- Q:I was wondering on a home audio subwoofer. What is the extra speaker terminals on the backside of the sub. How do you hook up speakers on these terminals?
- If your subwoofer is a powered sub, you will probably need to use a Coax cable to connect them using that port. If you have a low end or older receiver, it may not have a coax speaker jack to connect the sub woofer with.
- Q:I can only hear all sounds from the headphones connected to my computer headphone outlet, not the speakers, I have no headphone connection on my speakers. I have changed no connections since I did the factory restore, and no sound from my speakers since then. Can you buy speakers that have an installation disk? Woud this solve my problem?
- Are these internal speakers or external speakers? Are you sure your speakers work? Go to start-control panel and double click on Sounds and Audio Devices Then check if the volume is on. Or double click on the Volume control icon and make sure no output is muted. Speakers have no drivers, but your audio card needs one. make sure your audio card's driver is installed properly.
- Q:Can I replace with any brand subwoofer speaker?
- You can replace the speakers in a blown subwoofer but there are a couple of things to look for. 1. Make sure the new speakers are the same resistance (ohms) as the old ones. Otherwise you run the risk of overloading your amp. 2. Try to stay near the same wattage. Any large difference there could give less than optimal performance. Not sure what your price range is put check Parts Express for any replacement speakers you may need. They have pretty good prices and a good selection.
- Q:I just bought a Pioneer DEH-2000MP and when I started to read the installation, it said I need 50 watt speakers, now i checked my factory speakers and there only 15 watts, I have a 1994 Toyota Camry. When I bought the car it had an aftermarket deck already installed, but its one of those cheap Walmart brands, So my question is if i have to upgrade my speakers or not, and if i dont what is the worse that could happen?
- i agree, your factory speakers will hold up just fine. eventually they will probiably blow but thats a while off still. the deck says you 5need 50 watt speakers but thats peak you probiably need around an 18 watt rms speaker and the 15 watts on your stock speakers is the rms rating so there pretty close to being perfect for each other!

- Q:how do i connect my 2 speakers ive got two sony speakers i want to connect them to my sony standalone dvd player it currently plays music through my tv speakersbut i need stereo audio through both of these speakers the problem is each speaker has got a single wire dividng into two wires and there are no pins at the end here is the link of the wire of one speaker
- The speakers have to be connected to an amplifier. You can't just hook up speakers to a DVD player, since the signal is not loud enough to drive unamplified speakers. The other option is to buy powered speakers, like you might use for a computer.

- Q:I just bought 4- 5.25 pioneer speakers and i want to get a 12 kicker sub, i was wondering what kind of amp i should buy to power my speakers and a 12 kicker sub, or should i just let my aftermarket head unit power my speakers and get a small amp to power the sub?
- It depends what watts your speakers can handle. Usually there around 30-70 watts all depends on the speaker. All head units give off about 20-25 watts. If you want your speakers to sound better but a 2 channel amp. A sub just match the watts of sub with watts of amp. Get a mono amp to run the sub. I recomend the sub Alpine Type R there really really good. I have one and LOVE IT!
- Q:If I have a building that has an office in the middle, and 3 hallways on each side. I have 12 70v Speakers that will be run off a PA Amp. The speakers will be positioned in the hallways and rooms along the hallways.Can I Run 3 main 70v Lines down each hallway, and connect each speaker to the 70v Line that is ran down the hall? Instead of sending the 70v line into a speaker, then out the speaker into another speaker, etc etc.Thanks

- Q:I need help installing some 6.5in alpine SPR-17C speakers in my 08 lancer. its a lancer DE w/ regular factory speakers, not the rockford fosgate option. my problem is this, the speaker mounting spot is triangular, and not circular. the supports of the speaker are too wide and so the speaker doesnt reach all the way into the opening (because the opening is not circular the speaker hits the flat ends of the triangle). currently im thinking i have to cut away some metal, but id have to get that done professionly most likely and thats exspensive, so does anyone have tips for either cutting the metal, an adapter piece that will work on the lancer, or just a trick to getting them in?
- make a baffle out of some mdf wood. You can screw the baffle into the metal to secure it and the wood will give you an extra .75 inch of clearance, and hopefully that would be enough. You might have to cut the plastic off the door over the speaker for this and put a separate grill over the speakers to make this work though
