Q: I've got a badly clogged bathroom sink. I took out the draiin cover and I can see where the water is just standing/ draining extremely slowly. I can't reach the clog, but I was able to get a wire coat hanger into it and pull out a small bit of hair (not sure how hair even got into the sink!) but it didn't do anything to speed the draning. There could be a small bit of gravel in the drain from a few months ago as well as some bits of paper (all on accident, I'd never put anything down there!). I already tried some baking soda and vinegar but it didnt help, the vinegar just made the water level raise. The water is maybe 6 or 7 inches from the drain (not in the sink, in the pipe). What should I do? Thanks for your help :)
The clog is, most likely, in the p-trap. If you look under the sink, it's the pipe is shaped like a U. A coat hanger won't make the bend, to reach most of the clog. So, if you don't feel that taking it off yourself is possible, they (hardware, home depot stores) carry plastic drain snakes. Designed exactly for the problem you have. Be careful, wear goggles,& good luck.
Q: How much is the counter basin?
According to ergonomics, the most comfortable hanging cabinet lifting height is the user viewing line height, generally between 1500--1600. If you have more questions, you can click on ID consultation.
Q: Bathroom wash basin fitted with the cabinet or not equipped with a good cabinet?
If it is a cabinet company made it or with the cabinet of the good results are also good and the problem is the warranty if it is their own decoration, then that is not necessary
Q: My bathroom sink seems to smell regardless of what you dump down it. The bath drain is fine along with all the rest of the drains in the house besides the bathroom sink drain... What should be done to make the smell go away for good?(while being cost effective as I am renting an apartment?)... Should I just have a plumber try something or ? Thanks for your detailed answer... Tom
Install the stopper in the sink. Add one cup of bleach to the sink. Run water, slowly to prevent splashing, and allow the water to run into the overflow hole of the sink. Keep running the water until the bleach smell is gone. Before doing this, make sure your sink has an overflow hole, as some of the newer sinks do not. Many times, the smell is caused by mold or other bacteria in between the sink body. This is where the bleach water will go, and then through the drain piping. It will take care of either odor problem.
Q: There doesnt seem to be any brackets. We attached the cabinet to the wall and attached the drain and water supply but the sink itself isnt secured to anything and doesnt seem safe.
If the sink sits in a cut-out in the top of the cabinet, the plumbing should pull it down tight enough. It should all be adjustable for that purpose. If it sits on top of an open cabinet, the answer above should work. Caulk it to the back wall and to the top edges of the cabinet and then, again, adjust the plumbing to hold it down tight. By adjust I mean, the drain is on a telescopic system where as you loosen the collar, push the sink down tight and then tighten the collar. The water feeds can then be bent to pull them up tight too.
Q: Hello, I installed the 16L gas water heater in the kitchen on the 4th floor, there are basin, shower, bathtub on the 5th floor. 4 floor hot water can be provided to the 5th floor?
Should be it, but do not recommend doing so, why not installed in 5F it?
Q: there like little... and they are like on the top theres usually 3 or just 1... and if you pour water in them.. they smell kinda odd?! but the never seen to pass water?!
give like old man casey like some good old credit like
Q: Ok I was washing my bathroom sink with some sort of cleaner and apparently it was not the right kind. Since then the sink does not drain properly (dirty water stays in it for days and days) and there are a million little hairs (from shaving) stuck in the basin. It seems it melted whatever material it is made out of (some kind of ceramic, i think). Not only is it gross and hard to use (I cant run water for very long or it will fill up) but I am also afraid what it is going to cost. Does anyone know how I can fix this, or how much it is going to cost (to be taken out of my apartment deposit)? Thanks.
You think you melted it? That kind of sink is man made and needs only windex to clean. Ceramic doesn't melt. If this is a rental unit you'll have to replace it. Stores sell a can drain clearer that you put over drain and push down. It has a large red top with a pencil sized hole. The can seals itself against drain and shoots a powerful air blast down to clear it out when you push down on the can.
Q: i need ideas about adding 3 new funtions to a bathroom sink, this 3 new functions need to be something that attract the public, something neccesary .any ideas would be aprecciated.
You can use modern basins and taps for making an awesome look. Like spring system long taps. Use beautiful and top setting showers. If it's a big place bathroom then set a bath tub with a warming system. This will be I hope an awesome bathroom and use the off white color on the wall.
Q: How about the basin down the water
Sure there is no good arc
