Q: I currently get Better Homes and Gardens and Ladies Home Journal. I like recipes and articles on decorating. Any other good magazines?
Real Simple - it's a very good magazine and beautifully put together. It's easy to look through and there are tons of great ideas for decorating, cooking, health, and just everyday life.

Q: Give me names of magazines like for home interior, home lifestyle, etc...?
Better Homes and Gardens, Traditional Home, Family Circle.
Q: panelling beadboard wainscot and raised panel ideas for your home?
Somehow, you've wandered into the wrong forum! This is the home theater electronics forum, where the discussions are centered around home theater system and TV operational and electronics problems. I think you want one of the sub-forums under Home Garden, like DYI or decorating and remodeling.
Q: so i went and bought a bunch of veggie seeds. i understand that i need to let them root before i put them in ground. i live in texas, and we have heat well into the fall. is it too late for me to start, or do i need to wait until next year??? any gardening advice will be super appreciated!!!!! this is my first time trying to garden, and i want to do it right! please, any and all advice will be taken :)
It depends on what you're growing, but overall the answer would be no, it's definitely not too late to start a garden in TX! I can't promise you'll have a lot of harvest time from tomatoes and peppers (they have a very long time till harvest compared to most vegetables), but it's worth trying if you already have the seeds. Usually you would start those in-doors 6-8 weeks before your frost free date, and transplant them afterward. For other plants, such as beans, peas, and squash, planting them in the ground right now is the way to go. Yet other veggies, such as spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuces, are called cold-weather crops, and it's probably too late for you to start any. Usually those go in the ground as soon as you can work it (as soon as it's not frozen), but you can also start some in the fall and keep planting until it's so cold they stop coming up! Anyway it's hard to really give any advice without knowing what you're trying to grow and how much space you have, etc., but I would highly recommend All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholemew - it's the easiest and best way to get a handle on home gardening and be successful from the very beginning.

Q: i am moving, i am looking to rent a condo - most of the condos i like are 1200 a month, but i am only looking to spend 1000 ... can i place an offer to the buyer for 1000? or does it not work that way when renting?
ABSOLUTELY!!! Everything in life is negotiable, except death. Even taxes are negotiable!! Make your offer, make it contingent on no more then 10% increase in the lease terms and that the lease is renewable as long as you want it to be. In today's economy, any landlord would be foolish to refuse your offer. In all likelihood, the landlord is making sufficient income to pay his mortgage and have a tidy sum left over. One thing I suggest -- don't make unnecessary calls for maintenance. Do the small repairs yourself; if necessary, paint the insides yourself -- it only takes a couple of gallons of paint ($6 gallon at Walmart) and a little effort. Water leaks are usually as simple as a rubber washer and/or a little caulking. Get a good Better Homes Gardens Do It Yourself repair manual and do the repairs yourself. You'll lean a lot about keeping up your future self-owned home. If you don't call him for every little thing, you can negotiate, securely, the next year's rental. You are no trouble, so you shouldn't have to pay extra!!! What better negotiation issue can you have -- I didn't cost you anything, so why do you have to increase cost? Good luck! you sound like a sensible person!!!
Q: I am wondering what the best program is for making floor plans of homes and creating a blueprint layout? I have autocad already but I am wondering if there is any software out there that has better features than autocad and is designed specifically for floor plans of homes
Better Homes and Gardens by Chief Architect is the best I have ever seen. Below is an amazon link but you might also want to look up Chief Architect for an even more comprehensive version.
Q: Hi, i have a 17 week old labrador. he has made incredibly progress in the 7 weeks that we have had him but there is a problem with him. he will listen perfectly to commands like come and sit indoor or in the garden but as soon as there are no walls around him he looses it. even if he is on the leash he will simply not listen when he is called, told to stop biting things ect.is it because he is still young and the bigger world is far more interesting for him and he will get better as he gets older or am i doing something wrong? thanks.
no he just probaly needs more time keep practicing puppys cant get it on the first time but e also probaly wants to explore he will learn as he gets older just be patiant with him
Q: I am in college, but I want to start a garden just in case a plague hits. I don't have any physical area (like land) to keep my vegetables. What would be a good place? Maybe large or small pots, or wheel barrel. I also need it to be mobile. Also, can anyone give me the best survivalist websites?
You need a lot of room to grow enough to sustain yourself try Hydroponics, its the only way to grow in a small confined area a lot of pots in an enclosed area is asking for dampness humidity problems and if the dirt is not clean, welcome to gnat city hydroponics can be set up to grow vine type plants that hang from a string to get more yield, but IMHO you wasting your time unless you have a good sized room supplemented with light from outside, if you want to use pots use vermiculite/perlite mixture and powered all purpose hydroponic nutrients you will have to learn how to adjust the PH information is readily available on line on how to do this and what to use as far as being mobile, that is something I would be wanting to see myself hydroponics can be set up and broken down very easy given the right system.
