FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.

Q:I bought a usb card reader, does it store files like songs and word documents, if so how do i save them to it? I plug it in and nothing comes up or anything. 10 points!:)

Q:I have a camera that only takes a mini scan disk. So I got a Verbatim disk reader. When I plug it in to my computer, it acknowledges that the reader is there, but not the disk. Long shot I know just thought i'd try anything before throwing away $20
its a problem with a disk check if its inserted properly
Q:i rebooted my computer and reinstalled all my cd drivers, but found my card reader wont pick up that a card has been put in there. I tried turning off and restarting my computer, both didn't work and my computer tells me there arnt any updates for it and its working properly have you come across this? how did you fix it thank you soooo Muchmy computers a dell(windows vista)
Did you use a disc to format and reinstall Vista? Why didn`t you just take it back to facory settings (F8 at startup) and all your drivers would be there automatically. Reply to added info. No it isn`t the same, a restore to factory settings includes all your drivers. It may not be a driver issue though, as you say it`s reported to be working properly. I`m assuming it`s saying this in device manager. I have this problem in my desktop, the built in card reader won`t read some cards but reads others. I use a usb card reader to overcome the problem. This is the type of thing I mean, very cheap and worth having to hand, I have a few bought from China for about 15p each.
Q:I need one soon, and I can't wait to order it online.
yes, but make sure you get a multi card reader.
Q:What is the product classification of the reader?
USB card reader is currently on the market the most popular card reader, Ethernet RJ45 card reader because of its Ethernet can be used for remote control, gradually attention,
Q:I bought a universal memory card reader for 2 types of cards I have. When I plug it into my computer and insert a card it sees new hardware but how do I access what is stored on my cards? I cannot figure out how to open or access my stored photos. I have tried everything. Please help!
Simple solution here's how I use Windows File Manager. Go to all programs or perhaps just your start button and look for the control panel. I have a control panel icon on my desktop because I access it all the time for photos. On the control panel icon - right click. You'll get a menu. Near the top of the menu you'll see explore. Click that and you'll get a screen that on the left, lists your drives and other devices. In the right you'll have all the control panel icons - for this purpose ignore all those icons. On the left screen, in the list of drives, you'll see something about a new drive, removable drive, or perhaps a drive that's been assigned a letter that's where you'll find your photos. Because, with a card reader, Windows sees it as a drive. Once in there you'll find your photos listed as files. Simply copy / paste to a folder on your hard drive and wala! If you need more help please email me, I'll be glad to walk you through the process if need be. Jim A
Q:I have a set of contact smart card reader and secure smart card which was used for windows 2000.wen i tried for window xp,it is not detecting the reader.can u suggest wat all changes do i need to make to interface with window xp.any reference to msgina.dll? Pl dont suggest to buy a new set of smart card reader coz it is my project to make ithe old one work in window xp.
I am not sure what do you mean by a contact card reader. But basically if you have a card reader that is not being recognized by Windows XP first I would try go to the website of the manufacturer of that card reader. Look for Support, and see if they have the driver for Windows XP there, download it, install it, reboot, and see if it works for you. Sounds to me like all you need is the right driver(s) for Windows XP and it should work fine. And no, I have no idea what is msgina.dll if you're getting a message that pops up saying something about that file, maybe that's what it is, something wrong with the driver for your card reader. - Go download the latest driver(s) for Windows XP at the manufacturer's website. I hope this helped.
Q:I bought a SDHC (Security Disk with High Capacity) of 4GB for my Nintendo DSi, but when I plugged it Windows did nothing. I went to My Computer and chosed the SD card reader driver but it froze my computer, I unplugged the card and it unfroze. I have tried to install the 3 hotfixes for that but all say this:The Installation program detected that the Service Pack version of the sistem is more recent than this update. It is not necessary to install this update.Even if I have a Windows XP Proffessional with Service Pack 3 system, my SD card reader does not read my SDHCcard. Is there a way to fix this? If so, please answer!
No, not all SD card readers can read SDHC cards, to remedy this problem get a reader that specifies it can read SDHC. It has nothing to do with Windows XP with SP3, its the reader itself. I have Win XP with SP3 as most of us who still use XP have. I just made sure my reader was able to handle SDHC type cards as well when I installed it. Get an internal reader instead of external USB type because internal ones, though they attach to the computer via the USB internal headers, they will read at top speed always, while external readers always seem to be much slower and sluggish.
Q:I was a bit frazzled when buying my computer because I was in school at the time and so much stuff was going on, or else I would have bogged down those guys with questions. (Lol, I stuck to the generic zillion I usually ask)and was just wondering about that. Alsowhat is a super-multi drive?
It means it can read 14 different kinds of memory cards One common memory card is secure digital (SD for short) which is common on digital cameras. Another one is MicroSD (which may or may not be suported on that) this is a smaller variations of SD, often seen in more portable devices, such as a Cell Phone. A Super Multi-drive basically means it can read/write in any DVD format. This includes CD-ROM CD-R CD-RW DVD-ROM DVD-R DVD-RW DVD+RW DVD+R DVD-RAM DL DVD+R DL DVD-R
Q:Hi guys. Please tell me the answer
A card reader had its hey day in the 1970's. Essentially, it reads in a deck of cards which were punched with square holes across about 132 columns. The pattern of vertical holes signified the character. So essentually a card could have 132 characters on. Programmers (in the olden days) would write out sheets of cards which would then be typed up by a punch card operator. The punch card operator would then deliver the 'deck' back to the programmer. The deck could be 12cm deep - sometimes much much more. The Programmer would then submit the deck of cards to the computer room where the Computer Operators would take the deck of cards and feed them through a card reader which would read about 5 cards a second. The information held on the cards would be loaded into memory and could then be executed by the processor. Ultimately, these decks could be saved on disk as true programs. Any Programmer who upset a Computer Operator could expect his deck of cards to be accidentally dropped on the floor. It took ages to sort them back into the correct sequence!!!
