Make sure that you regulaly clean the wood floors in order to prevent dust accumulation. We recommand to clean a small part

of stains as a testing ground to prevent too much chromatic aberration.

Dust and stain— use a hard brush dipped in warm soapy water to remove it.

Mildew— scrub with ordinary wood mode class agents, or bleach to rinse or wipe it directly.

Chalk stains—In addition to the while chalk, other colors can not be removed, you can use bleaching agent with hot soapy

water to wash it.

Ice or snow—Apply calcium chloride or rock salt, it can melt ice or snow, then use hot soapy water to wash it.

Stain soil and dirts— Apply detergent, which contains oxalic acid or phosphoric acid. Whiping the stain for 10-15 mins.

Greasy and oil-based stains—immediately use household cleaning products with hot soapy water to wash it.

Juice and wine stains—Mixed the bleach stain agent and hot soapy water to dilute the stain and wipe.

Q: What are the defects in the floor?
What is the original design heating system?
Q: We think we should refinish the floors first, in case stain gets on the floorboards, but on the other hand, paint could get on the floors. Which is the bigger danger? Advice?
Okay, so if by floor boards you mean baseboards then I say refinish the floors first. You can do it in either order. But refinishing a floor is really messy and you are more than likely going to have to go back and re touch up your base boards... painting them once is hard enough. Just make sure after you do the floors and start painting that you keep a rag handy with mineral oil on it. You can buy glue remover for hardwood floors at any home improvement store (mineral oil) and wipe up any paint that gets on the floor. It wont hurt your floor I promise.
Q: When installing the floor to pay attention to what
When installing the floor to pay attention to what
Q: it is in my bathroom and it is so stuck to the floor i can't get some of it up. any advise? thanks
Yep, I had to do this a couple of years ago...it was a piece of work, got a scrapper with only an 8 inch blade (in hindsight, I should have gotten a larger one, too for the bigger areas), get a gallon of adhesive remover while you're at the hardware store, too. You will work hard to get it off but, it does take some elbow grease and some well deserved breaks! The adhesive remover softens the dried glue making it a ton easier! And be careful scraping that you don't chip the concrete foundation (if that is what you have underneath) Good Luck!

Q: Why do price floors lead to surpluses? What is an example of a price floor?
Price floor is a floor that you mop, for a price, typically in McDonalds restaurant. As a result of working there, you eat more food than you need, and you end up with surplus weight.
Q: Ok, I'm trying to persuade my mom to pull up our (gross) carpet and stain the concrete floors. We have lots of indoor pets, and carpet just isn't working. So i'm wondering how much does it cost to get the concrete stained. Our if possible can we do it ourselves. If anyone has had this done to their floors, does it look bad? Thanks
So, you're looking for some hard work, huh? Tear up all of the tile and remove all of the adhesive. Now if this is ceramic tile, you'll really have fun removing all of that thinset mortar. If it's vinyl, it'll still be plenty of hard work with floor scrapers/grinders. All the old adhesive has to come up -- all of it! Then you'll have to start with the staining and polishing process, which costs $3 per foot on a new construction job in Texas. Smaller jobs cost a whole lot more. Good luck!
Q: i want to replace the old carpet to laminate flooring. can anyone provide me with a step by step guide on how to do this? i have also purchased some underlayment for laminate flooring to go along with the flooring.
Here is what I have noticed with my friends who have laminate or hardwood floors versus those of us that have carpeting. 1 - Wood floors are very unforgiving with crumbs and such on them, you have to constantly sweep them to keep them looking nice and crumb free. When they go unswept they will actually look worse than most carpetings. 2 - Carpets with pets will need to be vacuumed at least every other day. While carpeting is forgiving and doesn't show all the crumbs that might be on the floor, you do have to worry about spills and the whole allergens being trapped in it and all. 3 - With laminate flooring, if you drop something on it there is always the chance that the laminate will crack and the wood underneath will show through..while something like Bamboo, which is a renewable resource is the same color all the way through. So, for me it is a matter of wether you want to vacuum constantly or sweep constantly. I grew up in a household where we had carpeting and dogs inside. None of us had a problem with allergies or anything like that...but, my Mom does vacuum every other day and would also sweep the tile every other day as well. I think it is sixes as far as work and upkeep goes...wood is just more popluar right now.
Q: how to prove that floor(-x) = -ceiling(x) and that -floor(x) = ceiling(-x) show steps
Let x= k+p where k is an integer and 0<=p<1 (obviously k is first integer less than x) floor(-x)=floor(-k-p) and since k or -k is an integer we can take it out of floor(or ceiling) floor(-x)=-k +floor(-p) floor(-p)=-1 when -1<-p<0 and floor(-p)=0 when p=0 -ceiling(x)=-ceiling(k+p)=-k - ceiling(p) ceiling(p)=1 when 0<p<1 and ceiling(p)=0 when p=0 then floor(-p)=-ceiling(p) thus we proved floor(-x)=-ceiling(x) ceiling(-x)=celing(-k-p)= -k + celing(-p) ceiling(-p)=0 when -1<-p<=0 -floor(x)=-floor(k+p)=-k - floor(p) -floor(p)=0 when 0<=p<1 then ceiling(-p)=-floor(p) thus we proved ceiling(-x)=-floor(x)
Q: Would it be awkward to have tile on both the floor & counter top? We have white cabinets, stainless steel appliances & I want medium brown floors & counter tops...would this be weird?
It's true that solid surface would be best; however, you can use a granite tile at a much lower cost than a slab. Use dark grout and seal it properly to avoid the problems the other person mentioned. As far as color is concerned; I think I might want the floor a little lighter than the counter tops - to make them pop. Same color family, just slightly different tones or textures. Also, if you don't have a lot of counters, you can ask for a discounted granite slab; most granite places have leftovers. Make sure you have some warm color lighting or accessories to spice up your look; like oranges or reds.
