When shopping for carpet, you ll be buying or comparing that price to an s/f price. This is the way carpet must be sold. The builders price break down to 1.77$ a s/f. You ll be able to get a cheap bedroom carpet for that if you look hard but none with any quality will be found. Get a carpet with a stain protector, you don t necessarily need Staimaster, although a good stain blocker, your paying some for the name. Also shop for a carpet with anti matte, anti crush. This won t matte down and show walk patterns. This differs from an anti wear warranty. Edit to your add on questions..
