Q: or ideas on building a dome home with indoor vegetable and friut garden
There are many ways to make your home earth friendly. Recycling, composting, container gardening, solarizing your home.
Q: Bought a mirror at wal mart. and now stumped in how to hang it. its a better homes and gardens full length?its a better homes and gardens full length mirror and comes with quot;easy to install hardware.quot; the hardware are two little triangle things hinged onto a square shaped part with a hole on the end. does that make sense?
The little brackets are screwed or nailed to the wall. The mirror rests on the house shape with the roof shape hooking the mirror. These are called mirror mount clips. You really need 4 of them. 2on the bottom and 2 o0n the top. Set the bottom clips first to get the wanted height. Position the top clips after the mirror is in place to get the correct spacing.
Q: Is gardening becoming more popular or less?

Q: Has anyone used rock dust in gardens? Are vegetables better? Fruit trees? and how much did you use? I want to?
Not sure what you're up to here. Rock dust can be beneficial for walkways and as a substrate for paving stones.. If you're using it as a soil conditioner, be sure that you need what it will provide. Lime is actually ground up limestone (calcium carbonate) and it will help to adjust soil pH (acidity/alkalinity). If you have acid soil, it can help buffer soil pH upward, making soils more productive.. but be careful. plants like a particular range for pH- normally between 5.7 and 6.5. If you apply too much lime, you can damage the plants' ability to uptake nutrients.. and have stunted plants. Further, if your soil is lacking calcium, lime can be applied. This can happen with some sandy soils. Check with your county extension agent to see if soils in your area need lime. Diatomaceous earth can be used as a natural deterrent to certain insects.. it appears to be a rock dust. so I dunno- would you want to use it if you don't know what it's going to do for you? I'd think probably not.
Q: I am beginning my own business and need a good company name. I am selling a vast variety of products such as candles like jar candles, home baked candles, table top tree tea light candles, lanterns with candles, etc., home decor such as wall candles and their fixtures, lawn and garden decor such as wind chimes, fountains, small statues, and swing sets, all different styles of jewelry, some bath and body items such as hand soaps and body lotions, and other small home and office decor. So I am looking for suggestions for a good company name so I can place them on business cards.
How about these names: Everyone's Treasure , Not Just Stuff or the name of the antique store on the TV show Ghost Whisper Same As it Never Was.
Q: Please help me---one got in and with the help of neighbors we got it out--it was a black racer---over 4 ft long
Snakes are good for the garden and they won't hurt you.
Q: What is the theme for the short story The Parsley's Garden?
My mom never told me about Kabuliwala but after I read it myself later in life, I have told the story to my children. But most of the stories my mom told me were really short and always had a morale. One such story is one about these birds which had huge holes on their heads. They would get water to drink only when it rains cos then the hole would get filled up and they quench their thirst. This story would come up when we would fight for the water at the dining table or when we refuse to fetch water for someone to drink!!! Mom said if you don't give someone water to drink you become one of those birds!!!! Mom was too good with her stories. All these have instilled many values in me. Apart from these, all those Aesop's tales and fairy tales have definitely remained etched in my mind after all these years.
Q: I am starting up a home garden and was wondering if anyone has experience and what are the best fertilizers to buy at the garden center. Is liquid better than granular? What brands are the best? Any advice would help.
With Ideas 4 Landscaping guidebook you will not only get the landscape that you want but also let you to devote high quality time with your family members because absolutely everyone will grew to become concerned with your landscape task If you want an outside area functional and lovely, but you do not have reserved a spending budget for a professional landscaping then this guidebook will be your best friend.
Q: is a home garden picked pumpkin, cooked then turned into pumpkin soup a good source of protein? if so, id like to know how much! ty :)
Depends on what sort of protein you need. Vegetable sources of proteins are more limited than animal sources, and of those, beans and other legumes are the best source. Most gourds are not particularly good protein sources, more so for fiber, trace minerals and water-soluble vitamins such as C, B-series, E and A amongst others. And other than for flavor and (perhaps) fewer chemicals, garden vs. commercially grown pumpkins are virtually indistinguishable in nutrition content. One cup of whole pumpkin (a bit more than 8 ounces) will give you 9% of your protein requirements, you would need 11 cups and still be low in some of the essential amino acids. Pumpkin is below 2% protein. Some cheeses are over 50%. Some meats over 40%. Some beans and other vegetable sources will also meet or exceed those numbers - however it is harder (but not impossible) to get all the essential amino acids from vegetable sources alone.
