Q: what is the best bug repellant that I can make at home to spray on my vegetable garden to keep bugs away from around and on my plants chewing them?: Use about 2 quarts of water, a cup of white vinegar, about 2 to 3 tablespoons of Dawn dish liquid or it's equivalent, and a tablespoon or two of cayenne pepper. Mix all of this together in your garden sprayer and apply it to the leaves. This always works well for my garden. You can vary the ingredients to your satisfaction but don't burn your plants with too much cayenne. Good Luck!

Q: I've heard moles come to get grubs, should I try to kill the grubs or is there a way to just stop the moles from getting into my garden?: there are traps to humanely capture the moles, but moles are a useless animal -- sorry, but I'm not a big fan of them. Mole pellets work best, and they're available in most home and garden centers for a few bucks. Sprinkle a few in all the mole runs or gopher holes and you'll find them dead in a couple days. DO NOT use this stuff if you have little kids running around (especially those that would pick up and eat things that look like rabbit turds). By far, the best thing to control grubs is Milky Spore. It's a biological control (hopefully that makes up for my previous kill all moles answer) that will kill grubs for 10-15 years. Again, you can find it in Home Depot or Lowes, but look for it online if you're covering 10,000 sq. ft. or more.

Q: I bought a Comfort Dreams 10-inch Memory Foam mattress (twin XL size) a few days ago, but... It's REALLY hard. Q: When using Treflan TR 10 as a pre-emergent weed control in a vegetable garden, does the pre -emergent function not also stop your vegetable seeds from germinating?: I have never used this product but any of this type I have used would do the same thing to any seed ,either weeds or those planted. You might be able to scrape enough off the rows to get by but then weeds could also start. If you plant sets you shouldn't have this trouble.

Q: What should I grow in my vegtable garden first this year?: Any and every seed you can get a hold of for you do not know what grows best in your dirt.

Q: the recipie i'm looking for, i believe, includes sweet n condensed milk.: I think you make cajeta by placing a closed can of sweetened condensed milk in a pan with water and then in the oven for a few hours. I have tons of BHG annual cookbooks. I could look it up and email it to you later. Do you know what year the recipe came out?
