Q: The rug with the rubber backing. If no, why not? I have been told not too but someone said it is no big deal.: Yes, I do it all the time with no problems, NEVER in the dryer though. I just hang it on the shower bar.

Q: Ok i just got new ferrets and every time they go onto my living room rug and then sniff it they start bugging out like they'll keep jumping really high sometimes almost flipping and then start rolling around and its only when they sniff the rug is when they do this and they do it every time. Q: I have a light weight rug on top of a thick wall to wall carpet? I have tried to use padding made for this purpose but it does not work. The rug continues o bunch up and not lay flat.Thanks: I had a rug like this, too..if I left it a week it would move 2 feet sideways. I think it is partly from static between the different materials in the two, and partly the longer tufts of the bottom carpet act as fingers to keep shifting the top one. That sticky rubbery underlay stuff only works on smooth hard floors. I've gone desperate and put long tacks into the corners of the rug, through to the floor. If you use large head ones they are easy to find and pull out sometimes, to vacuum under.

If he wants to clean carpet himself, he should use a mop (yes, a mop) and scrub his carpet with that. I do it monthly because I have a very light carpet + 3 children = a mess. I pretreat the carpet stains with either Shout Out or a stain remover. After that settles, I mop the carpet using elbow grease on the stains (like coffee) and after the floor is finished it looks new.
