Performance
the window profiles also known as frames are made of upvc the new age framing material rated far better than wood and aluminium the world over Upvc windows now have all the ingredients needed in window frame .thermal insulation, weather endurance, UV resistance, strength, termite resistance fire Retardant properties, low maintenance, aesthetics and finish are all benefits of upvc windows.Upvc or unplasticised poly vinyl chloride is a product of Natural resources fifty seven percent salt and forty three percent oil. The manufacture of upvc requires minimal use of energy far less than the energy spent on the manufacture of aluminium or steel. Because, of the way these windows are designed and built today all that should filter through is sunlight no dust or Pollution or noise should pass through the upvc window .this window system should be air and watertight if it is installed correctly
Thermal insulation and energy saving
Upvc windows have better thermal insulation properties than aluminium in an air conditioned room a properly designed window made of upvc can actually save thirty percent energy this is the expert view of Professor NK Bansal author of energy efficient windows. Professor Bansal defines an energy efficient window as one that consists of a heat insulating framing material, double glazed and proper sealing between the wall and window.
Sound insulation
Noise pollution is a major urban problem, noise enters your home through cracks in your walls and gaps in your windows but test have shown that noise pollution can be reduced as much as thirty five decibels after installing upvc windows.
Wind load
tall buildings need special windows that can with stand in accordance with British standards upvc windows should withstand 1200 Pascal’s or wind gusts of one hundred and sixty kilometres per hour with negligible deflection
Manufacturing process
The heat transfer coefficient of each specifications are as follows.
Three-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.7W/m2.K、
Four-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.6W/m2.K;
Five-cavity Casement Window Frame Uf =1.5W/m2.K;
During the manufacturing process of the raw materials heat stabilisers are added for material preservation, impact modifiers for toughness, UV stabilizers for resistance against fading and lubricants and oils for better extrusion .the process of manufacturing then continues onto fabrication which is a ten step process of precision engineering. This process includes cutting the frames to length, routing for hinges and locks, reinforcement fitting .this is when the steel reinforcement is installed inside the extruded Upvc frame, fusion welding. This process involves the pre-cut frames with the reinforced steel already installed being placed into a special fusion welding jig, immense heat and pressure welds the corners together, corner cleaning. This process removes the excess welded material known as flash, assembly .rubber seals are added at this point then glazing and then final assembly before packaging. The manufacture of precision engineered upvc windows is only the first step the other is installation
Installation
Eighty five percent of all window related problems spring from poor installation. Trained installation teams install the windows by firstly cleaning the window opening ,mounting the frames into the window apature,installing the hardware ,check horizontal alignment, drill precisely through the frame into the wall at the bottom of the window and insert fastenings to retain the window in the opening, check vertical alignment, secure the top of the frame with the same process, clean the frame and remove any dust, fill with sealant across all four sides, install glazing and test by opening and closing.
Our Upvc windows can complete the look of your home with a range of colour options and designs. Upvc windows are and will be the dominating force in the window Supply marketplace.

- Q: is there any way to clean the faded plastic door windows on my canvas doors? we really cant afford new doors right now at 400 a whack,there faded by the sun bad.thanks
- 3M makes a plastic polish. It will help a bit
- Q: i used to have wooden windows but now i have plastic windows and im just wondering if the air conditioners would still work on plastic windows since you cant drill holes into them.
- You'll just need to find another way to mount the AC, like attaching a bracket to the wall instead of the window frame. Make sure you screw into the studs and not just the sheetrock.
- Q: A lot of the mail I get has a plastic window where the recipient's address is shown underneath. Up to this point, I have been tearing out the plastic and throwing just the paper part of the envelope in the recycle. Is that neccessary? To what extent do recycling plants filter what's coming in?
- The Consumer Recycling Guide gives the following guidelines for mixed paper but it would be a good idea to check with your district council guidelines before recycling anything. Mixed paper is a catch-all for types of paper not specifically mentioned above. Everything you can imagine from magazines to packaging is acceptable. The paper must still be clean, dry, and free of food, most plastic, wax, and other contamination. Staples are OK. Remove plastic wrap, stickers, product samples, and those pointless membership cards, and most junk mail can be recycled as mixed paper. Due to new technology, plastic window envelopes and staples are generally OK.
- Q: I have a '97 Wrangler w/ soft top, the windows are scratched from tree limbs and I would like to take them out. Any suggestions, or tips?
- The best thing to do is go to a marine supply store they have special products to clean and take the haze off plastic windows which are used on boat side curtains. Provided your windows are soft plastic.
- Q: I have yucky shades on my windows dead bugs all around my windows. They are old windows so I bought an insulation kit to do the windows. It says I will need to blow dry.What if I don't want to touch the disgusting shades my landlord said be would replace when I moved in ? I am kind of stuck living here so until I can find a place a roommate, I want to seal the windows. shades completely. They have poor insulation a handful bugs come in every hour.Do you think the plastic will work without shrinking it with a blowdryer? There are slice webs around my window so I am disgusted.
