Q: My mum has just been to the doctor and they said she has extremely low iron levels. She doesnt smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs or eat unhealthily. What are some of the things that would cause such low levels of iron? Thanks! :)
The main reason of having iron deficiency is lack of proper nutrition. So first and first most, you should advise your mother to start and eat a lot of greens such as spinach, broccoli, etc. There are other physical causes of having low deficiency such as pregnancy, mensuration etc. Or could be deficiency of vitamin C as vitamin C aides in iron absorption. So she should first start increasing her nutrition in foods. If that does not improve this anemia, you should advise her to take iron supplements.
Q: i am a vegetarian, so i dont eat meat, but i have anemia and i was wondering if there is a certain type of food that has a lot of iron that isnt meat.
Green leafy vegetables like callaloo, collards, kale, and chard, are high in Iron, sea vegetables, grains like amaranth, quinoa, and teff, as well as vegetables like garbanzo beans. Spinach is not good in large amounts because it interferes with iron absorption. Soy is a source of iron, but it's not easily assimilated by the body unless it's fermented like Miso or tempeh. Best wishes, By the way --dr.beth--beets are tricky because they do not distinguish between nutrients in the soil and poisons. They are the fastest vegetable in pulling matter from the soil, but if the soil is full of poisons, yep, you guessed it!! I was not a happy camper when I found that one out, lol.
Q: Who would win and why?I say Iron Man!
Iron Man, easily. Assuming we are using the current versions of each character with their standard equipment, Batman has his Rebirth suit and Iron Man has his armor that can replicate and transform into any previous armor. Not many of Batman's weapons could affect Iron Man-- EMPs don't work on Tony, his 127 martial arts mastery won't do much against the durable armor, and Tony is just as, if not smarter than Batman. His stealth abilities won't be a great help with Iron Man's infrared and thermal imaging. Even if Batman had prep and brought one of his suits, he probably wouldn't win seeing as the Justice Buster was destroyed and the HellBat rapidly drains Batman's life force, not to mention Iron Man has armours more impressive than Batman's. If Iron Man was mad he could launch some missiles at Batman and probably kill him, although thats easier said than done, especially when you're talking about Batman.
Q: I am 39 female with a history of anemia. I‘ve been on straight iron on and off since 2004. Is there another way for me to build iron?
The easy answer to your question is to eat black molasses. Nothing has more.
Q: the level of iron in normal human bieng
Iron level test Normal serum iron values are as follows: Adult males: 75-175 micrograms/dL Adult females: 65-165 micrograms/dL Children: 50-120 micrograms/dL Newborns: 100-250 micrograms/dL
Q: Rowenta doesn‘t any longer seem to be reliable. Believe it or not I am halfway thinking of a mid-level to top notch Panasonic iron. Panasonic seems to be building them right. The other names if you look at the reviews and the customer service, its nothing to write home to mom about. I would be interested if you can recommend a brand either you or someone close to you have had and the iron doesn‘t leak, short out and doesn‘t become the cool iron after a few months. Thanks.
I'm not sure there are so much better and worse irons. I used to think rowenta's were great, but they are very expensive, rather chunky and heavy and to me, don't seem to out perform other irons. For me, the best iron is the least expensive iron that meets my needs. I tend to space out that the iron is on, so I want an iron that turns itself off. I want one that has a range of settings including steam, and it's helpful, but not necessary, that it spritz water. I mostly only use irons for sewing and have owned a number, usually more than one at a time and currently own three. The things that happen to my irons is they get dropped, they get used by other folks on inappropriate things or using bad settings and spoiling them or they get so minerally or the finish wears off the face that I don't want to use them any more. It's mostly death by dropping, repeatedly though. I've never ever had a problem with them shorting, leaking or not getting hot. Iron technolody is just not that complicated, and with using distilled water (a must for with my minerally water) my irons can last for decades, despite almost abusive use when I am sewing a lot. Reviews on irons? Please. They get hot. You press things. It's not rocket science. I even have an antique cast iron iron that sits on my woodstove that I could use in a pinch, if I had to. I suggest whatever they have at Costo or Sears. Both of those stores have good return policies, so if you seem to get a lemon, you can return it. I have purchased irons at garage sales for a buck that became my favorites.
Q: if i have a stiff shaft for my driver, a Burner, then should i get irons with stiff shafts to?
Typically, yes, but it depends on your swing speed on your irons. Personally, I use a stiff shaft (Aldilla NV) on my driver, but use the stock regular flex graphite shaft on my irons as I swing very easy on my irons. A club fitting would be the best way to go.
