can look online on generic sites but i would personally suggest topmic they are more reliable and have better reputation. you should be able to find them through google search. make sure the specifications is the same as your current charger (connector tip, voltage, amperage, etc). if you have any more questions feel free to send me an email and ill be happy to help (^_^)/!
Q: I own a Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC and my original charger stopped working a few weeks ago. I replaced it, and now whenever I use my new charger, it does not connect easily and I have to hold it in tightly for the charge to register. It only just started doing that last night. I normally leave my laptop on constantly and put it in sleep mode whenever it's not in use. I figured it was this that was messing up the charger, so I turned off my laptop overnight to give it a rest, and the charger only worked correctly for a few minutes this morning, then it started messing up again. I was wondering if the fact that my charger went bad in such a short time is an indicator that it's my laptop breaking the chargers, or that something is wrong with the inlet. Also, if you could tell me the name of the correct charger to buy for my laptop, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
It sounds like a problem with the jack that the charger plugs into. There may have been nothing wrong with your original charger.
Q: Does an ipod wall charger work on Zunes?
Well the truth is it has to be the same device to work on other thing well usually.
Q: Can i use a Nickel MH charger to charge Nickel Cadmium AAA Batteries?
I wouldn't. NiMH batteries have higher capacities and chargers made for them have higher charging currents as a result. Look closely at the label on your AAA NiCd batteries. It will probably say something like Charge at 25mA for 16 hours which is a typical number for that size and chemistry. Now look at the charger. If the charge rate (in mA) is significantly higher that the battery can handle, you'll have a problem. Don
Q: I was in class today and suddenly my Acer Aspire One A150 charger stopped working. I don't think I stepped on it or anything, but the charger just doesn't seem to work anymore. What should I do?
If your new battery is still under warranty from the manufacturer, have them replace it. If not, you'll have to pay for a new battery. Make sure that you only purchase warrantied, OEM Compliant replacements for your computer. PS: Remember to take the battery to a recycling center, throwing it in your garbage can is dangerous.
