Barbed Wire

Material:Galvanized steel wire, stainless steel wire, PVC coated wire

Types of Barbed Wire:
Galvanized Barbed Wire
Galvanized barbed wire is used in defending of farm land, sport ground, or used together with concertina razor wire. Normally it's settled above the fence, for example chain link fence and welded fence, avoiding climbing across. Galvanized barb wire can also form a barbed wire wall with wooden sticks or iron sticks. The weaving methods are one main wire, one barbed wire; one main wire, twin barbed wire; and twin main wire, twin barbed wire.

PVC Coated Barbed Wire
Core of PVC coated barbed wire can be galvanized iron wire

Q: I removed my range hood (switched off the electricity for it first) and there are three wires coming out of the wall. There's a white insulated, black insulated, and totally not insulated copper wire. What is the non-insulated copper wire? When I flip the electricity on, will it have a charge? It was weirdly wrapped around a screw in the box with the wiring...I'm not sure if it was doing anything. Thanks!
The copper wire is for ground. If there's a short, it is supposed to send the electricity into metal that leads into the soil. When you flip the switch, no charge should be in the copper wire... unless there is a short. Screw the weirdly-wrapped screw into something metal. If you have a metal utility box, screw it onto that, and you're range will be safe if there is a short.
Q: Am I able to do this? The wire burn the clay?
if you're using a clay like the 3 main Sculpeys (original Sculpey, SuperSculpey, and Sculpey III), you will especially want to use wire inside them (or use other kinds of armatures) in any thin or projecting areas since those lines of polymer clay are brittle after curing in those kinds of areas
Q: Me and a buddy took the 305 out of the car. I have a 350 to take its place, but was wondering what are the only wires i need to have a clean engine bay. the old engine has a million wires hooking up to everything. Some muscle cars only have spark plug wires, the starter wire and battery cable. What must i do to get mine like that? i dont care about emissions. what must i change or add to the new engine?
I have an '84 Monte SS and wanted the same thing. Here's what I have: the 2 wires that come from the harness and go to the starter (1 Positive, 1 S terminal), oil gauge wire, temp gauge wire, the alternator wires, the wire going to the distributor cap, and the tach gauge wire going to the distributor cap. That's pretty much it, as well as your battery cables, and spark plug wires. You really don't need to do or add anything as long as it runs and everything works that needs to work, it'll be fine. I'm going by memory, so if I forgot something I apologize, but that's the best of my recollection right now. If you have anymore questions you can email me.
Q: I am replacing an old outlet with a GFCI and I have encountered a red wire...what is the red wire for?
In general, bare copper wires are ground, white are neutral, and black or red are hot. Make sure all wires are completely separate from one another, and then turn the power back on. Be careful not to touch any of the wires. Use your voltage tester to find the incoming hot wire. The wire should be black. The white wire in the same cable will be the neutral. Additional white and black (or red) wires will be extensions of the same circuit test them as well.
Q: I am trying to test a engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT), and in one of the tests it states quot;connect the terminals of the electrical connector with a jumper wirequot;. Where can I find a jumper wire? Does it has to be an specific gauge or any jumper wire? please helpd
Jumper wire is just any piece of wire that allows you to connect two other wires/terminals whatever. You could probably even use a paperclip if it will fit, just have to be careful when jumpering that you don't let the bare material short to ground.
Q: (PRIOR TO READING, I SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT THE IMAGES AS IT WILL MAKE THINGS A WHOLE LOT EASIER TO UNDERSTAND)I purchased 2 neons from Repco. That run off your cigerette lighter with an adaptor. They worked fine, until my friend got in my car, and accidentally dropped something on the adaptor which caused it to malfunction, and bam, my in-car neons (placed up under the dash, near where your feet rest) went out.
wire is wire. If it really is silver then theoretically it should conduct electrcitiy better than copper. But that doesn't really matter much. wire is wire. all it needs to be able to do is carry the electrical current. If wiring truly is your problem, then that will work fine.
Q: pendant wiring hookup. issue: light is always on house wires: red, white, black, ground pendant wires: green, white, black (and a ground wire to the frame) I did connect red to green, white to white, black to black, ground to ground is connecting the red to green the problem causing the light to be always on? do I just disconnect the red to green to fix?
First of all you need to determine where the switch that controls the box on the ceiling is. It sounds to me as though three conductor wire was used in the event that a ceiling fan might be installed at some future date. Turn off the breaker to that circuit first. Make sure it is off with a circuit tester. Remove the plate from the switch location and unscrew and pull out the switch. There will be a pair of wires ( white black and bare ground ) coming in to the box. This is where power is coming from. There will also be a trio of wires ( black, red and white plus bare ground. Which ever wire from the trio is attached to the switch will determine which hot wire to connect to in the ceiling box. You will attach that to the black wire from the fixture, the white to white and the green to bare ground. If there are two switches in the same box on the wall, choose the one closest to the door, determine wire color, cap the other color wire in the ceiling box with a wire nut and some electrical tape around it. Push it up in to the box first before any of the other wires. Then make the other connections, attach the pendant base to the ceiling box and you're done.
Q: I have eight speaker wires, I can figure that out on my own. I also have a red/blue stripe, black/red stripe, black/white stripe, and blue. Which ones are the power wires?
you will need a DVM, to find what is what. Check the fuse box, and make sure the fuse is good, and search for the constant power.Set the meter to 20V. I like to stick the ground on my meter, in the ignition where the key goes. Then find the switched, key on wire. obviously, you'll have to move the ground on the meter for that. Don't forget to solder and use heat shrink tubing, or red and blue butt connectors, and heat shrink, or tape them well. Then set the meter to ohms, or the omega pic on the meter. once you find a resistance for each speaker, pop it with a 9V battery, not a AA, as both terminals are on top. then when you hear which speaker pops, wire it accordingly. Good Luck!
Q: want to get ready to solderis the fuzzy stuff the wire? or the shiny (positive green and negative red color) the wire? sorry i know its a noob questionlet me knowthanks
wire is metal and metal is orange or silver . The fussy stuff is string
Q: for a kids robot kitabout a 4 inch black wire--other side is red...the tip broke off--i tried to strip it---but the rest of the wire is copper colored and thinner--the end had a harder silver tipwhat is a wire like this called--would radio shack have it--i can't seem to find it on their website
perhaps okorder /... Now that you know the name you can search wire terminals and may find a match. Good Luck
