Q: What are some foods that are high in Iron besides meat and leafy greens?
Unsulphured dried apricots, molasses, nettle (you can get it in tea form or pick your own and add into soups/stews), beans, nuts, wholegrains and soya flour. Vitamin C aids in the absorption of iron so it's a good idea to combine iron rich food with vit c rich foods. If you're low in iron, avoid drinking tea (including green tea) and coffee as they affect your bodies ability to absorb iron.
Q: My doctor said i am REALLY low in iron, i need to eat more stuff. What conatins alot of iron? What cereals are fortified?
Eat Nutragrain cereal (high on iron for a cereal) Meat and lentils orange juice take a vitamin c tablet daily
Q: i have to make a 3-D model of iron oxide, Help?
iron can have an oxidation state of +2 or +3 the iron with a +2 charge will combine with 1 oxygen (-2 oxidation state) leaving you with FeO The iron with +3 will combine with 3 oxygen ions (still -2 oxidation state) leaving you with Fe2O3
Q: I need a curling iron that is inexpensive, one preferably under $30. Any help ?
I have the Vidal Sassoon 1 Curling Iron i got it only for like 20 bucks, it works reaaaally well.
Q: Venomfinal villain in the really bad Spider-Man 3 movieIron Mangood guy from the Iron Man Trilogy and one of the Avengers‘ key members
Iron Man due to two reasons: 1) Iron Man is a hero and therefore by Marvel Universe rules he can occasionally lose a skirmish but he can never lose the war. 2) Iron Man already fought him in the comic books and won.
Q: Well we all SHOULD know that elements from Manganese down to Hydrogen combine to create energy and all elements from Cobalt up decompose to create energy. All this ends at Iron. So how does Iron create nuclear energy? Does it combine or does it decompose?
Hi. Iron is the ultimate byproduct of fusion. When a stars core gets to the point where there are not enough fusionable elements to keep fighting gravitational collapse then gravity's energy forces some of the iron to form even higher order elements. These mostly radioactive elements under go fission, but they are really converting the gravitational kinetic energy, not producing energy. Hope this helps.
Q: Can i cook in my cast iron pan everyday or not ?
yes you can. They actually add iron to your diet. One word of warning though, cooking in cast iron pans destroys vitamin C.
Q: can any1 nameme at least 10 things made from or containing iron?
car fenders, many food grade containers, most all car frames, shipping containers (the big box you see semi-trucks hauling), most arisol can containers, bicycle frames, natural gas utility piping, ship hulls, gasoline refining units, train rails, tin roofing - the list goes on on. Steel is the most common metal used, due to cost to produce. It's everywhere, and still growing. We just need to quit selling it all to China.
Q: Identify what is added to iron to make the different properties of the steel?
Iron occurs naturally with some impurities like carbon, sulpher, phosphorous, manganese .etc.Each of these has its special effect on the final properties of the iron alloy. Therefore we actually make iron-carbon alloy with controlled ratios of carbon. Carbon gives the iron (alloy called steel) some softness and elasticity and reduces its hardness. Some additives are intensionally added to the alloy to aquire some needed properties, example :molybdenum, chromuim.etc
Q: I usually iron them when I want to wear them but it would be easier if I ironed a lot at a time. What works best for you?
I iron right before I wear it. I have small closets and if I iron it before I hang it up it tends to get wrinkles again anyways! Sometimes if I am being lazy and it isn't too badly wrinkled I just toss it in the dryer on low heat for 5 minutes then hang it up while I take my shower. That works most of the time :)
