- I was unable to open the links but I have seen this done on home decor shows before. If the bottom rug is much larger than the top one, it can look perfectly fine. People do this a lot to cover stains on wall to wall carpet when they can't afford to replace it. Buy the fur rug if you like it, if it doesn't work on the blue rug, put it elsewhere or return it. You have to follow your gut on this one.
- Q: Does anyone know where I can find a large area rug, mostly black with gold detail? I was looking at oriental rugs, but I'm not particularly fond of any of the ones I've found so far. - well i never heard that it will cool a horse so but give it a try!And also it is a travel rug i read it on line right now and that it will keep the horse cool on his foot/legs
- Q: I noticed that my carpet has holes in it. there are tiny areas where the carpet strands are gone/eaten/disappeared/burned/etc and i don't know what it is. Also, around the area it is black or has black stuff left on the carpet (light brown carpet color). Any ideas as to what it is? How to stop it? Fix it? [also the only pets i have are fish]
- there's a few things that live in carpets or breed there. but moths are the ones that are famous for holes. the larvae eat the rug then become moths. If you're lucky a little flea spray and the worms will come up so you can see them. start using boric acid or diatomaceous earth (buy the kind for this use not the pool filter material). sprinkle on carpet and brush deep with broom. Vacuum more regularly and put down more boric acid every few months at least.
- Q: Can anyone suggest the best carpet cleaner ( aside from a steam cleaner...) for a light-tan-old carpet? The stains are from the previous owners; but, also, are over active puppies bladder... Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated... Thanks...
- Blue Coral works well---I get it at Auto-Zone...If the staining is widespread---there is really no way around a professional steam-cleaning though.
