Q:I'd like to elevate my backyard and it's going to involve 333 square yards of soil. Does anybody know how much it would cost to get a dump truck, a driver, and how much soil dump trucks carry?
Ask some local excavators for a quote. The prices will flex as to where you are, how busy the companies are, how far they have to haul the stuff, current fuel costs, cost of the material and other issues.
Q:Crawler excavator would like to know the performance, price and maintenance of knowledge
For more information on excavators and more information on other engineering machinery, such as: bulldozers, road rollers, cranes and concrete spraying machine information.
Q:2003 nissan almera petrol.i am an elevator installer by trade but have worked as a fitter in a hire center for the last two years.i would have a good understanding of all things mechanical and im used to stripping machines and changing parts on anything from generators to chain hoists and mini excavators.i have never worked on a car clutch however and im wondering should i leave it to a professional or have a go myself?
No beer until the job is done! I am a DYI type myself, and have owned a lot of second hand (or more cars). From seeing the problems others have made, it is my conviction that beer and mechanical work do not mix. If you can find an engine hoist to rent (or buy) at a reasonable price, and have a second car to use for a parts runner- give some thought to doing it yourself. The sticking point on this job will come at one of two places (based on past experience)- 1. Pilot bearing. There is a special tool/s that may be needed. Some times they don't work because the old one is too far in (see the beer issue). So I have resorted to a die grinder more then once to get the old one out. Please don't do all this work with out replacing it, failure to do so can ruin the input shaft on some transmissions (see the beer issue). 2. Resurfacing the flywheel. If done soon enough the glaze will at least need to be broken for the new clutch to seat and work right. Other wise clutch chatter happens. If you have waited too long to do the job it will need resurfaced (the reason for a back up car). Of course if you get a spare fly wheel in advance (used or a light weight one) this can be avoided. Of course there will be something that goes wrong (putting the clutch disk in backwards, lost bolts, difficultly separating the assemblies or any one of other things). But if all goes close to plan, it is a four hour job. If things go wrong there might be a days delay waiting for parts. So plan accordingly.
Q:Recently, some people always say, "then the question comes", "which is stronger?" what does that mean?
The advertisement on TV has such a sentence: "excavator technology which is strong, China Shandong looking for Lan Xiang?". It's been a fire, and that's actually what people say about Lan Xiang. In fact, it was very difficult for Lan Xiang to start up at the beginning. We should understand them. After all, Lan Xiang has trained a large number of human resources. PS: can be specific to Baidu search: Lan Xiang.
Q:how to get free useful information on the maintenance of excavators?
You okorder .with more info and I will try to help you if I can.
Q:I just accidentally put diesel fuel in the hydraulic oil reservoir of an excavator. Most of it drained out from the top because it was over flowing. That's how i noticed. If I could guess there is less than one gallon of diesel in there and it is a pretty big excavator so it has a big hydraulic tank. Just wondering if the pressure will cause the diesel to combust. It's a rental an I only need it for another hour or 2. Thanks
When compressed, diesel fuel explodes.
Q:We are having an excavator come and rip out our back yard to make it level and finally have grass growing where pine trees once stood. The excavator is recommending that we mulch the old lawn and put it back into the ground, underneath our new sod and irrigation system. I can understand the organic material aspect of it, but wouldn't that just encourage the crab grass to come back? Also, with the old pine needles, wouldn't that add too much acid and kill the new sod? I am confused. Also a little weirded out because our wonderful dog likes to eat socks and other unmentionables, wouldn't that also end up under our new lawn? GOTTA love home improvement!
Old pine needles will not make your soil acid, so do not fear that. Crab grass is an annual that grows from seed each year, it germinates in response to sunlight. So unless you are going to remove the top layer of soil, burying the grab grass is a good idea. Mulching under the new sod is not a good idea, unless the new sod will be watered consistently each day until established. It would be better to add good top soil instead of mulch before laying down the sod.
Q:He works outside as an excavator he doesn't want anything fancy, he wants something durable and I don't know anything about it. but before I go to the jewlery store I want to know I am doing this right LOL
Tungsten Carbide is very strong, very hard, practically scratch-resistant and is a heavier darker metal. One downside to this metal is it can be difficult or impossible to resize so with weight fluctuations, may need to be replaced in the future. Other than that small detail, I think it's a great choice. It's also very affordable, so if the ring did need replacing, it can easily be done.
Q:I'm going to be building a larger tank for my uromastyx. I tried in the past to me ledges for him out of excavator clay but he is so heavy (and he clawed at them) that he can't really sit on them comfortably. Is there a good way to make a sturdy ledge that would wrap around a corner? I'd put it on the side he basks on so he can get closer to the lamp if he wants :)
Use PVC piping to support the ledge. Cover the pipes in clay to make them look more natural. Use something like a food grade silicone to secure the ledge to the wall. I'd do something like this: 1x piece of wood cut to size and (optional) covered in clay to make look more natural 6x PVC pipe cut to the height you want the ledge from the bottom of the tank. 1x tube of food grade air dry silicone Put one PVC pipe on each of the four corners of the wood. Connect them with silicone to the wood. Place the remaining two at the corners of the wood where it forms the corners of the ledge. Silicone all to the tank. Here's a simple paint drawing I made to demonstrate what I meant. Of course, it's not going to be just what you want. You have to change it to meet your own needs. (Brown is the ledge. White inside black outlined box is the tank. White circles are the PVC pipe. Everything would be silicone-ed in place.
Q:obviously, i can't really get a yes or no answer on this, but what i'm actually looking for is, what proof is there that the trojan war could have possibly happened?so far i've got- Parry's experiment in regards to how the story was passed down- Ancient Historians (herodotus, [he spoke about wife stealing])- Archaeological evidence (they found a possible site of Troy)- I NEED MORE!!!!!! any other ideas, even if they are just your own stupid theories)
This Site Might Help You.
