Q: I have a white berber carpet in my room, and it has these gross grayish areas that are probably from dirt and what not . Also, my nauseous doggy sleeps on my bed and I have his various, dried throw up stains in it too. I've tried orange Goo Gone on everything , and it didnt work . I would like something that's pretty cheap that I could buy at like a local Walmart/Target, deep cleaning , pet safe , works on berber carpet , and isent a ton of hastle. I mean I don't mind getting on my hands and knees working stuff in , but nothing too extreme. I just want my carpet clean!!I don't want to have to rent a carpet cleaner , so I'm curious . What store bought carpet cleaners have worked for you? And do you think those will work for my carpet ? Thank you so much! Q: I live in an apartment and recently decided to get rid of an decades-old carpet. But the floor is plain white tile. Q: My friend knocked over her beer on my rug and didn't tell me until the morning after... it smells pretty bad. Any suggestions how to get rid of it quickly and permanently? I don't have many tools to use but i can run to a drug store if i need to.: Try a little washing up liquid in warm water and give it some elbow greece with a hard/soft brush depending on the rug type. If you have fabreeze then give a wack with that also, if not rub some lemon over it and leave a window open for it to dry.

Q: From the earth quake a bottle of wine fell from a shelf breaking on my wool rug' Any ideas would help thank you: Mix warm watter with some oxy clean let set for 4 minutes, and soak up with towel. Repeat if stain seems to set. Also shout works great.

They were just at the Animal Coaltion in June...and were pronounced healthy....: Wash the throw rugs in a normal wash with a cup of white vinegar, followed by a regular washing. As for the carpet underneath, I have given a link that gives you several alternatives, all cheap and easy and fast. If the odors are not totally eliminated, they will return there over and over. In the event there is a litter box issue, I have provided a second link. I would also suggest you get them a fountain to encourage water drinking, even through that is not high right now on your agenda. And, just mentioning IAMS will draw out some strong haters of IAMS, but I don't see anything wrong with it, provided plentiful water is available.

Q: My sister has a 9x12 area rug that laid flat on hardwood floors and now that she wants to put it on carpet, it curls on the edges and bunches in the middle. Is there any way to keep it flat? It's a beautiful rug, but right now she has it rolled up against a wall.: Tell your sister to roll the carpet on the side that she wants it for a few days this will solve the problem or as Joe suggested lay the carpet upside down for a while.

Q: My puppy decided to chew the carpet going from my living room into my kitchen (which is laminate). Unfortunately, my attempts thus far have just made things worse. I was trying to put a transition piece in, but could not get it to stick since beneath the carpet is just concrete. My lease is up in 3 weeks and I'm getting a bit panicked. I read online that you can take a piece of carpet from a closet and use that piece to seam to ripped carpet, then grab some similar carpet from the store to replace the closet area. Any suggestions to make this process go easier? I think I just need a tack strip and some special tape that I get from lowes. Any other suggestions?: to repair your carpet, you will need a carpet knife,level or square to guide your cutting.,double sided carpet tape, tape measure, first measure out the area you need, make sure it is prepped by squaring the area off, in a corner in the closet remove a section needed for your repair job. sweep or vac the area, place your double tape down,place your carpet on top and if you have a rolling pin, roll over the carpet to make it lay down and seal to the tape. you can pick up same carpets and replace the one in the closet.
