Q: food out there but this happens every year.the house next door have ivy which has covered our side of one of our fences and we do get a lot of snails in the winter ,could this have anything to do with our problem now?
Go to your local home and garden center. There are fly traps available. The one I use is a gallon jug with an attractant that you mix with water. If you leave the trap in a low sunny place, you'll be grossly amazed at the number of flies it will capture. We use one only about every two years because it's so effective. They cost about $10. Good luck.
Q: I need a recipe from page 11 of that cook book, and don't want to go and buy the whole thing. If someone has that book could you please tell me the information from that particular page. If so I would greatly appreciate it. You could scan it, type it, it doesn't matter. I just really want that recipe.
I have a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook dated 1946. It does not say it is the deluxe edition however. My cookbook has chapters and each of those chapters has the pages numbered starting with 1. The chapters are letters of the alphabet. I need a chapter letter plus page number. If you could tell me what the recipe is for which you are looking for, I am quite sure my cook book will have it.
Q: I was just looking through my better homes and gardens new cookbook and found that the page with fruit cobbler is missing!!! Any one else have the book that could give me the recipe? I'd like the recipe for the peach filled cobbler. I've already looked online. Thanks!!!
4 cups peeled, sliced peaches 2 cups sugar, divided 1/2 cup water 8 tablespoons butter 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour 1 1/2 cups milk Ground cinnamon, optional Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat. Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using. Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. To serve, scoop onto a plate and
Q: OK so I decided to try out some mulch for my home garden where I'm growing okra and squash.I decided to just take some grass clipping from when I cut the grass the other day and just kinda spread it around and what not.Is this a good mulch? If not, what's something I could use? This is a very simple garden, being it's my 1st.It's about 10 ft long and 2.5 ft wide.It has no hill, meaning it's just flat dirt.I've got about 8 or so squash and about 15 or so okra.Yes, I'm aware that I will more than likely have to be getting of or transplanting some of the squash to make room.
Almost all plant matter will serve as a mulch. The only issue with grass clippings is that they can sometimes clump together and form a mat (good for stopping weeds, bad for letting water in). So just check it every now and then
Q: We are building a new home and are acting as our own contractors. We are having cabinets, granite, wood floors and tile brought in from other stores but need faucets, sinks, toilets ect.. Home Depot used to do a 10% discount card but neither them nor Lowes does this anymore. Anybody have any ideas as far as where to go to get alot of things where they might give a dicount? How is Home Deot and Lowes quality?
I would call a plumbing supplier. Tell them you want to buy all of your fixtures and ask if they will give you a discount on buying everything for your house from them. Also, quality of fixtures is not found in the store but in the brand. Koeler is your top of the line stuff, but it is expensive! Moen is standard for faucets and has a life time guarantee. Peerless is also a good name for faucets and American Standard is a good name for your ceramic fixtures.
Q: Home Garden gt; General - Home Garden --gt; WTF?
The Speed Demon ~ The Formula One Office Racer ~ The TT Rolllie Racer ~ James Tiberius Kirk ~ Willy Wonka ~
Q: My friend and I (both female) are moving into my parent's basement and we want to make it look nice. Decorations we are interested in are like more urban style.... pastel colors and cool designs would be nice. Also, we do have a budget to stay in, so a less expensive website would probably be best. Thank you:)
You okorder and also Better Homes Gardens. Just realize that the items shown on Better Homes Gardens are going to be more expensive because they are catering more toward people with more money to spend. IKEA is also a good source for ideas, especially for creative storage solutions for smaller spaces. They also have a good selection of inexpensive area rugs and smaller decor pieces too. Target has some really cool bedding options as well as inexpensive artwork (photo, photo-real canvasses, posters, etc.). And remember that just because you get ideas from a page or source doesn't mean that you have to purchase from the store behind it. Dollar type stores (Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General), Wal-mart, K-mart and even Big Lots now carry a lot of things for the home. With Big Lots, you have the added bonus of being able to get home goods, pots pans and kitchen goods, cleaning supplies and basic grocery staples all in one place.
Q: How to use "nutrient solution" to build "soilless garden""
Soilless cultivation device generally only need to spend a hundred dollars can buy a general area of 1.5 square meters
Q: How do we people at homes makebiscuits like Brittania, cakes like chocholate in hotels?
I have a site for over 100 type of cookies but Idon't know how to put it here. i'll keep trying.
Q: I had a recipe from a beter homes and gardens cookbook for chicken enchiladas. I do not know what edition it was, but my cookbook is at least 10 years old. The picture of the enchiladas is garnished with tomatoes and black olives and green onions. My cookbook is packed for a move and I need that recipe. Thank you in advance!
