Q: I have a leopard gecko enclosure and i am wondering if it is better to have rug in the tank or calcium sand ... please no immature answers: The rug. Its far easier to clean then the calcium sand and you don't have to worry about impaction. Sand also can get in the geckos eyes, nose, ears, and it can dye the geckos skin colors along with irritating the geckos skin. Sand is also hard to clean out of tanks. Sand has to be replaced every time you clean the tank. When the gecko poops the bacteria in the poop will spread around the tank from the crickets stepping on it, the gecko stepping on it, etc.. Sand also pretty expensive. Carpet / rugs also have their problems. The geckos nails can be caught in the fibers and be pulled out. Teeth can get stuck in the carpet. You also might look into slate tiles or any other unglazed tiles. They work great and you don;t have to worry about impaction or the nails getting pulled out.

Q: We just bought a house and the master bedroom has wool carpet in it and I just wanted to know how to clean it!!: Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.

Q: i have a old rug its a shaggy type rug that i got when my great grandfather passed away and im not sure what year its from all i know is that its way over 20 years because he had it when i was born, and it was old then. i want to know what i can get to clean it with out it messing it up, right before he passed away he had put it in a box out in his barn and it smells its not really dirty it just smells and i've tried many things and all they do is just cover up the smell for a little while, if anyone know how i could get it cleaned please let me know, thanks: It is dirty and really smells. For the paint you could try spraying hairspray on it and it might come out easier. You could put club soda, bleach, baking soda and water, or nail polish remover on stains and scrub it with a wet wash cloth, and it should clean your carpet. You could also try a steam cleaner.

Q: How do I remove the carpet glue stuck to the floor tiles?.: Nail polish remover. The usage is similar to alcohol acetone. The effect is also good. Washing water does not require quality, good or general, as long as you can wash off all nail polish.

Q: Ok so i want to get new carpet in my basement and on the Home Depot website it says that youcan get any size carpet for only $139, but idk if this includes taking the old carpet out. If not, then how would i do that, and/or how much will it cost???: They give you an estimate if you go in and tell them the size of the room. Removing is usually included in carpet stores but Home Depot might charge for that but you can ask.
