Q: i need to know what color the wires are to hook up a stereo in my friends truck. her factory radio was stolen and they stole the factory plug

Q: The wire in my headphones broke right next to the jack plug. I had a pair of crappy earphones that I have cut up as a replacement jack plug but no matter what I do I cant get any response. Is it because headphone wires are not compatible with earphone wires?Thank you
Wires are wires. They are definitely compatible. The problem is that if the wires you are replace are made of cheap components then the sound quality wont be great. Also if you aren't getting any response then you have either wired it up wrong or you have damaged the speaker drivers and they now no longer work. Make sure you have connected the ground to the ground on the jack and the positive to the positive. Look around on google for a wiring diagram
Q: whenever i try to connect two electrical wires by twisting them together, i hold the two wires paralell to eachother, grab them with needle nose pliers and turn it. it never seems to work though! if anything, it just breaks the wire and i have to strip more insulation! what am i doing wrong? thx
The best answer before mine is to use a wire cap and someone gave it a thumbs down. Just twisting wires together is NOT acceptable to make a good connection. Someone mentions soldering, but depending on the size wire, the wire nut is the correct answer. It is not just for insulation, and do not compare it to tape. A wire nut provides the pressure needed between the conductors to make a good connection. Twisting the wires before putting on the wire nut is not necessary, but see the instructions for your wire nut. When the wire nut is put on it will twist the wires together and do a better job as such than any pliers can do.
Q: I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer lt and i was trying to see if anyone knows what color is what for the radio harness i want to straight wire my aftermarket cd player in because the harness is 100 dollars to buy. if anyone can tell me which wire goes to where by color or know of a good diagram i would appreciate it.

Q: where can i buy these type of wires (copper insulated wires)??
Hi i would be sure to use insulated wires in most situations, the only time bare wires are considered is when there is absolutely no chance of any one touching them and the only time that situation ever occurs is in the case of an antenna for receiving a radio signal. the wire should as high of the ground as possible so no one could touch it.
Q: I've started cutting wire and bending it into shapes to create animals or images, but the problem is, I need to know how to make each piece stick together without any glues as they make the art dulled and the metal looses its shine :/ any suggestions?
If you were taking college sculpture class that required making sculptures of wire (as Idid) you would learn that you want to first try to figure out how to use one long piece and bend, or twist or encircle to get the shape you want. Nobody said this was easy - that was the problem we had tosolve without the use of metal glues, or soldering irons. The teacher advised us very little but did tellus to take a piece of board, either junk lying around, driftwood, or buy at one of the hobby stores those small placques in the wood section. Figure out what you want to make first, draw it if you can. Then figure out how big you want it and try to estimate how much wire you will need. With small nails, nail one end to the top side of the wood where you think you want to start. That would be the foot of a figure or the base of an abstract shape. Thenstart bending the wire to the shapes you want; remember that you dont have to make an exact reproduction of every line you have drawn. Ask yourself how you can make the illusion of a shape. When you have it pretty much how you want it, or have finished the other part of the bottom of the piece, cut the wire, then bend and shape it to be the last foot, and nail it to the board. Again, as Prof. Greene used to tell us - nobody said making art is easy. Art is hard work. I started by making small people. then an animal, then a tableau of several people in different poses. By the way, I made an A. a good book is: Start Sculpting Now! A good artist to research is Alexander Calder. This was his best work! Anothr good way to plan is to use the pencil in the Paintbox to draw it first on your computer - this willhelp you plan where to bend and twist to join in advance.

Q: A wire has resistance 56.8 ohms. If another wire consists of the same material but has twice the length and half the diameter of the first, what is the resistance of the 2nd wire?
The resistance of a wire is given by R = rho*L/A, L is length, A is cross-sectional area, and rho is resistivity, which is dependent on material. It will be constant here as we are dealing with the same material. Let's say that the radius of the first wire is r1. R1 = rho*L1/A1 = rho*L1/(pi*r1^2) rho = R1*A1/L1 = R1*pi*r1^2/L1 For the second wire, R2 = rho*L2/A2 = L2/(pi*r2^2) * R1*Pi*r1^2/L1 L2 is twice L1, L2=2*L1. The diameter is half the first, which means that the radius of half the first, so r2 = r1/2. R2 = 2*L1/(pi*(r1/2)^2) * R1*pi*r1^2/L1 = 8*R1 = 454 ohms.
Q: i am looking for a wire diagram for a 03 eclipse gts with an infinity factory radio and built in amp. i was curios if you can add another amp and sub to this system to give it a little more bass
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avvlm hooking up stereos is hard, sometimes the cables dont even match colors, and you need a tester to see which is gain and which is ground.
Q: cat chewed two wires computer speaker wireand wii sensor bar wire well i can't just buy new ones or replace the wire so i need to reconnect them some how using insulated ferrules and electric tape and wire strippers any suggestions how to do this properly do i crimp them together with insulated ferrules or solder them together?what else can i do?i'm clueless how this worksneed help
A temporary fix would be to strip about 1/2 to 3/8 inch of insulation off each wire and twist appropriate wires together and fasten with wire nuts. A permanent fix would be to strip and twist then solder then cover with electrical tape and only electrical tape, no duct or masking tape.
