Q: I painted my living room and I covered my carpet the best I could; however, there's always that little blotch of paint that somehow slips through. I tried Goof Off paint remover and I think it sucks. Any good recommendations?
it okorder / the only problem is if you use one product, it could prevent the next attempt from being successful because the chemical reactions may make it colorfast.
Q: I have just gotten a large area rug and Ihave put it on a bare floor. Do I need to put something under the rug. It is not slipping or anythhing.
They have non skid for carpets in the throw rug department at Kmart or Walmart. But you can use extra carpet padding and it improves the cushion of the carpeting a lot. Much more comfy. I just did it for a 5 by 7 in my entry way. It made a huge difference. See if you can get a piece the size you need from a carpet installer. The sponge will actually tape together with duck tape allowing you to use scraps.
Q: I have a smooth wood floor, and I just bought a rug without the rubber or weaved backing and it seems to slip around on the floor. Does anyone have any cheap suggestions that they know actually work to keep it from slipping all over my living room? Thanks!
Go to you local hardware/home improvement store and pick up some of the rubber backing. They sell it in rolls by itself. Cut it to shape to fit your rug. It may be in the shelving area, because they also sell it to keep dishes and things from sliding off shelves. Double-sided carpet tape also works, but it can kill your wood floor.
Q: My carpet is very stained and is supposed to be tan but because i have three kids and a dog who spill everything they can on it, its now multi colored and i have tried almost every carpet cleaner there is to try and get it clean. Ive used every resolve product, oxyclean, baking soda, and a lot of white vinegar and nothing works! Ive searched in resolved questions about this and got a lot of mixed answers. Some said they did it and it worked great then others said it can make them even worse by making the glue in the carpet fibers come apart. We live in post housing and i already know we are going to have to have the carpet replaced when we leave but that's not for another year or two. Im so embarrassed by it that i don't even like to have our friends over. I would like to know if anybody has bleached their carpets to make them white and if they have did the fibers in the carpets unravel weeks or months later??? Or did everything go okay and the carpets look better???
never never bleach your carpet! Hie a professonal carpet cleaner. or steamer. Try Stanely carpet steamer if you want, i think it is a good company. they are in Chicagoarea.
Q: What are the specifications of the carpet
The main material are polypropylene, nylon, wool, imported wool. Acrylic fibres。 Size and specification are determined by the volum of orders and actual demand. Carpet tile is mainly 50cm*50cm, specifications of fully covered blankets can be customized, high material types (cashmere, carpet, handmade carpets, Chris Muenster, Weill section of carpet) patterns can be designed according to the requirements.
Q: There's carpet in the house. What's the pest?
When storing carpets, sprinkle some sanitary balls evenly on the carpet, then wrap them tightly and place them in the air. The best place is half a meter to the height of the ground.
Q: I just recently moved into an apartment that is all carpet. Wanted to know if there is any sort of temporary hardwood (or anything similar) floors, I can install over the carpet, since I am renting and cant rip out the carpets
No. But they do make bamboo rugs in large sizes.
Q: My carpet is going to kill me. This is southern texas, and there is always dust everywhere. How can I thoroughly clean the carpet? I really can't afford a big machine, and I borrowed my moms cheap one, and it did nothing. If I buy carpet cleaner, can I just scrub it with my tub scrub brush or something?
I do not think you can ever thoroughly clean a carpet, regardless of your region. My suggestion is, use a high powered, vacuum, like a shopvac, with a carpet brush. This will suck as much dust out of the carpet as possible. Do not use an upright vacuum, or one with a moving brush, because this creates vibrations, which will just drive much of the dust between the carpet and under-pad, even between the under-pad and the floor. If the dust is really bothering you, consider pulling up the carpet. What is underneath? If there is a finish, great. If not, it probably is not that expensive to put down wood or tile. Then you can sweep and/or wash to get your floor the cleanest possible. I live in southern Ontario, in an ancient house, and just last year I pulled up the carpet in my front room. It revealed great-looking floorboards, and has made me feel so much better -- you would not believe the amount of dust and crap under the carpet and under-pad.
Q: what is the best paint and carpet brand out there? i have no clue about those stuff!
there are videos of how carpet is made and what to look for. They also now make paint.
Q: Does a rug doctor perform well on your carpet?
I don't know yet i want to rent one too
