Q: Hello. No freakin' website has no dam info on what products have carbon steel in them. I know it's in cooking equipment and tools, but what tools?i.e It's in a wrench or strainerSo what products have carbon steel in them?
there are too many products that have carbon steel in them. just ask yourself whether it rusts, if it does then it has carbon steel. If not then it probably isn't.
Q: What is the role of steel coils in the manufacturing of appliances?
Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of appliances to provide strength, durability, and structural integrity to the appliance components. They serve as the foundation for various parts, such as the body, frame, and internal structures, ensuring stability and support. Steel coils also contribute to the overall performance and lifespan of appliances by withstanding high temperatures, corrosion, and mechanical stress.
Q: Do any tour players use steel shafted woods? And are there any real advantages to having steel shafted woods? I have only played with one person to use steel shafted woods, he tells me thats because he cant hit it straight with graphite, however he is a very short hitter.
Graphite shafts are generally better for the amateur golfer. Graphite shafts are more forgiving than stell shafts. With graphite shafts, it is easier to get the ball in the air, and keep your ball trajectory always with good height. For SOME above average golfers and tour professionals, steel shafted woods find their way into their bags. This is because steel shafts have the ability of being more precise in terms of direction. However, to hit steel shafted woods, you need a lot of power and a slightly faster than normal tempo. Point is, if your a golfer that plays this sport for the leisure, or don't want to be stressed, take the graphite shafts. But if you're a single-digit handicapper, and feel you're physically fit ALL THE TIME, then go ahead and try the steel shafts.
Q: I have a steel support beam can you remove one of the poles . the steel beam set on sender blocks on both side of the foundation. I have three steel beams support beam across the basement,I just want to remove one pole, can that be done.
There's no way I am giving advice here. Hire a contractor to actually look at the load bearing of the pole.
Q: I wanted to get a cheapo ring and I found one I like, but it's stainless steel. Is that bad? Will it get dull and tarnished fast?
Stainless steel will never tarnish so you don't have to worry about it. It's a better choice than silver, for silver, you'll have to clean it with either a cleaner product or toothpaste. Oh yeah, and stainless steel has that cool and modern look.
Q: hey i was looking to buy a khukuri machete by cas iberia. its made of carbon steel but doesnt say which one. anyone that is into knives and all that know how this would hold up and the rust resistance of it? mostly be used for cutting bush and small trees
Ricki is correct. There is no way to tell how much carbon is present just from the term carbon steel. It comes in a wide range of grades within the general classifications of low, medium, and high carbon steel. What you'll get depends on the quality of the knife. As the carbon content increases, the steel becomes harder, stronger, and more responsive to heat treatment. It also becomes more brittle, so a **very** high carbon steel would not be the best thing for a machete. As Ricki said, plain carbon steels are not rust resistant. However, I have had a carbon steel machete for over 40 years and it's just fine. If you take care of it, it will last.
Q: I was curious to what type of steel I should get if I wanted something that kept its edge longer than 154cm but is still just as stainless. I don't know much about knife steels inform me please?
154cm is a very good knife steel, the problem is in the heat treating. Stainless should be cryo treated to get all it can offer. That being said, if you really want to drop some coin, look at getting one made from CPM 440V. Stainless isn't as strong as carbon but on a smaller knife works well. You might also look for D-2 Tool steel. There are factory knives that are made of that.
Q: What are the different methods of joining steel coils?
There are several methods used for joining steel coils, including welding, brazing, soldering, and mechanical fastening. Welding is the most common method, which involves melting the edges of the coils and fusing them together. Brazing and soldering involve using a filler metal with a lower melting point to join the coils. Mechanical fastening methods include using bolts, screws, or clips to connect the coils together. Each method has its own advantages and is chosen based on the specific requirements and constraints of the application.
Q: I have an old classical guitar, which uses nylon strings. ive never really liked the sound produced by the nylon, so im curious if you can use a classical guitar with acoustic guitar steel strings. thanks!
Everyone okorder /... The treble strings are steel, but are gauged so that they are at a lower tension than the treble strings on a western acoustic. The bass strings in Martin Silk Steel have a silk based core, and a metal wrap wire (just like in normal classical guitar strings), which again keeps the tension in the strings lower than its steel based cousins. The Martin Silk and Steel will give you a more western acoustic sound, but it won't be exactly the same as a western acoustic guitar.
Q: How are steel coils packaged for shipping?
Steel coils are typically packaged for shipping by being tightly wound and secured with steel bands or straps. They are then placed on wooden pallets or in steel cradles to ensure stability during transportation. Additionally, protective packaging materials such as plastic or cardboard may be used to prevent damage from moisture, dust, or other external factors.
