Q: Is there any type throw rug that will not slide on a nylon rug?: Very few rugs are made with a non-skid backing. But a pad to put under the rug is very common, and should solve your problem. Any place you buy a new rug should also be able to sell you a pad to go under it. Just make sure it's a rubbery pad and not just the foam cushion that goes under wall-to-wall carpet.

Place either with the head about 1/2 away from the wall and either kick the carpet onto the tack strip or engage the handle of the power stretcher to pull it on to the T/S. Note: make sure the carpet is secure on the tack strip BEHIND you, so the stretch can happen. You may need to gently kick along one wall to move the carpet up onto the tack strip, and then put some muscle into the kicks along the opposite wall. It is also a good idea to kick the corners first -on a diagonal (the corner on the left in front of you, then the one on the right BEHIND you -then reverse it. If the room is mall enough, the kicker will do the job, but if it is big, you'll need BOTH kicker and power stretcher.

I had that happen at my last house and its because we had a lot of windows with a light floor. Take up the rug if its not that bad and let them darken to the rest of the floor. If the floors are real, not laminate, then you might need to reseal the floor with a polyurethane to keep from bleaching. Check with a flooring company and see if there is anything else you can do.
