Q:Stains tends to leave on the stainless steel microwave oven and its very hard to clean off the stain (brownish stain) please suggest the best way to remove it.
i am not sure what country you are in but in australia we have this stuff called easy off bam and if you leave it on for half an hour then wipe it off that does the trick. If that option is not available, I know it sounds silly, but try either toothpaste or some lemon juice mixed with bicarbonate of soda. Good Luck i hope that helps you some :)
Q:How are steel coils annealed to improve their properties?
Steel coils are annealed by heating them to a specific temperature and then slowly cooling them down. This process helps to relieve internal stresses, improve ductility, and refine the grain structure, resulting in enhanced mechanical properties.
Q:i need flint and steel. are there common household items i can get the flint and the steel from????
no common flint and steel in the house === you need to buy a Boy Scout - flint and steel fire starter kit === or a BIC lighter ... the other thing is a small jar filled with water [[ capped and water level near the top.]] hold the water-jar over some
Q:How are steel coils used in the production of industrial storage tanks?
Industrial storage tanks commonly utilize steel coils due to their superior strength and durability. These coils are typically crafted from high-quality steel that is rolled into a coil shape, enabling convenient transportation and handling. During the production process, steel coils are initially uncoiled and flattened to create steel sheets. These sheets are then cut and formed into the desired shape and size for the storage tank. The steel sheets are joined together through welding or bolting to construct the tank's body, which is designed to endure high pressure and heavy loads. The utilization of steel coils in the production of industrial storage tanks offers numerous benefits. Firstly, the strength and durability of steel ensure that the tanks can withstand harsh conditions and resist corrosion. This is particularly vital for storage tanks containing corrosive substances or exposed to severe environments. Moreover, the flexibility of steel coils permits customization of the tank's design and size. This is especially advantageous in industries with varying storage requirements, like the oil and gas sector. Steel coils can be effortlessly cut and molded into diverse shapes and sizes, facilitating the creation of storage tanks tailored to specific storage needs. Furthermore, steel coils are easily transportable and storable, making them a cost-effective choice for industrial storage tank production. The coils can be efficiently transported to the manufacturing facility, reducing transportation costs and logistical complexities. In conclusion, steel coils play a crucial role in the production of industrial storage tanks by providing strength, durability, and customization options. Their usage guarantees the safe storage and protection of various substances, rendering them indispensable in a wide range of industries.

The corrosion resistance and ability to withstand high temperatures and aggressive chemicals make stainless steel coils a reliable choice for handling various chemical substances. 8. Manufacturing industry: Stainless steel coils are used in a wide range of manufacturing processes such as stamping, forming, and fabrication. The versatility, durability, and ease of machining of stainless steel make it a popular choice for various industrial applications. Overall, the common applications of stainless steel coils are vast and varied, thanks to their exceptional properties like corrosion resistance, strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
Q:how much pressure can steel withstand? and how much pressure can concrete withstand? per m3 or cm3? thanks
A common allowable stress for steel is 24,000 psi for A36 steel. Note that allowable stress is a working stress that is less than ultimate stress the stress at which the material will rupture. This allowable stress keeps the steel within the elastic range. Concrete allowable stress is typically around 3000 psi. Concrete, though, being a mixed material has variable values for allowable stress. Reinforced concrete design theory suggests that concrete should not be considered to be able to carry much, if any, tensile force. This explains why you will see steel rebar or reinforcing bars cast in to the concrete. The steel is there to carry any tensile forces, while the concrete is there to carry compression forces. This is a VERY basic explanation. There are entire books on both of these subjects...
Q:hi, i have a steel block with an unussual composition. does anyone know if this is any particular type?c- .6%, si - .33%, mn - .6%, sulphur - .014%, phosphorous - .013%, ni - 1.69%, Cr, 1.07%, molybdenum - .67%
You have opened a can of worms. Specific types of steel vary not only by composition but by the way they were made, their physical properties and their morphology (microscopic structure). The composition you have given would fit for High Carbon Steel and Medium Carbon Steel. Go to the reference I've given, it allows you to put in 3 of the components of your alloy and then it gives you a list of possibilities. You can open each candidate individually and see the full composition. Hours of fun. :)
Q:How are steel coils used in the production of electrical wiring?
Steel coils are used in the production of electrical wiring as a core material for the conductors. The steel coils are typically shaped into a cylindrical form and coated with an insulating material. This helps in providing structural support to the wiring and also enhances its conductivity and durability.
Q:I wanna strip down my bike and take off all the paint... im thinking of leaving it just the steal color... Do i need to put anythinng on the steel to coat it or can i just leave it like that... Will it rust or anything?
If it's stainless steel or aluminum, it won't rust. Chances are the bike parts that have been painted are of metals that will rust. If you like the metal color, then you can get paints that look like metal or you can clear coat it. You might want to consider just a grey primer.
Q:Can steel coils be painted or coated?
Yes, steel coils can be painted or coated. Painting or coating steel coils is a common practice to enhance their aesthetic appeal, protect against corrosion, and improve durability.