- I'm guessing your insulation kit is the type with double sided tape for the window facings. You don't have to use a blow dryer; that's only if you want the plastic real smooth and tight and looks good. The plastic should keep the pests out but you could bug spray first and then install the plastic.
- Q: I have a window that is bigger than the largest piece of plastic i have, is there a way to use 2 pieces like tape them together or something?
- Have you looked in home improvement stores for big, wide, heavy duty (thick) pieces of plastic? {usually comes off of a roll) It may be big enough, and being heavier, it will do a better job of preventing heat loss.
- Q: So there I was today sorting and paying my bills, throwing away all those ads and credit offers (yes I shred the stuff that could get me in trouble) and I end up with a large amount of those envelopes with plastic windows in them. Some of the mail have two, one that I open and one I'm supposed to send something to the company. Fat chance for them, I pay my bills on the internet and can't afford to get books and magazines through the mail. That's what libraries are for. I used to rip out the little windows and recycle but now they are glued in so tight they seem fused. So what do you say?a. toss themb. recycle with windowsc. The reclying companies love those little windows they give body to recycled cardboard and toilet paper !
- You should double check with your local department of public works, but generally speaking the windows are not recyclable. You can cut off the plastic window part and recycle the rest of the envelope. Don't recycle the plastic. Some recyclers may throw a out the whole batch if its contaminated.
- Q: I am talking about the stuff you tape to the inside of your home windows and use a hair dryer to stretch it tight. It is supposed to keep single pane windows better at keeping in the heat. I live where it gets 30 degrees at night and 40-50 during the day in winter. Does anyone have experience with these products? Which type works best? Mainly, does it really keep heat in? OR does it keep sunlight heat out and balance out to zero help?
- Yes it can make a HUGE difference. In college, I lived in an old drafty house with 6 other friends. Our heating bills were astronomical and you could literally feel the wind blowing through the windows! We shrink-wrapped the windows and immediately noticed a change in the temperature in the rooms. Our heating bills dropped by 30% over one month. Windows typically account for 10-20% of the heat loss in a house. Even if you have double-pane windows, they still get cold, leeching heat out of your room. The plastic sheeting will help by creating a partial vacuum between the window and the plastic which acts as an insulator (this is the same principle those old metal glass thermos bottles use.) This helps keep the heat in, and the cold out. Sunlight still passes through, but not the heat from the sun. That's mostly blocked by the vacuum between the plastic and the window. Double pane windows do most the same thing - only the space between the panes is filled with Argon gas, which is a poor conductor of heat and cold. The only downside is that the sticky tape these kits use may damage paint when removed - assuming you can remove the tape at all. You'll also need to purchase a new sheets for each window each year. Other alternatives include making sure there are no holes or cracks around your window frames. Use a caulk gun to fix these problems, just don't caulk the windows shut! :-) Caulk guns are cheap, and you don't need an expensive tube of caulk - even the $0.99 tubes of painter's caulk will do the job. (it also work wonders against keeping bugs out of your house, but that's for another time.) Covering the windows with heavy drapes will also help, but isn't as effective as the plastic sheeting. However, every little bit can help. Drapes also help in the summer by helping keep heat out of your house.
- Q: well i have a 1992 alfa romeo spider and some idiots sliced the back of the convertible on my plastic window. i was wondering how much it would cost if i send it to a shop and they sew off the old plastic window and sew back on a new plastic window
- they can do it --they have to remove the top-remove the stitching from old window and remove window-sew in window- replace top on car--this is NOT cheap but still cheaper than new top=--look for about 400 buck charge--shop all the auto upholstery shops in your area first--talk to your friends -talk to people in auto industry that have used any shops--you are naturally looking for someone that can do the job and do it efficiently and correctly- and at the lowest price==most shops operate on the cheap,good,fast idea--you can have any 2 of these statements--cheap and good not fast--you get the idea
- Q: I have a 1994 convertible with a plastic rear window, and it has 13 years of dirtiness on that thing. There is a bunch of ugly what I presume are scratches all across teh middle (probably from the folding process).Also, there are little almost transparent white circles (you have to see them from an angle though)... that are also really annoying.Can you identify what those circles are??I've tried meguire's plastx polish...and even some white vinegar distilled in water.Currently, im looking for a more aggressive product.
- when mine did that i spent a year and a lot of cash tryin to fix it in the end i realized i should of just replaced it to begin with. If you decide to replace it, you might have to do the whole top, but its worth it. Just make sure that when you do replace it to look for a company that makes one with a GLASS rear window. You be glad you did. I am.
