Q: I'm redoing my leopard gecko's (luetenant Dan) setup with more excavator. I already made in a cave (type thing) with a tunnel connected. I think he has outgrown it. How do I reuse excavator? Can I? And are there any techniques or tricks? I know that I can use a ballon (which I did)I have a 4 quart bag I got for $6. Luetanant Dan is in a 20 gallon tank.I would like to see your guys' set up using excavator :)
I personally don't use Excavator because of the fact that it clumps when it gets wet, but crumbles when it gets too dry, giving the chance of being ingested by a leopard gecko. Once it gets ingested, it gets wet again and can cause impaction.
Q: I have vague memories about two TV movies I watched in my childhood in the 70s. I think the movies were made in USA. I hope somebody can give me their titles.1. There was a construction site (or maybe a mine), and there is a kind of electrical storm. Suddenly, the work vehicles (excavators, bulldozers, etc) got alive and start killing humans.2. There is an abandoned house where there are some beings living inside the walls. This beings resemble furry goblins and speak with strange noises. Then a family moves to the house and the goblins attack the persons. I particular, I remember a scene when these goblins drag somebody to their hiding. That's the best I can remember ;-)
If the 70s, then it's Killdozer (as Maximum Overdrive is from the 80s) The People Beneath the Stairs?
Q: I have a big dirt pile just sitting behind my fence on my property. We plan on knocking the fence down and re-building it so the dirt pile needs to go as its in our way. The dirt pile came from a ditch that was built next to my house months ago and the workers just left the dirt that was dug up on my property. I have been calling and calling the company to come clean up their mess and they never return my phone calls so now I have to get rid of it myself but how? My husband tried shoveling it and spreading it out but that is way to much work as the pile is big and rock hard from sitting for so long. I have also called equipment rental places to rent a bulldozer or excavator and push it all out but they are way to expensive (we are on a budget). What's a cost friendly way to get rid of unwanted dirt piles?
Go to one of the big box hardware stores that usually has guys waiting around to do day work and hire several of them to shovel that pile out smooth. If you really want the dirt gone hire a small dumpster and have the guys shovel the dirt into that and have it picked up.
Q: Anyone know the costs/taxes/duties involved in importing a excavator into canada?
Contact CRA on this, it's not a simple process. It'll depend what, where it was built, all sorts of factors. You'll want to deal through a customs broker, they can also estimate the taxes and fees. You'd also be advised to check your local provincial licensing regulations, worker's compensation board etc, they may have specific rules on safety equipment etc.
Q: Every answer I have got from you has been very logical and correct. So here is one I have been wondering. How do you explain the evidence of primitive man? Scientists have found skeletons of of them. And there has been cave paintings that date back a long time. They have also found tools, and things of that nature that date back to the primitive mans existence. What is your belief on that? I have no need to bash on you in any way, or question you in a derogatory way. Thanks.

Q: How big of construction jobs can these do and can someone make a good living owning one where there is always construction going on? What kind of jobs and how big a job can these machines do?
Small track hoes are used in jobs large and small. In almost any construction job, there are tight places that you can't work around with a large hoe. If you are digging a trench for a single electrical duct, you may only need a 6 wide trench, 3' deep. It would be almost silly to use a big machine for this work. Doing utility work in subdivisions where you have to work around fence lines and structures, a small hoe makes sense. But, you would also be in competition with the ditch witch equipment which come in walk-behind models, which are fun to use by the way. Something to consider - it is very easy for a contractor to rent a small piece of equipment to perform a few tasks that are subsidiary to a large job, rather than take on an additional subcontractor to perform the work, just because he happens to own the small machine required. Some contractors rent, rather than own, most of their trucks and machinery. So with only this one piece of equipment, you may not get many jobs on large construction sites. That leaves small jobs for homeowners or small businesses. I rented a nice little trackhoe that stated a 7' reach, or maximum trench depth. In actuality, that depth can only be achieved directly below the machine, so 4' to 5' was the maximum depth of trench I could actually attain. It had a small dozer blade that I thought would save me renting an actual dozer, but this blade almost seemed like a design after thought and was impractical for most conventional use. I ended up returning the machine and renting a dozer anyway.
Q: i put in a fake rock background and side walls too by the way its really nice so anyways the substrate is excavator its really neat. it is a sand substrate but when you mix it with water it hardens to a concrete like sand really low risk of impaction and just in case she does get impacted i give her warm baths with a massage 1 day a week and no signs of impaction so every time i take her out to hold her she poops when i give her baths not even when she hits the water yet she pooped but never in her enclosure please help but every day i do make sure she poops but i would really like her to poop without me having to take her out to poop before this setup she was on repti carpet and pooped without any problems please help and give ideas thanks
Maybe the best thing to do is test some new foods and substrates out. Every week you just change the substrate type and food type here are some good simple substrates you should try newspaper, artificial grass and reptile carpet. And with the food try feeding her a differant type of food every week, basically it's just about trying to find the right combination for your reptile.
Q: What oil does the excavator burn?
0 diesel.Diesel fuel is injected into the combustion, take some time, so is suitable for low speed make full combustion of fuel to bring large torque, and in order to fight in the cylinder of high pressure and large torque, diesel engine cylinder and piston rod parts than gasoline engine gasoline engine is strong, so the more cumbersome. But it is because of the high compression ratio, low speed characteristics, can better heat into kinetic energy, so the diesel engine has better thermal efficiency, that is, better fuel consumption performance.
Q: Using the “straight line method” and “Inland Revenue” approved method of depreciation calculate the depreciation for a new excavator valued at ?65,000 with a working life of 10 years and explain the residual values.
do question 1 and 3 in the exam, theyre easier! good luck on the 4th may
Q: I have 30 feet long on driveway side and 40 feet long in the back yard that needs to be dug up and hauled away ( it's probably alot of clay)? I believe it's about 65 yards at 8 feet down, 3 feet out but I'm not sure how far out you need to go. And how much will pea gravel and sand be to buy and back fill? When everything is dug out, I will need to jack up my house and jack the 2 walls back in place and then fix the drain tiles if needed, tar and fix cracks before back filled. Might have to be a mini excavator.
theyll be charging you by the hour for this job.some hand shoveling involved in this job. Pipes?W/ires? who knows what might be in there.
