- Q:My mom used to make banana pudding I've lost the recipe..I know it's milk, eggs, sugar vanilla, but that's all.thanksx
- She probably just made a cooked vanilla pudding or custard. Search and find a recipe that uses cornstarch or flour as the thickener, depending upon what you have on hand. If you have both, I prefer using cornstarch. Don't forget to keep it stirred so it doesn't stick to the bottom or edges of the pan. Cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap down on the surface when cooling to prevent it from forming a crust! From my old Better Homes Gardens Cookbook: Blancemange or Cornstarch Pudding 3 Tbs. cornstarch 1/3 cup sugar Dash salt 1/2 cup cold milk 1 1/2 cups milk, scalded 1 tsp. vanilla Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; combine with cold milk. Gradually add scalded milk. Cook in double boiler, stirring until thick; cover; cook 15 to 20 minutes. Add vanilla. If pudding isn't to be molded, increase milk to 2 1/2 cups. The same amount of arrowroot or 6 tablespoons flour may be substituted for the cornstarch.
- Q:I just got a job at The Home Depot as garden center sales associate. What're some things I'll need to learn for the job? Such as skills and knowledge of things there?
- Home Depot Garden Center
- Q:I'm thinking about planting something in my gardening and my friends tell me that pH is important factor to consider when I'm trying to decide what to plant. What's so important about pH?
- Buy a cheap ph tester and see what the natural ph is in your soil. Depending on what you'd like to grow, you can adjust your ph to suit your need by adding fertilizer. Most garden soil is fairly alkaline, so you shouldn't have to make any adjustments to grow things like Broccoli, cabbage, okra (easy to grow!) cucumber, and squash. On the other hand, you will probably need to make careful adjustments to grow acid loving foods and plants. Radishes, Swede, roses, rhubarb, and berries will fall into this category. Good luck, and enjoy!
- Q:Would you rather live in your home, or garden?
- I live in my home, but it isn't a home without the garden
- Q:home of the famous English gardens , term used in England for waiting line , signal
- Kew Gardens Queue cue
- Q:expiration of packaged zinnea seeds
- AT some point, yes, seeds stop becoming as viable. This can vary from plant species to plant species. You will know if they are no longer good becasue they won't sprout. If they are wildflowers, then planting them usually just involves scattering the seeds in a nice location. I would go ahead and try to grow them. You never know, there still may be some viable seeds in there.
- Q:Hey folks, recently I've had a very strong urge to start a small home garden filled with herbs beneficial to my health when smoked out of a vaporizer. I was wondering which herbs are easy to grow and which would be helpful for stress, or with relaxing or sedative properties
- There are many, see the vaporbrothers website, and google for it. Damiana, some sages, and others. I don't have my list in front of me right now. A lot of calming teas can be vaporized, but be careful with your garden, go organic and no pesticides.
- Q:Or you don't have enough time in ur busy lifestyle.
- I okorder . I went and check myself and it's amazing how people did their gardens. Have fun gardening!!!! Believe me you will now.
- Q:.Sorry, but I cannot remember the exact name of this software program, but is by Broderbund, and it is a 3D program that lets you decorate and remodel your house. My question is =has anyone used this program, and do you like it, is it easy to use, worth the cost, etc, and if not= what program would you suggest?
- Broderbund does make a good home builder product, but I have not used theirs for quite some time. Right now I am using a Better Homes and Garden's version that allows you to input pictures as well as estimates the cost of the materials to build the house. I believe it is Home Designer Suite 6.0
- Q:I'm moving into my first home ever in March. I'm trying to avoid department stores, since they tend to be WAY out of my price range. I would love new furniture, but I can find any that's not extremely expensive. So I searched Craigslist , etc. and had no luck. I need a couch to start off, and a dining table.
- www.okorder / has a great selection of furniture to suit all tastes and budgets. Happy Shopping!
