Performance

the window profiles also known as frames are made of upvc the new age framing material rated far better than wood and aluminium the world over Upvc windows now have all the ingredients needed in window frame .thermal insulation, weather endurance, UV resistance, strength, termite resistance fire Retardant properties, low maintenance, aesthetics and finish are all benefits of upvc windows.Upvc or unplasticised poly vinyl chloride is a product of Natural resources fifty seven percent salt and forty three percent oil. The manufacture of upvc requires minimal use of energy far less than the energy spent on the manufacture of aluminium or steel. Because, of the way these windows are designed and built today all that should filter through is sunlight no dust or Pollution or noise should pass through the upvc window .this window system should be air and watertight if it is installed correctly

Thermal insulation and energy saving

Upvc windows have better thermal insulation properties than aluminium in an air conditioned room a properly designed window made of upvc can actually save thirty percent energy this is the expert view of Professor NK Bansal author of energy efficient windows. Professor Bansal defines an energy efficient window as one that consists of a heat insulating framing material, double glazed and proper sealing between the wall and window.

Sound insulation

Noise pollution is a major urban problem, noise enters your home through cracks in your walls and gaps in your windows but test have shown that noise pollution can be reduced as much as thirty five decibels after installing upvc windows.

Wind load

tall buildings need special windows that can with stand in accordance with British standards upvc windows should withstand 1200 Pascal’s or wind gusts of one hundred and sixty kilometres per hour with negligible deflection

Manufacturing process

The heat transfer coefficient of each specifications are as follows.

Three-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.7W/m2.K、
Four-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.6W/m2.K;
Five-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.5W/m2.K;

During the manufacturing process of the raw materials heat stabilisers are added for material preservation, impact modifiers for toughness, UV stabilizers for resistance against fading and lubricants and oils for better extrusion .the process of manufacturing then continues onto fabrication which is a ten step process of precision engineering. This process includes cutting the frames to length, routing for hinges and locks, reinforcement fitting .this is when the steel reinforcement is installed inside the extruded Upvc frame, fusion welding. This process involves the pre-cut frames with the reinforced steel already installed being placed into a special fusion welding jig, immense heat and pressure welds the corners together, corner cleaning. This process removes the excess welded material known as flash, assembly .rubber seals are added at this point then glazing and then final assembly before packaging. The manufacture of precision engineered upvc windows is only the first step the other is installation

Q:I have a 97 Wrangler soft top - plastic windows. What is the best way or product to use? I can barely see out my windows!
car shampoo is the best to clean your plastic window, because they will keep your plastic window turn brown or spoted (like when u used a detergent soap) for best result do not let your car get exposure by direct hit from the sunlight when washing your car
Q:i bought two white window blinds and then when i got home, i realized the color doesn't go with the color of my wall. black blinds would suit my wall better. so what kind of paint should i buy to color over the plastic surface of the blinds? thank you!
If they're mini-blinds, don't bother trying to paint them. Yes, you can change the colour, by using spray paint that's made for plastics, but by the time you get enough paint on them to do that, you have enough that the blinds won't go up and down very well if at all and it will be hard to change the direction of the vanes. Unless you just want to put them on the window and never open them, paint isn't very successful on blinds.
Q:do plastic windows weigh less then glass in a car
Yes, but you have to use a certified type of plastic. It has to react in a certain way in a collision. It's also thinner and offers less sound insulation. This is why very few road-legal cars have plastic windows, save for stripped out exotic cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Aston Martin V8 Vantage N24, and I believe the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has some plastic windows.
Q:Would a Jeep Wrangler with glass windows be any less noisy than a model with plastic windows?
If you are worried about road noise you should sell your Jeep and buy a Lexus.
Q:This is a tough one, I know. But it is true cause I have read about this several times. My question is how is it done? is it the bark, resin, the wood the needles? I would really like to know how a tree can produce clear plastic paper.
I've been in printing for 20 years. The material that I know that is used in the window of envelopes is either Poly (EZC), Glassine, or Crystal Clear (Cello). This is according to one of the larger envelope makers in the country. I've never heard of Tamarack. Below is what I found about Glassine which is a paper and is what I believe you are talking about. Glassine is generally translucent unless dyes are added to color the paper or make it opaque. It is manufactured by a process called calendering; after pulping and drying, the sheets are pressed through rollers such that the paper fibers flatten out facing in the same direction. In order to maximize the smoothness and thinness of the paper, glassine must go through this process several times, and so is referred to as supercalendered.
Q:I own a 323i bmw convertible. I just replaced the top but the back plastic window is already starting to cloud. I was recommended a wax called ziond or something along those lines. It worked the first time but is now turning the window yellow. I dont wish to replace the window so i was wondering if anyone knew an easier option? such as some home remedy to grease it off. idk ive tried everything!thanks!
it's not too hard. It's the same thing that happens to headlights, condensation gets in and discolors the plastic. Go to your local Advance or NAPA or even sears, just pick up a thing of headlight restorer. All you have to do is rub it on and rub it off five minutes later. It's pretty cheap too, like 12 bucks max. hope this helped
Q:recently the plastic window in the back of my 91 mazda miata convertable top tore and iv been looking for where i can buy just the plastic window but i cant find it i can only find buying a brand new top all together but i know the top is made to be able to replace only the plastic so if you know where i can find these please help
Ebay, Or the dealership. It may need a professional install if it needs tobe sewn in. Try local convertable top shops or a upolstry shop.
Q:for wranglar soft top windows
they do make a spray on tint, but it's mainly for glass. You need to call your local tint shop and ask them what they recommend for Jeep windows EDIT: check on places like JC Whitney or Boss Vann and accessories, I'm sure an aftermarket company makes tinted replacements for a jeep.
Q:What exactly is this clear plastic window called and can I replace it? If so, where would I find the part? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Do I need to replace the entire cluster panel?
Have you called the parts department at your Ford dealer? When I worked at Ford in the 80s I believe you could order them as a separate part.
Q:I have tried the heating up shrink wrap and the double sided sticky tape won't hold on my wall. So I bought a thick layer of plastic and tried to hold it up with tacks and just duct tape around it. The duct tape also comes peeling of my walls. Is there some kind of tape/glue that can hold this plastic up and not peel off my walls?
If the walls are dirty, or painted with flat sheen paint, no tape will stick
