- Q:So they put cement/glue so tha thte bracket would stay rightBut would it come off?Because there's cement/glue on one of my teeth that's not for the bracket and I cant seem to get it offSo I was wondering o.o;; when you get chur braces off whadd happens to the glue/cement?
- The orthodontist has special tools that get the glue off.
- Q:We've tried to fill it with some kind of putty-type compound. However, that didn't work. The bowl is a quot;crumblyquot; cement bowl. What's the best thing to use to fix this problem?
- You can either buy an epoxy filler or coat the problem areas with thinset cement with latex additives for flexibility. Hydraulic cement will work very well also but you have to work extremely quickly with it because it sets up right away. They sell the cement in small containers if you don't need too much. All of the products mentioned will be in or near the paint department at Home Depot or Lowe's.
- Q:We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel. We removed the old linoleum floors and there are wood planks that run north to south. Currently, this layer is flush with our living room wood floors. From the basement, you can see that there are boards that run west to east where the kitchen is.My question is, if I remove the wood planks that run north to south, can I put down a layer of cement board and just start tiling over the west to east boards? Will the weight be a structural issue? I would leave the north to south boards, but I'm worried about a tripping hazard being presented when I put down cement board, grout, and 1/2quot; tile (would probably be 1quot; all together). Trying to stay away from ramps, also. Thanks.
- Are you saying there's 2 layers of boards on top of the floor joists? If yes then removing the top layer would be the way to go if the bottom sub-floor layer is strong enough to not be springy under concentrated loads or if you can beef it up by installing bridging underneath between the joists. If the sub-floor is the only layer then you'd not want to remove that since the structural integrity of the house would be affected and the cement board wouldn't be properly supported.
- Q:How can I stop my home entrance stairs from squeeking? It consists of wood rails with cement steps.?
- If the cement was poured over a wooden frame the the wood could be squeaking. First thing to do is isolate what is squeaking, the rail or the stairs. Try standing still and shaking the rail to see if it squeaks, if not you then can figure out what steps cause the squeak. Once isolated you can take a closer look.
- Q:I went to Home Depot and they said there was no such thing, all cement bags have rocks, is this true? If I went to Home Depot to buy a bag, what would it say on the bag?
- Cement Rocks
- Q:if a ball was dropped on cement and an identical ball was dropped on stretchy rubber, which scenario would result in the most force acting on the ball?
- The cement. Here's why.... dP = d(mV) = m dV = F dT; where F = ? is the force in question. Note that F = m dV/dT = mV/dT; where V = sqrt(2gh) is the speed of impact for both objects when dropped from h height. So it comes down to dT, the impact interval. dT is the period it takes for the object to come to rest after impact. When that period is short, dt, the force is F = mV/dt and when it's longer, dT > dt, the force is f = mV/dT. So F/f = mV/dt//mV/dT = dT/dt and, ta da: F = f (dT/dt) the force on cement, where the ball comes to an abrupt stop, is (dT/dt) times greater than on the tarp, where the ball takes a bit longer to stop as it is cushioned by the stretching. - Q:i am looking for a cement supplier to ship cement to my country .truly speaking all factory i contact are sold out .the question is from whom can i buy the cement??There is many website with fake seller supplier , i need a real people who have the cement to sell. can anyone help???
- Look up Portland Cement on the Internet. Ask contractor in your country. If you need over 100000mt you should build your own plant.
- Q:ive just got my braces fitted today, and at the back of my mouth i have some cement to stop me biting hard and breaking my braces. The problem is i find this cement really uncomfortable. will the cement wear down a bit ? or i will i get used to it? please help x
- I know...tell me about it. I hav braces now..and i still remember the day i got them put on. The cement should wear down a bit. My mouth was so sore, so many canker sores, but enough with that. I know that cemement gets REALLY annoying cause i have some on my teeth too, but i don't notice it anymore. but then again that's just me. Everybody is different. I can't say how long it will be until you don't notice it, but i can say that in a while you won't even know it is there. Sometimes i don't even remember that i hav braces on my teeth! Don't worry, you won't notice it in while and just think after they come off you'lll have beautiful teeth! all nice and straight.
- Q:i have about 50 blocks to lay what knid of cement do you use what is the different between cement concretei have reddy mix that i use for making my rocks for my walk way but it has rocks in it i'm buling a 3 sided to put my grabage cans in so they don't have to be pretty i just want to keep the anamile out of the grabage in between there pick up each wk
- id use something called traffic patch, its has fiber and small aggrigate to add for extra strength, you dont want to use just a motar patch, it will crack and break after a period of time, thats just my experience.
- Q:BP is currently pumping great quantities of mud into the rupture in the Gulf and plan to dump cement in when the flow permits. Cement has to dry to be effective? So how does it dry under water and the pressures it will encounter at that depth.
- it doesn't dry; it sets - it's a chemical reaction; not simply evaporating its water content. Setting time depends on the exact chemical mix of the cement - unsurprisingly, fast-drying cement sets very quickly but is usually comparatively brittle, while slower formulations take longer but tend to be stronger. Considerable heat is given off during the setting process and the cement tends to expand, particularly if too much is added at once so that the heat in the middle can't dissipate quickly enough - this is another reason why slow-setting is preferred in many situations. Setting is also speeded up by spraying with water which not only aids the chemical reaction but also helps in cooling. Under the sea the water would actually assist in the setting process. The main problem is that it will be subjected to the pressure of the escaping oil while setting which will reduce its strength - this is probably why they're also pumping mud into the hole - this will partially clog up the hole and reduce the pressure and so give the cement a better chance of working.
