- Q: There are 3 wires where the old floodlight used to be and only 2 wires attached to the floodlight I want to install. How can I tell which wires connect to which... and what is the third wire?
- One wire is probably a ground. Is it bare copper or green? If so it's meant for ground. Black is hot and white is neutral.
- Q: Which television show is better, Oz or the Wire? Why?
- ox because its more drama filled and most characters won't changed unless killed
- Q: I have an immersion heater in my hot water cylinder (UK airing cubbard), but the wiring isn't connected. But, I seem to be missing a small piece or two. The previous lead wire from the timer/switch is stil there and has two wires in it. Does someone have a generic wiring digram showing which wires connect to the thermostat and which wires connect to the heating element? Thanks!
- Normal wiring with two connections on thermostat, on from timer and two on element would be a single wire from one of the timer wires to one connection on thermostat, one wire from other connection on thermostat to heater connection, then one wire from other heater connection back to remaining connection on timer. This is if the thermostat is high voltage and not a low voltage signal to a controller perhaps on the timer.
- Q: Is there a Martial Arts / Fighting style that uses wires or whats the practices that uses wires called?
- The closest you're going to get to anything in reality that's even remotely close to wire, string or thread is is the Rope Dart, in Chinese called Zhang Ruihong. Then there's also the chain whip, although it's made of metal. There's also an Okinawan weapon known as the Suruchin. It's literally a string of rope with rocks tied at the end. There's no real weapon that even remotely resembles Walter from Hellsing, aside from the piano wire tuck in the spy watch gag. I'm afraid you're not going to find what you're looking for.
- Q: I have a kicker cvr 12 inch 2 ohm dual voice coil sub (400 watts) and a kicker zx750 amp. how to wire?
- wire it in series so you get a 4ohm load. not unless you could still return the sub and get the cvr with dual 4ohm voicecoils. then you can wire that in parallel to 2ohms and get the most out of your amp.
- Q: it still has the harness but im not sure which wires are what and its a 14 pin connector
- Do okorder You can also get install kits.
- Q: Why is the current limiting circuit used to measure the resistance of wire by voltammetry?
- Because the resistance of wire is very small, almost zero. According to the current, equal to the voltage divided by the resistor, it is known that the resistance is almost an hour and the current is close to infinity. This will burn out the power supply, so the current limiting method must be used
- Q: wire colors and funtions
- Most Common Firing Order For Cars Is Plug 1, Plug 4, Plug 2, Plug 3 But Get A Haynes Manual And Check, I Dont Want To Blow Your Engine :)
- Q: I want two lights on two 3-way switches.1. Power from basement box into light #1 with 12-2 wire. 2. Another 12-2 wire from light #1 to light #2.3. A 12-3 wire from light #1 to switch #1.4. Another 12-3 wire from light #2 to switch #2. Will this do it?
- nevermind what I think....the guy under me knows EXACTLY what he is talking about! Do it exactly like he says. His way is better than mine was, honestly, because he has more experience. Thats why I deleted my own answer----we call that professional courtesy to seniority and its what electricians do when someone has more experience than we have speaks up. Now it doesnt matter what I think....I only have 22 years experience and someone with more experience than I has given better, sounder advice than I did. You should listen to him, not me.......or anybody else whom cannot match or exceed his experience. Or didnt you know that all Electricians are part of the same Brotherhood? This is why we always agree (or agree to be wrong). I was wrong, obviously, and my advice, second rate, compared to the advice you are about to get. So.....Pay attention! Wisdom follows!!!!
- Q: I removed my old door chime/bell a few years ago and replaced it with a wireless one. That one quit working and now I am attempting to install a new wired one again. The only problem is, when I removed my old one way back, I failed to label the existing wires to where they go. I have two wires coming out of my wall mount, one white, one brown and the both have a white and red wire sticking out of them. I am not sure which one/ones will connect to the FRONT and TRANS posts on my new chime. I don't have a rear door bell button so that is not a problem. Which wire goes to the FRONT and TRANS and do I cap off any of the 4 wires? My installation instructions don't cover the mindless mistake of not having the wires labled.
- one wire is coming from the door bell and on is going to a transformer, all you have to do is make it into a series circuit, connect the two red wires together from each cable take one white wire and hook to trans on the door bell and the other to the front. if you want to check this out you need a meter set it for AC under 100v check each set of wires for 12-24v red to white at each cable the one that dosent have power is going to the button at the door while button is pushed check this wire for continuity if this all checks about than wire as i described above
