Q: Just today, one nearly ate me alive! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!! The vacuums have been specially engineered to kill off a third of the worlds population!!!! AND THEY ARE STARTING WITH ME!!!!
HA HA! Hey, they increase the suction power. Or they might be tryin to kill you...
Q: what would you do if you woke up one day and had vacuum cleaners for legs.?
I would learn how to skate with them, and advertise myself as the Dancing Clean-up Woman.
Q: whats the difference between vacuum cleaners in 1901 and vacuum now?
The motors and there size suction [amount of air moved] the first vac was a hand pump type you pulled up on a handle to get it to suck Electricity was a figment of some ones Imagination then I was born in 1939 and a lot of homes didn'tt have electricity then
Q: Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?
I am really picky about vacuums and their performance(s). If you are purchasing a new vacuum, try a Dyson...I bought one 7 months ago and it is awesome! The cost is comparable to electrolux etal and its' cleaning ability is second to none
Q: Vacuum cleaner or carpet???
Carpet
Q: Is it true that if you accidentally vacuum metal, that can cause a fire?
in a worse case scenario yes - but you'd hear it immediately - it can puncture through the collector bag, and jam in the fan, and cause the motor to heat up and either break, or start a fire if the gears slip. it would make a really loud noise, and most newer hoovers have a safety cut out
Q: is there a way i can get him out or he is pretty much dead? he went up thru the tube extention thingy while i was vacuuming on accident so help me please
it would really depend on what sort of vacuum you have. if he IS alive, the sooner you get him out the better, cause he could very quickly sufficate in all the dust. if he IS dead... well, a lot of vacuum cleaners have little choppy bits to deal with the biggest bits, so... be careful of what you might find. it might not be pretty. i'm assuming you weren't so stupid as to vacuum the floor really close to the snake, right? were you being really lazy and vacuuming out his tank without taking the time to move him out of it first? i've done that with my geckos i moved my geckos though) and the extra crickets are often seen jumping around inside the dust bag, alive and annoyed. so seriously, it depends on your vacuum.
Q: If you have an Oreck vacuum, could you give me some feedback please? My biggest cleaning problem right now is cats. We've gotten rid of all our carpets - vinyl or laminate floors only, which has eliminated all the pet odors. But it is still hard to get rid of all the pet hair (etc) that builds up on all their favorite bedding or couches.I've got my eye on the 1400 Series canister vacuum ($899! What am I thinking??!?!) But if it does what it claims, I think this would be worth it.I appreciate any feedback based on your experience with Oreck products. Thanks!
i wasnt impressed, i just bought a new vac, at walmart, hang on ill get the name Bissle power track, it was less than a hundred dollars, it sucks up the hair from three cats, it has a filter before the motor and a hepa filter on the exhaust, the replacment for both is ten bucks per package, you can wash out the foam filter that catches dust before it goes through the motor , i do that every time i use it, wash the foam filter and dirt cup out, good sized dirt cup , no bags, several height settings, onboard tools, rotating brush on the floor and one on the hose for your upholstry, im sold on it.
Q: Are they worth the money? Do they really clean the air?
I have been in the cleaning business for 20 years and have had some experience with vacuum cleaners. I think you could have an excellent vacuum for around $300-$400. (Panasonic, Sanyo, Sharp) After seeing the Rainbow demonstrated, I just don't think they are worth the money. I also don't get how they clean the air. Basically, they are passing the dirty air over some water (not through it). and call this cleaning the air and filtering out the dirt. Check out some of the above vacuums online and save yourself some Christmas money. I just recently bought a Sanitaire SC6600 for our house and we really like it. Paid Approx. $325.00. It is commercial, 2 motor system, tools and stretch hose on board, carpet or hard floors (your can turn the beater brush off and just have air flow). Hope this helps.
Q: I was wondering how mch Psi/Atm needed for the high and low pressure pool vacuumes such as The Surfer Above Ground Automatic pool cleaner.
You can never have more than 1 atm in a vacuum system. Obviously the more vacuum you generate, the better it will clean. Most vacuum cleaners probably produce between 50-80 inches of water vacuum.
