Q:I‘m a teenage girl and I‘m almost positive I have an iron deficiency, or anemia, or whatever.I get tired all the time, I‘m unusually pale, I have trouble walking a flight of stairs (I‘m not obese, my weight is normal for my height), and I can sleep for 10 hours but wake up as tired as I was before. How many milligrams of iron should I take? I heard if you take too many it can lead to death. and should I consult a doctor before doing so?
Iron deficiency is the most common mineral deficiency in women. The best source of iron is obtained from eating meats (Heme-Iron sources). Vitamin C also helps with absorbing Iron especially if you don't eat much meat and get your iron from other foods (Non-Heme Iron). Then your last option would be an iron supplement, but that is never the most effective to get any vitamins or minerals. Here is website with some good iron sources and more information. You should consult your doctor if don't feel better. www.mckinley.illinois.edu/Handouts/dietary_sources_iron.html
Q:What brand of hairdryers and flat irons would you recommend?
i'd think there has to be something added to it to keep it from turning that brown color that banana's turn. But its got to be 100% natural. Gerber prides itself on that. If anything its like a lemon juice or something. Read the jar. All ingredients MUST be listed on the label.
Q:what does iron do for you?
From pedia: Iron is essential to nearly all known organisms. In cells, iron is generally stored in the centre of metalloproteins, because free iron (which binds non-specifically to many cellular components) can catalyse production of toxic free radicals. Iron deficiency can lead to iron deficiency anemia. 'Free radicals play an important role in a number of biological processes, some of which are necessary for life, such as the intracellular killing of bacteria by neutrophil granulocytes.' Basically you need it in your blood to stay strong and healthy, though it is toxic if you take too much (like taking too many supplements)
Q:How to improve the quality of nodular cast iron pipe fittings
To avoid the iron pipe inner wall of mold management lean reduce iron pipe pipe mould run speed, can make a dense and uniform pitting; avoid mold wall cast iron pipe pipe packed too shallow, increase the pressure, wear a good play to nod, can ensure the suitable depth of pitting. For pipes with grease and debris on the inner surface, especially the new cast iron pipe fittings, the grease and sundries on the surface of the cast iron pipe can be removed before use. For the cast iron pipe mould with a crack of a turtle, it is slight to use. When in use, the amount of mould powder should be increased; if the crack of the turtle is serious, the cast iron pipe mould must be replaced in time.
Q:Well i visited my doctor yesterday and he says i have Iron deficiency in my diet so guys please suggest me some foods which i could eat on regular basis to increase the iron intake in my body . thanks
I have battled anemia and two foods that have helped me have been kidney beans and cream of wheat. No joke. One serving of Cream of Wheat has half the RDA of iron. Check it out--
Q:i wana hear wut u guys/girls think about iron body training and the Benifits of it
I feel iron body training is well ground in traditional martial arts. It suites every aspect of offense and defense. The idea of iron body isn't actually all that strange to the martial arts. I'm reminded of Goju Ryu's Hojo Undo tools like the makiwara, ude kitae, tou, and jari bako. All of these collectively trains, hardens and conditions the body to not only withstand constant impact (defense) but provides power and strength as well (offense). The benefits, if practiced correctly, are astounding and with phenomenal results! As Sensei Scandal said, specific iron body training isn't to be done long term. It's better to be done for a small while followed by a short break. Hojo Undo is rather different as while you're practicing one, your taking a break from the others. You don't want to have a Hojo Undo marathon.
Q:Ok so I bought boyscout iron ons for the first time how do i iron them on do i just add heat to the top?
Hello noname: Most Scout badges are not iron-on ready; you need to buy a film to do this. Patch Magic is what is sold through the Scout supply division, and it comes with very good instructions. NEVER iron on a patch that is not designed to be iron-on; it will ruin the patch and the shirt. If you are going on the inexpensive way, pick up some iron-on backing from a cloth store or hobby store. Cut the film to the size of the patch. Place your shirt on the ironing table, and pre-heat the fabric. Use a medium setting on your iron; high-heat will cause the iron on glue to soak into the fabric; you don't want this, you want the glue to sandwich between the patch and the fabric. After you have pre-heated the area where your patch will be placed, position the iron-on material on the back of your patch. Position the patch on the shirt, and cover the patch with a towel or thin cloth. press the iron on the patch but do not move the iron. hold for 15 to 20 seconds, then remove the iron. let the patch cool for a few minutes until you can touch it and not get burned. lift up the cloth and 'tug' a the patch. If it moves, redo the iron process for a little longer.
Q:This is both a statement and a question. My mother had a gastric bypass 12 years ago. About 6 months ago she had a knee surgery where she lost a lot of blood. Since then she has been very sick with extremely low iron levels in her blood. Despite all of the iron tablets and iron rich foods she was eating it wasn‘t changing. Finally, a physician told us that the duodenum is the main part of the intestine absorbs iron, and most of it was removed during her bypass. Has anyone else heard of this?
Iron is absorbed primarily in the duodenum, although any portion of the small bowel is efficient at iron absorption. Your mom might benefit from a iron-supplement product called Floradix. It's an herbal liquid that has a very high absorption rate.
