Q: My neighbor recently told me in secret that he got body lice (crabs) from a one night stand about 3 or so weeks ago at a party. The other night he asked to borrow my vacuum cleaner because he was having guests over and his wasn't working properly. Do you think if I get it back it will bring the crabs over to my house? His house is very messy and very dirty. What should I do? Should I just let him keep it for fear of the little critters moving in on me and my daughter? Q: Everytime I run it, it omits this foul odor?? My dad thinks it's normal, but he's a hillbilly. I KNOW it's not normal. I must know what it is.: Filters can be cleaned in the dish washer on normal cycle top rack only. Sprinkle baking soda on the filters after washing them dry. Stick one or two scented dryer sheets into the vac bag and on the bottom of it too. If you see smoke then the drive belt is going or if it smells like burning rubber then the brush and beat arm belt is going bad or stuck.

Q: I would like to know how exactly was the Vacuum cleaner invented, what is it's main purpose? Are there any unintended sequences from this invention? Q: How electrolux differ from any other vacuum cleaner and what are the unique features?: I have one which is over 30 years old. My particular model is bulky to store but the durability has outlasted my expectations. You can still have parts to replace in this old model (never hear that those parts are discontinued). Only thing I had replaced was the hose and it thoroughly gone through cleaned through the Electrolux dealer. I recently got an upright $150 vacuum for the basement area. This new vacuum don't even come close to get the dirt sucked out of the carpet like the old Electrolux. Guess I will have to carry the old vacuum up down the stairs since I want a good job done.

Q: I want to buy a vacuum cleaner. So I went to OKorder and try to search for good yet cheap vacuum cleaners, and I want to buy this one:: lol yes it still hoovers! instead of going into a bag it goes into a compartment in the hoover, which when full u can take off and empty... then put it back on... works exactly the same as a bag hoover, just more convienient and easier!

Q: The motor turns ok, and my husband couldn't find where the hose was clogged.. we just can't get any suction.It is a Dirt Devil. Upright. Approx 7-8 yrs old.: Vacuum cleaners are simple machines. They only NOT work because the intake line is clogged, the bag is full, the motor doesn't work, or the exhaust vent is clogged. If you can start unhooking hoses and vents, find out what works, then re-attach hoses and vents until something doesn't work. If the motor spins and the bag is replaced, I'll bet you've got a clog in the intake hose. Disconnect it from the rest of the cleaner and jam a garden hose down the length of it. You may dislodge a wad of yuck or a golf ball or sock or something.

Q: How to repair the vacuum cleaner fan?: Unscrew or remove the dust fan from the motor shaft, check and clean the back of the fan

Q: I'm looking for a new canister vacuum but can't get my mind around the BAGLESS Dyson- seems like you still have to be careful about getting dirt and dust back into the air. Please leave your thoughts and feedback on vacuum cleaners and HURRY! I can't wait too much longer to make a decision!Thanks: The great thing about bagless is that you never have to use bags...running out of bags, having to go to the store, added expense. If you decide to get the bag kind, buy a bunch of bags at the same time so you will be able to use it a while before having to go get more. Finding the right bag can be such a hassle. Bagless vacuums work great, and I would suggest emptying them outside to avoid getting dust back in the house. I use the shop vac to clean out the bagless vacuum and filters, then empty the shop vac when it's more full. If you have no shop vac, then tap it out in the garage or outside at the garbage can is my best advice.
