- Q: Hours later you find a piece of dirty toilet paper in your underwear? EAAH!!!!!!!
- Not that I recall.
- Q: i really enjoy getting off of work and going straight to my garden.nothing like home grown veggies.
- I don't have a veggie garden but I do have a flower garden and I am with you on coming home and working in my gardens. So funny weeding and digging in the dirt is so relaxing for me. I love my gardens. Winter----please tell me how that topsy turvy thing works out I was going to get one but never did. I hope you get big beautiful red yummy tomatoes out of it!
- Q: E.g. size, location, rooms etc.
- In movies British homes are always small and old fashioned. But then again, it's just movies.
- Q: I just recently moved into a remodeled home and am renting the house. I was told by my brother-in-law that the LANDLORD should be taking care of/responsible for the gardening issues (backyard/front yard maintenance hiring some professional people). If they fail to do so, then the landlord should take off some $$ off the rent. Is this true? In my lease agreement, she attached a piece of paper to the lease that states that I am responsible to upkeep the yards. Is this true or should I contact her and let her know that the garden isn't my responsibility? Thanks!
- In most of the places I've rented, the yard was the responsibility of the renter. It seems as if your lease spells this out all the more clearly.
- Q: Why is this question in the home and garden section?
- That's really sad if you're trolling in the HG section! Get out of the house, go for a walk and see what plants your neighbours are growing. Talk to them about their gardens. See the happy children and pets in their gardens. Sit on the grass at your local park. These are all better things to do.
- Q: Their was this recipe that was in home and garden a long time ago...it was pretty much chicken lemon juice parsley spinach and orzo..except that my family and i don't remember the measurements so it never comes out right anymore. Does anyone remember this recipe? If so could u please share? Thank you :)

- Q: If you had to pick would it be home or garden?
- The only thing I would ever grow in a garden is tired. I'll pick home.
- Q: supposedly its from an older book so can you guys help me out?

- Q: If you were a family looking for a ranch home, and there were about 2500 sq feet up and another 2500 sq feet of renovated heated space below in the basement, and there was a full kitchen above and below, with a big garden in the front of house and back, would you feel it would be too much area to clean and maintain, taking into consideration that the basement would not be suitable for renting out, as the door leading out of the basement does not have a driveway, since one has to walk over the garden to reach the garage on the main level. The main level is additionally, connected to the basement by means of steps going down within the house into the basement. I feel one would out of necessity need to built a driveway to the basement door in order to be able to sell it with rental potential, as otherwise the area might be too big, in addition to two kitchens being too much to maintain for one family......Any suggestions or tips or ideas?
- I bet you could sell it to an older couple who had a son or daughter who really needed a break like having a basement to move into so he or she could go to school or because his or her job doesn't allow living independently, especially if there were grandchildren. I don't think those people would mind having their kids enter and exit through the house, and they would keep the basement clean.
- Q: My aunt made these a while back and I asked her for the recipe.. She said it was in the Better Home Gardens cookbook. I thought I had this cookbook but it must have gotten lost when I moved. Does anyone have a copy of this recipe? Thanks!
- Here it is: Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar plus additional for sprinkling 1 large egg 2 tablespoons finely grated peeled fresh gingerroot 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice 3 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1 tablespoon ground ginger In a bowl with an electric mixer beat butter with 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy and add egg, beating until combined well. Beat in fresh gingerroot, corn syrup, zest, and orange juice. Into mixture sift remaining ingredients and beat just until combined well. Halve dough and on a sheet of wax paper form each piece into a 10-inch log. Chill logs, wrapped in wax paper, at least 1 day and up to 1 week. Preheat oven to 350°F. and lightly grease baking sheets. Cut logs into 1/4-inch-thick slices and arrange 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Lightly sprinkle cookies with additional sugar and bake in batches in middle of oven 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Transfer cookies to racks to cool. Makes about 80 cookies.
