- Well, you're going to have to do some digging. Obviously you can start at the meter and work your way toward where the pipe goes into the house, if you don't see and hear water running inside your place then the leak will be underground. When you find it, take pictures of what you've found, the utility where I live will give you a pass or at least a reduction on a big bill if you can show you had a leak.

- Q: I need to clear out a crawl space and cement the floor. I can dig it out but it's alot of dirt. If i rented a vacuum excavator could I get the dirt removed in one day?
- I'n not sure the dirt doesn't have to be there. They backfilled it to support the walls. I'n not sure the block wall can hold the dirt back without the fill in the middle. You need an engineer to tell you that removing that dirt won't make the house fall down. really. Block walls have almost no strength.

- doesn't seem overly stated. sand runs about 2500lb per yard,18 yards on a truck.it all depends on the slope you have and the rise you end up with.not sure the code where your at but you will need approximately the same amount of black dirt as you need in sand possibly 36 yards less.
