FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.

Q: I have a SD card reader in my PC but it is not recognized and it freezes the PC. I really don't know what to do! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! cheers
in the journey that your Card reads SDHC then it ought to no longer, no longer all card readers will study them, the HC stands for prime ability, I extremely have one which wont study extreme ability playing cards both, i will purchase one which does notwithstanding, ask contained in the shop if that is going to formerly you purchase one.
Q: but I don't know what they are supposed to used for?
The Hub is to add additional USB slots to your computer for microphones, speakers, mice, or a USB powered nerf-gun. The card reader lets you take info/pics/music/whatever off of cameras and other memory cards in PSPs and such.
Q: I volunteer for an organization that provides free service. The organization keeps track of those who enter and use our services. When they enter they have to sign so we can keep a head count on all those that use our service. I am seeking a way where they can enter swipe there ID (drivers license, military id, DOD id etc.) It must be a method that only the name is retrieved and at most in connection to military their unit. no other information is needed. It needs to be able to be databased to retrieve later. What I am looking for is what simple hardware will I need. For example will a CAC reader work for multiple ID types. Also is there a free software that I can use with the ID reader to maintain the database. I am just looking for something simple to keep head count so not looking for something that cost much. It is strictly for a volunteer serves to help improve our service to those that use it. any links to free software and any hardware that may be needed would be great.
There are all kinds of solutions for your situation. The hardware ranges from less than $20.00 for a simple USB scanner, to over $500.00 for a mountable, slide-in, network ready scanner. Some of the hardware comes bundled with software. It really depends on what your needs and budget are. At a minimum, you will need to get a reader that can read the PDF417 barcode. If you get a smart-card reader, make sure it also reads PDF417 barcodes.
Q: I have this Lexar MicroSD card adapter, and I used to be able to plug it into my Vantec 5 in 1 card reader, and it would pop up on the screen, now when I put it in, I don't hear a boo-boom! like I'm supposed to, and when I go into My Computer, nothing's there. It's not detected anymore. I read other questions and they say you need new drivers. I tried googling Vantec 5 in 1 card reader drivers and no websites with these drivers came up. I don't even think I need any. My MicroSD card that is in the adapter is unknown Maybe kingston. I got it with my R4 for my Nintendo DS, there is no logo on the card and this SD card was a free promotion type thing. 'buy R4 now and get a free 1gb SD card'. So can you help me please?
Card readers usualy have the drivers built in i would try a different usb port if your are trying to use it in the front port it may not be getting enough power or the front port are damaged try using the back ports if it still doesn't work try it on a different computer if you think you do need drivers right click my computer then go to properties then the hardware tab then device manager if you see your card reader with a yellow attention symbol next to it it may need drivers or it has some other issues but it will tell you which additionally make sure its in sp3. if not run windows update. i dont know how many driver problems i have solved for people by doing that
Q: I cannot see it anywhere on my computer. The red light is on indicating it is connected. Now what?
if you have xp or vista it should be in my computer try to test if other simular usb things work like flashdrive. if they don't work then you ubs port may have been fryed or your computer isn't setup to use it's usb ports. if your useing windows 98, or other than xp or vista like window 98 or windows me. then you probably will have to setup your card reader with some software downloaded or found with the card reader anyway you should include the additional details of your operating system and if usb flashdrives work. ok i got you message usb card readers are fairly new so they wouldn't be anything than plug and play so you cant really do anything to your computer to make it work. the way i'd go about it is doing two tests, 1) firstly plug you usb card reader with card in it in to someones elses computer if it doesn't work then you only have to worry about the card reader. 2) take the card out and go to a digital prints station in k-mart or what ever and put you card in it if the station recognizes the card then it's most deffinatly a dodgy card reader and you might have to buy another one, conversly if the card is a sd type then you might be able to use a digital camera to read and write files i know i do.
Q: I can upload my pics. and send them by E - mail. Recently - after coming home I tried to use it at home and my Norton indicated - Trojan Virus and another thing called Packaged .Obviously it got infected at an Internet Cafe. My question is - will the memory card also be infected ? If so can this be repaired ?
A USB reminiscence Card Reader is for swifter transfers out of your reminiscence card on your workstation. in case you plugged enable's say your digicam quickly into the workstation it would take plenty longer to be waiting to get admission to and regulate the photos which you have taken. Many reminiscence card readers are regular meaning that no count what form of reminiscence card you have you would be waiting to apply the reader. it is very useful once you have quite a few diverse cameras or media instruments, so as that one device would be waiting to settle for any form of media card you have.
Q: i just bought a card reader, do you think the usb flash drive is better? im not sure.
A Card Reader can not be used to save data or any files. It is only for reading cards, transfering the data from your memory cards to your pc. A USB flash drive is used to keep the files you wanna save. Connect it to your pc using a USB cable and you can save any files in it.
Q: If you do not read the cards or want to tell me that they are a crock or they do not work or are a hoax, I do not wanna hear from you. I know I need to clean my cards and I heard from another card reader that she uses regular table salt. I was wondering if this is a good way to do it and how would I go about it?
Some use sage you can get it at a health food store or maybe new age store. Yes, salt should work as salt has been used for centuries as a purifier. CLean out evil spirits, so forth. I never clean my cards. I don't feel the need to.
Q: Does the Apple 24-inch iMac have card reader? Will it work smoothly if I install Window XP, without having any problems? Can it burn dvd and cd? Are the speakers loud enough?
No, there are no macs with built in card readers (buy a usb one for $19.95) Yes, smoothly and easily. Yes, it ships with a double-layer Superdrive standard Yes, the speakers on the iMac are awesome, with surprising bass for such small comes
Q: I have a brand new Gateway NV53 with a 'Multi-in-1 card reader'. It should be able to read all cards except the larger professional cards. Here's the problem, I have an SD cardbut it is smaller than normal sd cards. It is the same length, but a different width. When I try to slide the card in the reader, it just sits in there. It doesn't connect to anything. Am I missing something?
The card reader is designed to accomodate cards of different sizes. You can insert the card firmly, then see if the computer auto-detects and displays it as a new drive under My Computer
