- Q: I have an 04 350Z Track model. The track model doesn't come with stock bose system. I blew my driver side speaker so I purchased 350z oem bose speakers for the front. When I took off the speaker I noticed that where the speaker goes connected is different even though they're oem. I've never installed speakers but since it was oem I thought I would just have to plug them in. Help !
- Bose Speakers operate on a different OHM resistance you may not have enough power in the stock radio head to power that BOSE speaker. Crutchfield is your best bet to find the correct replacement speakers Good Luck

- Speakers will eventually wear outbut not for a long time, like 10-20 years long. Whether of not different speakers will sound better depends mostly on your ears. If you can hear the difference between a speaker that costs $100 and one that costs $1000 then then yeah, upgrading makes sense. But if you can't tell the difference then the $100 set is fine. For home theater in general, the most important speakers are the front left and right. These are the ones used for music or other stereo setups. Your front center and rear speakers don't have to be anything fancy.

- A very popular setup is Component Front and Coax Rear. Reason is Cost Efficiency. In a car, 70% of the sound quality comes from the front speakers, 30% from the rear. So 70% of your budget should be spent there. If you have $300 and you purchased $150 speaker on the front and $150 for the back. And your getting 70% of the sound from the front, you have lost sound quality potential. But if you get a $220 Speaker for the front, something real nice, and some ok speakers in the rear. Thats a better use of you money. If I had a car with a $200 speaker in the rear, another car with $150 speaker rear, and a third car with a $75 speaker in the rear, all 3 cars would sound similar (as far as the rear goes) So spend as much money in the front speakers as you dare. Like $200 Pioneer 720 C series, or Boston Accoustics S60 $220, or a Boston Accoustics SL60 (really nice set). Your polk audio is ok, but most installers laugh to themselves a little when they see polks. They aren't bad, but there are a lot of better choices, like at least Infiniti's The best component I have heard in the 200 $ range is the Pioneer 720 C series. It has a lot of surface area on the mid and a fantastic silk dome tweeter. At our shop, our best selling tweeter is a 500$ 720D series component. That thing rocks but the C series is 80% of the sound at the $200 price range.

- Any 4x6 speaker you want. The power rating of the speakers will far exceed anything your headunit is capable of outputting (which is about 20 - 23W RMS). Go to the store, listen to as many speakers as you can, pick one out that you like and fits your budget. Make sure the speakers are playing off the same headunit, powered by the same amp, and playing the same song. Compare apples to apples.
- Q: Currently, I have a 2.1 speaker system for my computer. The speaker volume was significant, but I was not happy with the low volume of the subwoofer. So, I raised the volume of the speakers and the subwoofer also increased in volume, but now my normal speakers are too loud. - Covering the speakers is a bad idea. You are losing high frequency sound. Facing them away from you would cause the same problem. Covering the speakers also increases the work load of the transducers, but it is probably not a big deal. Sounds like your trying to get big bass out of a cheap 2.1 system. It's not going to happen. You would have to buy a part to reduce the volume on the speakers, and wire it in series with the sub. Not worth it.
- Q: i ask my dad to buy me some affordable speakers, and he bought me some sony xplods (2 4x6 30rms each n combined 280watts, and 2 6 1/2 50rms each and combined 500 watts) all for $90, both are 4-way speakers (also what is the difference between 2-way 3-way and 4-way speakers?) he doest know much about speakers either but he got this ones because he thought sony is a good brand, should i return them or keep them?
- The work decent is debateable here. I have two 6.5 speakers, xplod in the rear, they suck, but my xplod deck is nice.
- Q: i have an 87 monte carlo ss which came with 2, 4 speakers in the dash , i want to run 1 new 6 1/2 speaker on both doors. There were no speakers in those positions prevuiously, what i want to know is how do i get sound to them , can i just run another amp and run speaker wires from the amp to the speakers?

- Q: exact same model and everything sooo, i've had them for not very long for like a few months and there perfect they work than later my friends were over and i blasted the music like almost to max and i played a couple of songs. later when they left only one speaker was working than i tried checking everything, if the power was on, i checked the plugs. i checked my sound manager on the computer. than after both stopped working. but when i go to the sound manager it shows the volume level and its playing. i don't know. someone please help :(
- Usually speakers are plug and play, so without disassembling the speakers (to make sure the wires are all connected), you cannot fix them.

- normally the speaker button is located on the bottom row of buttons on some models the speaker button is located towards the top near the talk/end buttons not all models have a speaker in the handset. models that have a speaker in the base, the speaker button is normally towards the lower left side not all base units have a speaker phone
