Q: so im lost in how i should wire my subs. I have two subs that i need to wire both are 2 ohms 400 watts i don't know if i should wire them parallel or series if you can help me out that would be great!
usually all sub wiring is the same, youll have the rca cables and antenna wire comming from the radio to the amp, power and ground wire going from amp to battery and ground, and than should have 2 wires coming off each sub to the amp, im guessing thatd be parallel, if you wire in series, so like use 2 wires and splice off to each sub, so 2 wires off the amp powering each sub you would up the ohms and put a too much of a load on the amp, people only wire in series when they have too many subs and not enough outlets on the amp, good luck
Q: The outlet box has 2 black wires capped together, 2 white wires capped together, 2 bare wires capped together, and a single red wire. The light fixture I want to install is a two bulb fixture that has 2 black wires, 2 white wires, and 1 bare wire.
The wires on your ceiling fixture are called ROMEX. This is the big casing that has two insulated wires and one bare wire. The bare wire is the ground. The romex coming into the box comes from the source and the other comes from the switch. Black is HOT coming into the box from the Romex that has only the black and white wires. To be sure about this, take the cover off the switch on the wall and see what wires are present there. This might show that a three way switch is installed somewhere if there is two switches that control that light. As far as the light fixture that you have, connect the two white wires and the two black wires together and then one of those pair goes to the white wires in the ceiling box and the other goes to the red wire.
Q: having a difficult time finding a wire for my remoter starter
The white wire to the coil is the tach wire. If you have the 4.3L,there is a white wire with a black tracer from the ignition control module to the coil. If that doesn't help,on the PCM,in the red connector, terminal 10 is the tach wire from the PCM to the Instrument cluster, this wire is also white.
Q: I am replacing an electrical outlet that currently has 3 white and 3 black wires plus the ground wire. The bad outlet has 3 holes already in it for each of the wires but my new outlet does not, there are only 2 holes and/or the 2 screw on each side. How do I install this new outlet? Do I need to do the pigtail here?
=== the back side wire holes are for 14 gauge wire and the screws hold the 12 gauge wire and the green screws are for the ground wires == if all six [6] wires are in the wall and are not jumpers then you may be dealing with two separate circuits on two di
Q: Are two wires of the same material but different in thickness and length? Are their young's modulus of elasticity the same?
The elastic modulus is the inherent property of the material and, once the material is determined, the modulus of elasticity has been determined, irrespective of shape
Q: How do electric and other companies decide on strung wires in consideration of snowfall?
There is usually a strength member wire that is incorporated into the cables that has no other purpose than support.
Q: I know there must be a difference, and reason why some wires have a solid strand behind the rubber, or some have several strands. can someone explain to me how it works and the differences in wire. m trying to get my head into electricity. resources would be good too.
Stranded or solid are the same in so far as performance. The stranded is used where flexibility is needed. solid wire is prone to breaking when repeatedly flexed. Solid wire is a bit cheaper, and easier to work with where you need the wire to stay in a particular shape. .
Q: Im wiring my pioneer deh x3600ui to my pontiac grand am gt 2002 directly without a factory harness. Any diagrams out there i can use? The red wire on my pioneer is for the ignition but i cant find that wire on the pontiac.
if u cant find a diagram u can always check the speakers for the colors of the wires and then just try to get a hold a cheap little voltage meter like the one below just to find ur ground, remote, and battery wire.
Q: I am installing a Pioneer head unit in a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. All the wires from the harness to the deck are connected according to color. I was able to connect all of the wires except for the stock orange/black wire coming out of Nissan's harness. I am assuming this wire has something to do with the illumination. The pioneer does not have an orange/black wire to connect it to. The deck will not turn on at all if the orange/black wire is:- not connected to anything- connected to the red power wire- connected to the yellow power wireThe deck will turn on if the orange/black wire is:- connected to the black ground wire- connected to the remote wireHowever when the headlights are turned on the head unit cuts off and will not turn back on until the headlights are shut off again. In other words, the deck will work fine until the headlight switch is turned to the on position. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Thanks, Dan
they are there merely in the adventure that your automobile has a characteristic to dim upload-ons. you dont want them connect them everywhere in maximum circumstances, thy are in basic terms a luxury in the adventure that your automobile has that characteristic.
Q: im hooking up a air/fuel tomorrow and i need to know what color the wire for the sensor signal is on my rt... i have 4 wires and heres the colors and were they are from. t/w or o/t from c124 b/lbl from c14 and c315 b gound and o/dg from fuse a... need answer thanks
It should be the BLK/ LB wire (although my wiring schematic shows that wire BLK/ GREEN), It will be the only circuit that have a varying voltage between 0-1 volt. Probe the wires with a DVOM and determine which wire has the signal, one wire will supply B+ for the heater, one is heater ground, one is reference supply voltage and one is signal return The signal return is the circuit you need to tap.
