Maintainance guide:
Make sure that you regulaly clean the wood floors in order to prevent dust accumulation. We recommand to clean a small part
of stains as a testing ground to prevent too much chromatic aberration.
Dust and stain— use a hard brush dipped in warm soapy water to remove it.
Mildew— scrub with ordinary wood mode class agents, or bleach to rinse or wipe it directly.
Chalk stains—In addition to the while chalk, other colors can not be removed, you can use bleaching agent with hot soapy
water to wash it.
Ice or snow—Apply calcium chloride or rock salt, it can melt ice or snow, then use hot soapy water to wash it.
Stain soil and dirts— Apply detergent, which contains oxalic acid or phosphoric acid. Whiping the stain for 10-15 mins.
Greasy and oil-based stains—immediately use household cleaning products with hot soapy water to wash it.
Juice and wine stains—Mixed the bleach stain agent and hot soapy water to dilute the stain and wipe.

- Q: I've been searching youtube for floor music but instead i watched floor routines, i came across some floor routines with words/lyrics but i thought you weren't supposed to have lyrical floor routines. I want to do a dubstep (scary monsters and nice sprites!) HELP
- I think it's changed a little bit because when I was a gymnast we weren't allowed to have any type of vocals in our music, whether than be oh la la or actual words. But I noticed Gabby Douglas' floor music had vocal sounds in it, which was obviously allowed. From what I could find, floor music is still not allowed to have any lyrics, but it can have vocal sounds if the voice is used as an instrument, like the humming in Gabby's music. So if you want to do the Skrillex song you'd have to make sure the minute or minute and a half (depending on what level you are) that you use has no words, I think it's a whole point deduction for having words in your floor music. This is for competitive gymnastics, I think in college it could be a little different, but I don't know the rules for that, I'm assuming you still can't have music for competitions but if it's for an exhibition show or something it would be fine. I think the videos you may have seen were from exhibition shows such as the Kellogg's Tour of Champions or something where they aren't actually competing, they're just showing off and having fun!

- you sure you need to replace them? If the basement isn't needed for anything you could get around the problem for a couple hundred dollars, just use adjustable columns going to beams made out of 2x6 lumber in the middle of the span that's sagging/bouncing. Make sure to put the columns on a base of some sort. pressure treated lumber would probably work. You wouldn't be supporting more than the weight of the floor so this is a pretty easy DIY project. (keep in mind I'm offering general advice, I don't know your reasons for wanting to replace) For replacing its all going to be labor cost. You will probably end up sistering new joists next to the existing ones unless there's some special reason they need to be removed. The total amount could be anything from $50 per joist to WAY more depending on how much electrical/plumbing/HVAC is in the way, how the home is constructed, how many joists, and what level of professional you need/find. I highly recommend taking pictures and reposting. let us know the problem and what you can spend and get some good ideas for different fixes

- Q: I am getting ready to lay some laminate flooring. I am going to replace the bueatiful parquet flooring the previous owners left in the dining room and the linoleum tiles placed over the linoleum sheet floor in the attached kitchen!! (The previous sentence was written with sarcasm!!) I have removed the parquet and both layers of linoleum, and was left with the subfloor covered in dry glue where the parquet was and what looks like floor leveler where the linoleum was. The glue for the parquet is some what even but coarse, the "floor leveler" is cracked and big pieces are missing sporadically around floor where it came up with the flooring.I was wondering how even the floor has to be for the laminate? I am going to be putting down padding, but want to make sure I don't have boards that sink when you walk on them. If you do recomend me removing the filler and the glue, what do you think I should use?Thanks.
- As long as the irregularities don't resemble a mountain range then a suitable under floor insulation will even them out enough for the laminate to lie flat. I would recommend the thicker, stiff insulation which comes in rigid sheets. It covers more sins than the foam roll kind and gives far better thermal insulation. A fact you'll be grateful for the first time you walk across the floor on a winter morning in bare feet! ;)

- If you have a nestbox up then this is fine. If you intend for the birds to lay eggs on the cage floor this most likely will not happen. If by chance it does happen (which is extremely rare) then they will not hatch.

- I thought a floating floor was a good way to do a basement and means the floor is slightly elevated off the slab. This way heating or cooling and electronic cabling , and wiring for outlets. (computers esp)can be run under the floor rather than through concrete walls. It is a platform system that can be covered with a number of materials. compartment doors allow access to cabling. If they are calling pergo type flooring floating flooring now...I do not see how having a basement with finished surfaces is a bad thing.
