FAQ

1.    For Glazed Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: Ok, the builder and an independent foundation company both say that no foundation damage happened, just some settlement. What should I do with these cracks on tiles and on walls. Would leaving them alone cause any problem? When and how should I fix those?
Cracked tiles, if there are no sharp edges won t cause a problem but should be fixed if you have spare tiles. Wall s you don t describe exactly what type of crack so no one can help there to much.. If its the wall board thats cracked that can be a big job. If its a corner crack there are a couple ways to do this. Tiles ( if you have or can get extra) can be pulled out, the area cleaned and tiles put back in. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL .
Q: What is half tiles
Water absorption is less than 0.5% is called the whole tile is greater than the pottery is half porcelain
Q: Just started tiling my tub surround and I have two very similar layouts graphed up. The actual colors of the tile and listello will be different than the ones shown in the pictures, so don‘t look at the computerized colors since they aren‘t accurate. The layout however, is pretty darn close to what I am planning on doing.
In any tile job, if it doesn't end at a wall you should use a cap tile like in the first picture or a bullnose, whichever fits your particular tile layout. The both have one rounded edge that dies down to the adjoining wall and finishes the job off. If you just leave the tile itself the only option to finish off the tile edge is to lay grout up to it, caulk it, or run some kind of molding up the edge. It costs more to run the cap tile, but in the long run the expense of tiling the wall supports the added expense of cap.
Q: I have asbestos tiles in my basement (of a home I recently purchased). I sent them off to a lab for testing. The lab results came back 4% asbestos. I definitely want to remove the tiles. The majority of the tiles are in good shape. Some of the corners on a few of them are cracking. Right now I am considering the DIY vs. hiring the pros for removalI have been given conflicting advise thus far. Some say do it yourself, there is a very low percentage of asbestos in your tiles -- 4%. Others say Don‘t risk it, pay for the peace of mind. Here are my questions: Is 4% a low percentage for asbestos tiles? Is this low enough to be trivial or of lessor concern when taking on DIY removal? The pros quoted me $1300 for removal and an additional $275 for an air quality test/certification. Is this a fair price for about 500 square feet of tiles? Is air quality testing really necessary given the low percentage of asbestos in my tiles? Or, are they just making money off the fear and hysteria around asbestos?

Q: i know NOTHING about how to do it or what i need. Could someone just list all the tools and equipment i would need to buy or rent to complete this job myself? ie, tiles, tile cutter, ?, ?, ?... etc. thanks.
Tile, tile cutter, tape measure, chalk line, square, marker, measure your kitchen first and times width by length to get square footage so you will know how much tile to buy. Depending on the tile you may want to have someone at the store help decide what would be better in your room. You may need a spreader, tile cement, or mortar mix and grout , grout sealer etc.....
Q: I am looking to either repair my flat tile roof or replace it for a shingle roof.
there are no roofs in florida.
Q: I have tiles around all of my kitchen and would like to cover them. Can I skim plaster over them because it would take weeks to remove them? Is there any other way round avoiding removing them? Any ideas welcome. They are driving me up the wall, literally! HELP.
Hi Neil There is tile paint on the market if it is only the colour you donot like. It maybe possible to fix plaster board over them and then plaster but check with a builder. Sarah Cox
Q: How long are ordinary white strip tiles?
General use of external walls, specifications 5CMx25CM
Q: I would like to install laminated flooring in my kitchen. Two of the wall are tiled. Is it possible to undercut these tiles or is there an easier method to do a neat installation?
DO NOT cut the tile. You will crack, chip and split, and potentially ruin much of the tile work. Then you are stuck with a much larger issue. The solution is simple. Lay the laminate right up to the tile. Use quarter round molding (small). If you use wood, paint it to match the tile, floor, or simply paint it an accent color. The molding can be glued into place, thus relieving you of further issues and making the transition beautiful between floor and wall. Tile may also be glued, or use mastic, to place. Then grout. This is, however, a much more expensive option. But, to prevent a potential disaster, it is worth it. The other, simpler resolution, is to lay the tile right up to the tile and seal between floor and wall with a washable silicon. Write to me if you have any questions.
Q: Can you suggest any methods to clean the floor and wall tiles?
