Q: the space available is about 3x1.5 ft.i prefer nice flower plantslive in chennai, indiaany suggstions??
The first answer was absolutely right on - BUT have you considered xeroscaping? (using native plants to conserve water) Use nice (big and smaller) rocks and various sizes of flowering plants, make a small hill and use small rocks to create a dry stream bed, plant only perrennials so you don;'t have to keep replanting every year. Use annuals sparingly just for color. And to see what grows really well, look at your neighbors' yards - what are they growing and how do they look? Happy Gardening!
Q: Hello, My fiance and I are looking for a secluded and/ or garden venue for our wedding next year. It is set to be on a SUNDAY evening Between the weeks of April 16th and May 16th. Sundays are usually offered at a cheaper price. I am looking for a Ceremony and Reception area for $1,000 or less. If you know of one that is a ceremony of reception only, please let me know. It needs to be located in the Central Florida. Or no more than 45 min. from Orlando! =) Thanks so much!!
check out Descanso Gardens in la Canada/Flitridge. an exceptionally advantageous region and that they have small to vast ceremony places. They close early so a prior due afternoon wedding ceremony would be next to private. unfastened parking too!
Q: I stopped to listen to a garden speaker at our County Fair last week. I was late didn't hear all he had to say, but he brought up the gardener's quot;Biblequot; several times. I over heard someone at the nursery say something about it too, more then once, but never paid attention before. All I know is it is suspost to be the best book on gardening. A must have for every serious gardener. I've checked at several book stores without luck. My neighbor told me that is not the right name, only the name everyone refers to it. But she didn't know the real name either. Does any one know the real name? I have got to have one. Thank You!
THE MASTER GARDENER BIBLE was at one time SUNSET WESTERN GARDEN BOOK. We carried one with us at all times. But times change the MASTER GARDENERS have written a NEW TESTAMENT of their own. I wouldn't say it is a replacement to the Sunset book any more them The New Testament of the Bible replaces the Old Testament. But THE MASTER GARDENER HAND BOOK was writen by MASTER GARDENERS for MASTER GARDENERS with input from all the top plant experts from the Univ system, State County Ag experts. It's more of a hands on, how to book. Where Sunset highlights plants to I.D., the MASTER GARDENER HAND BOOK assumes you have made your plant choices takes it from there. Pound for pound, I'd say the Master Gardeners book weights more. Covers in detail the stuff Sunset just touched on. I think they belong together just like the Old New Testament of the Bible. You just can't have one without the other. The Master Gardener book covers it all in detail, soil conditions, IPM in detail etc. Anything that could mess up a gardeners' day in the garden, the Master Gardeners' book has it covered. Problem being you won't find it in your local book store. It's a univ publication in univ books stores or by order from your local coop extension or Master Gardener sight. If both were put infront of a gardener could only have one, it would be a tuffy. But for more hands on what to do and why, i'd have to choose the book writen by the Master Gardeners.
Q: home and garden supply
You can go to HOME DEPOT and they DELIVER to YOU! OR you can RENT a vechile. Good luck!
Q: I am looking for a site that allows you to input your homes dimensions and colors, then helps to plot a landscape for your home.
Better Homes and Gardens web site has a plan a garden and landscape plan design feature. You have to register - but it is free and will help you pick plants according to your climate zone. There are a few others - but I have had good luck with this site. I am a Master Gardener with Purdue and an Indiana Master Naturalist have used this site to help many people. Best of Luck!!
Q: HeyI have very nice home decor products(pottery, vases, fountains etc.) importing directly from Thailand.Basically my friend owns a little factory.I'd like to know more about home and garden shows in California(or Nevada),just to have a better opportunity to spread my products across the country.Everything's very beautiful and unique(handmade).I'd really appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.
I don't know about California or Nevada, but here in Washington, you have to buy a space at a HG show. Depending on the size of the show, this cost can get fairly expensive. You want to go to one that is sizable enough to get good exposure, but not so large as to bankrupt you before you even get started. Also, HG shows tend to run about 6 months off, meaning they have things in the fall for the peak season in the spring and summer. You could try gift shows too. If it is a retail show (open to the public) make sure to give yourself a couple of months head start. The shows probably have a cut off date for new vendors, sometimes up to 6 months. The Christmas season will be here very soon, so if you were planning on doing a Holiday show, you may already be too late, but check anyway. If you are, try for spring shows. Once you get into one, make sure you have plenty of business cards or brochures to hand out. A website would be beneficial to both you and the customer. You could show more product in different settings and they have the chance to think about it and have another look. Good luck!
Q: Im ordering a Dining Set for my backyard, it is $500 and only coupon i found is $5.00 off..anyone help thank you :)

Q: I just bought a new house and I would like to plant pretty flowers. But I'm not really outdoors person so i would like something easy and pretty. I thought about Liliac but i dont know how easy it woudl be to buy and plant and grow. Also i dont want to go to Home depot and look stupid talking to the garden people about flowers...so simple please... Thanks so much. The last home owners has tulips about to bloom can i plant near them or do they need space.
When I was little my dad got me to plant Cosmos - in some countries it is considered a weed because it grows so easily, but they grow quickly, need minimal attention and have pretty flowers ranging from white to purple (and sometimes even red, but those are very rare).
Q: I locked this girl called Chloe INSIDE the garden! HELPPPP!!?So it's half term here in England but I went to school today cos I had to go to revision class to revise for maths and this girl I hate soooo much called Jessie was there. Q: What should I grow in my vegtable garden first this year?
Just experiment with a variety of veggies (preferably one that you like to eat). Tomatos, summer squash, peppers, carrots, radishes are all easy crops. Check out mywebsite for more ideas and tips: backyardfarm101.blogspot.ca/
