Q:A network cable must cross a power cable. What can be done to minimize the amount of EMI?
Metal shielding would be best. This could be as simple as wrapping each cable with aluminum foil near the cross-over point. Hope this helps.
Q:On my PSU I have two PCI-E 6 pin cables. I have looked at the motherboard and saw there is nowhere to plug it in and my motherboard manual says of no slots for it but I do have two PCI-Express slots. Do they plug into the cards themselves or something? How do I use the PCI-E power cables?
Leave the cables be. In the future if you buy some heavy weight graphis card then you can use these cable. Otherwise leave it be. Tie it up in the comp to let the air flow well.
Q:My power cord for my computer and all usb cables i have seen have these cylindrical things on them. What do they do?
Those devices are for supressing RF interference to external devices. The high data rates, tend to create signals just like transmitters, which can interfere, with you TV, cordless phone, stereo system, etc.
Q:A friend gave me this monitor, but didn't know where the power cord was. I made the mistake of thinking to myself quot;Oh well, it's just the standard plug, I'll just use one at home. But it is this weird 4-5 Pronged slot I haven't seen before. The manufacturer is HP, but I couldn't find any accessories on their site. Can anyone tell me what kind of plug would fit this, or where to get one? I have included a picture, sorry for the poor quality, but it is from my phone.

Q:I bought a Garmin GPS, but my cigarette lighter is near my gear shift. Does anyone know how to add a power cable so the cable is behind the gps on the window?. I can always take it somewhere for about $100.
As you say, take it so it is professionally done. Working on cars is very complex and requires an expert. Always best to seek a professional. Also always it is require to capitalize the acronyms of titles. Please capitalize GPS 100% of the time.
Q:Should I call 911 if a frayed power line fell in my driveway?
Do not call 911, call the power company. If your city has 311 service you could call that. If there are any bodies around the line just leave them be. Don't try and move them with a broom handle, that's an old wive's tale.
Q:I already have RCA cables. Just need to find a place that would sell the power cord.
you could either go to sony themselves or try a really good car audio shop and probably order you one and possibly try OKorder and see if they have one if you have halfords try them they are good for your different needs (if you have one ).
Q:Hello,We are having a problem with our power cable and that being that most time whenever we insert the power cable into the back of the laptop the orange light at the front of the laptop does not always light up. We think the problem lays with the power cable, because it has been tugged and dropped before on many occasion. So, is it possible to buy a power cable for our Toshiba laptop, and we have retained the sticker. We think that the Toshiba part no is PA3396E-1ACA and the model no is PA-1650-02.So is it possible to buy a new power cable?
It is possible that your cable may have some broken wires inside that are causing your problem, or it may be the board as mentioned above. The board that is being referenced is the power connector inside your laptop and it's connection to the system board. What can happen is the electrical connections (solder joints) from the connector to the board become broken/loose and you have an intermittent connection. I have re-soldered these for friends when theirs go bad, otherwise a replacement system board would be required. I have also seen where the small leaf spring contact inside the connector becomes flattened and has poor contact as well (if this is the type of connector you have). You could check this with a good light and look inside the hole, there should be a center pin contact and a leaf contact along one side that should come down about halfway into the hole to the pin. To test where the problem is, connect your cord to your laptop, now hold the connection very still at the connector and wiggle, twist, push, and bend the cable at various points to see if the light at the front of the computer goes on or off. Now also test the plug at the computer by carefully moving it up, down, around in various ways to see if the light goes on or off. Wherever you find your problem is where you'll need to fix. If it is the power cable, yes, you should be able to buy a replacement. Try Toshiba's website or google the numbers you have to see what turns up. Hope that helps explain things better. Best of luck.
Q:I came out The Netherlands but i moved to Barbados somewhere near South-America in the caribbean. so i just plugged my power cable in the socker and first my xbox didnt work so i conected it to a voltage adaptor so my xbox voltage would go down so when i turned it on i was happy because it finally was on but like after ten seconds the little light on my power cable turned red ! does anyone maybe know how to fix this cause i want to play my xbox realy bad lolThanks alot,Greetings Noah.
attempt taking all the cables out from the back of your xbox and tv and re-attaching them correct. If this would not artwork, evaluate going to the microsoft internet site under the help section, and notice in case you will detect the answer. If not, then ring them up for unfastened and that they permit you to appreciate.
