- force between two current carrying wires per unit length = 10^-7*2i_1*i_2/a if current is in same direction force is attractive else repulsive.. now you use this and solve yourself.. as it is not clear from the data you provided.. whether the wire 3 is in middle or left end or right end.. but i have told you the concept.. i hope this helps.. if u need more help provide me with the image

- The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.

- Q: When you electromagnetize a nail with wire coiled around it, then connect it to a small battery, how come it works when the wire has been been insulated,..... and what if you were to use uninsulated wire.
- If the wire were uninsulated, then the coils of wire would short circuit. This would bypass the current and no magnetising would occur. Although a wire with current passing through it has a magnetic field, coiling the wire concentrates the magnetic field. When you put the nail in the coil it couples this field and the random magnetic particles align forming a magnet.

- No the wire won't melt - besides fuse wire or solder, the lowest common melting point wire is aluminum and it melts at over 1200F Floral wire is usually steel and melts at more like 3000F, but even if it were copper, that melts at about 1900F The real problem with using wire in polymer sculptures is that when the clay shrinks in baking it may pull apart along the wire or that you may make parts of your sculpture thin (like legs or arms) and part thick (like body or head) and thick clay tends to crack - so these parts need to be hollow, which is why people talk about crumpling heavy duty aluminum foil as a core, so the clay is more uniform in thickness all over. Don't forget to have an oven thermometer for accurate temperature checking - don't trust the knob setting on the oven.

- Q: Ok. so i wired my cd deck into my 92 buick, but everytime i start the car i have to manually turn on the cd deck. i also have to change the settings everytime! and once i turn off the car the setting will not save and the setting will be lost. Now everytime i turn my car on i have to manually put the settings again! this did not happen in my old car! and i think it might be the wiring! Because the last cd deck i had did save the settings! and would turn thge cd player on everytime i turned on my car!! and it would play the track back, right where i left off. please help! i did attach the yellow cable wire the red cable to the battery current.? is there a problem!
- You should have the yellow power wire connected to constant power and the red wired to ACC. You don't and this is why it's bahiving the way it is.

- If it is coming from the box at the street into your circuit breaker panel, I'll take a guess. Earth ground (Usually connected to a copper water pipe or a metal pole driven deep into the ground) Neutral (0V) +120 V (Most household circuits) +220 V (Dryers, stoves, possibly air conditioners and other devices needing lots of power. These have special plugs.) Unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you know what you are doing (and it sounds from your question like you may not be) DO NOT mess around with mains wiring in your house and especially wiring coming into your house, since that isn't even on a surge protector to keep you even remotely safe. If you mess around with this stuff without knowing what you are doing, you could wind up DEAD or in the hospital VERY easily. I can't stress enough how dangerous electricity in large quantities is.
- Q: My home is wired for the thermostats with two wires (red and white). I have acquired a new thermostat that requires a Red, White, and Common wire. Using the white wire in that position will power the unit up but it won't trigger the heat. Is there something that can be put in line that will allow this thermostat to work without rewiring the house?
- T-stat wires are usually left loose in the wall, no staples, so you can easily replace it by pulling a new wire through with the old one. First try to get an idea of where the wire goes. Get an estimate of total length and go to home depot and purchase 18-3 t-stat wire. They sell it in 25 feet, 50 feet, 100 feet, 500 feet, or by the foot. Compare prices and get enough to make a continuous run. Older 2 wire Tstats used a mercury or spring switch to simply connect the two wires together (24v + and sl return). Your new Tstat needs a common because it is being powered by the same feed that activates the unit. (So you have 24+ 24- and sl return) When you attach your new wire to your old wire be sure to actually strip the outer coating of about 4 inches or so and fold the wires around each other to get a good strong bond, and then tape it tight to keep it as small diameter as possible.
