- Q: even quot;challenging onesquot; and probably won't get one answer bashing me or what my beliefs are on my home or my gardening? But i come here on RS and can get bashed from all sides with even the most neutral questions and suggestions! Why oh why people is that the way it is here? REALLY!? This imo should be the place where the least bit of that is found, right.? Anyone with me? I think we should challenge ourselves in the interest of, whatever you wanna call it, and see how many answers we can give without attacking the persons Character or Answer in anyway. Can it be done? Surely! Will we do it? NOPE! Why not?
- dude, you can ask questions there ALL DAY?! i'm a level 3, and i get cut off after 15 questions! maybe your day is just shorter (or you take longer to type). but seriously, HOW you say something is EXTREMELY important when you are dealing with sensitive idiots, like the ones trolling RS... you say ONE word the wrong way, and people will pounce all over you like you are saying THEY are wrong. you must use phrases like this is just what I believe, your mileage may vary and such. then again, you wanted opinions, or else you wouldn't be here, correct?
- Q: do you have a seven dust garden use only
- Sevin (carbaryl) is sold as a liquid and a dust altho the dust may be harder to find since it requires special equipment (duster) to apply. The dust may be sold in a small 'shaker' container which would not need a duster to apply. It's one of the 'safest' to handle insecticides for home-garden use; however...be aware it kills the good along with the bad bugs.
- Q: Hi,I saw a tv show that had a segment featuring a website that allows allows trades people to bid on jobs that needs to be done around the house through an auction. eg gardening, building a fence etc. Does anyone know what this website is? This is a question of the Australia based community.THANKS!!!!
- Look for what are called CO-Ops....
- Q: Where can I get a 20% off coupon for Home Depot for free? Why are they so hard to find?
- goto the service desk and tell them you want to buy something, but only if you get 20% off the price
- Q: We just bought our first home and there is a large garden in the front yard that was started but never finished. It has decrative stones and it's freshly mulched, but nothing has been planted. Now what? Any suggestions? It's partly shaded, partly sunny. I would like to fill it with something pretty, but most of all EASY! I've never gardened before - HELP!
- We do not know where you live, so it's almost impossible to give any hints. My best suggestion would be for you to go to your local nursery and ask. They will usually give you great ideas if you buy your plant material there. By the way, there is no maintenance free garden.
- Q: My mom used to make banana pudding I've lost the recipe..I know it's milk, eggs, sugar vanilla, but that's all.thanksx
- She probably just made a cooked vanilla pudding or custard. Search and find a recipe that uses cornstarch or flour as the thickener, depending upon what you have on hand. If you have both, I prefer using cornstarch. Don't forget to keep it stirred so it doesn't stick to the bottom or edges of the pan. Cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap down on the surface when cooling to prevent it from forming a crust! From my old Better Homes Gardens Cookbook: Blancemange or Cornstarch Pudding 3 Tbs. cornstarch 1/3 cup sugar Dash salt 1/2 cup cold milk 1 1/2 cups milk, scalded 1 tsp. vanilla Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; combine with cold milk. Gradually add scalded milk. Cook in double boiler, stirring until thick; cover; cook 15 to 20 minutes. Add vanilla. If pudding isn't to be molded, increase milk to 2 1/2 cups. The same amount of arrowroot or 6 tablespoons flour may be substituted for the cornstarch.
- Q: I am babysitting two children this summer, ages 3 and 6. I don't have transportation available to me, and their home is not within walking distance of anything. In brainstorming ideas of what to do, I thought of doing a garden with them. However, their parents rent a home and don't have a very large yard, so we can't have one in the ground. What are some plants that can handle living and producing in pots?I want to do veggies or flowers that can be cut- things that they can take pride in having grown.Help????? My thumb is more black than green...
- Getting the land surveyed may be a thank you to define out. yet he sounds like a whackjob. the subsequent question is - do you somewhat desire to amplify the situation for a measley 3 inches of land? Is that land somewhat what's important to you? Or are you purely attempting to truly make him pass ballistic? i might do my superb to ignore approximately him, and not ramp up the situation into an all out conflict. If he's loopy adequate to tell you which you won't be in a position to touch the wall, and he's wiping fowl droppings off with a tissue...in case you stress him to get rid of the fence, he sound like the style might might placed out poisoned seed for the birds just to spite you, or pour gas on your prominent flowers at evening.
- Q: suggested category...Home and Garden....pffff!
- feng shui
- Q: I am designer and wondered how many people have heard of it, bought from it, or sold it.
- Yes, I've bought from Home and Garden Party. I don't know what info you are looking for. They have a wide variety of decorating items and candles. I liked what I bought and most people I know that purchased things from there were satisfied. The items are decent enough and moderately priced. They will also do fundraisers. Hope this helped answer what you wanted to know.
- Q: I have seen these plastic grow bags online. I was wondering if Home Depot, Menards, Farm and Fleet or some store like that would sell them? I don't have any special gardening stores by me but was wondering if anyone knew if a normal chain store or wallmart or something might sell them?
- I have not seen them at these stores. I just ordered one.
