- I have to agree you shouldnt touch this if you dont know what your doing, check everything again, and make sure all cables are in correctly including your ide, or sata cabling. Take out the ram stick and put back as this is usually why nothing shows. Take a look at link for more help and info
- Q: I am doing a test if the power supply.Can you have the computer on and plugged in with PSU out in the open, leave on the carpet ?Can you have the power cable plugged into the psu first and then try to plug in the psu cable into the mother board. - You can but I wouldn't I build PCs all the time in test configurations outside of the case, but I always have everythign on non conductive serfaces, ie wooden tables. Carpet would be a little to staticy for me. Your second scenario leaves two answers for me, both are no, but for different reasons. If I plug a psu into a motherboard with power allready in it, I could short out the motherboard or worse yet shock myself. Also, I don't want to plug a power cable into a psu without any load on the device, doing so can and will fry the psu. depends on the liquid, if it is dionized water, you can turn the pc off dry it out and may be lucky enough not to fry your system. if it is soda,tap water, or salt water of any kind, don't touch it. I don't care if you THINK you are grounded, even if you were, the current would still flow through you, and if you pulled away, out of sudden suprise, then you would get electricuted, not good. Unbluggin the power cord from the powersupply will not be the biggest problem, unless you have very sweaty hands and the air is very dry. Just don't play with electricity

- Everything will be fine to turn the switches back on, but you must unplug the cord you were cutting first. If not, you'll hear another loud pop as the breaker switches off. Unplug the cord, then turn the switches back on. Before you plug the tv in, check the cord going to it for burn or charring. If you do not see any, then stand to the side of the tv away from the screen and back, and then plug it in. Be careful. Unplug the cut cord first!!!

- No, lower wattage PSU (typically less than 400 watts) generally do not ace PCI-E power cables as PSU's with that low a wattage typically aren't used in gaming PCs. The Vostro 260 came with a 300 watt PSU and almost certainly does not have a PCI-E power cable. Contrary to what Peter suggests. That computer does have a PCI-E slot. If you have a the mini-tower case you can fit a full sized discrete video card. If you have the SFF case then you're limited to low profile cards, and the PSU is a non-standard sized 250 watt unit. You're probably going to have to upgrade the PSU if you want to get new video card. Also, at best this computer has a Sandy Bridge i5 CPU, with the Pentium and i3 being more common. If you have the Pentium or i3 CPU, then you're only going to want mid-range or cheaper video card, as anything faster than say a GTX 1050 / GTX 960 or Radeon RX 470 or R9 380 will be bottlenecked by the older CPU.

- Do not buy a generic brand it will damage your laptop over time. Buy the original adapter as it will guarantee the voltage is right for your laptop. I have seen generic adapters ruin laptop motherboards. Do not know what model you have but do simple searches like the link below and you can find them cheap. Good luck.

- It's impossible to tell if it's your PS2 or the cable. Best bet is you buy an original PS2 power cable and try it out. If the PS2 still doesn't power up, it's something wrong with your PS2 and you will have to get it repaired or buy a new one.
- Q: I lost the power cord and I can't seem to find a replacement online. Is there anything I can do to savage this since I do not want to buy a new printer. If it helps, I have an old power cable from a samsung ML 2510, but that printer is deemed useless since it started to smell like smoke.
