Q: The bedroom has teakwood furniture & marble flooring in red & black: If the curtains are going to be on the dark red wall, I think they would look cool if they were lavender; and if the curtains are going to be on one of the lavender walls, it would look cool if they were dark red. If you want to go with a different color than black (to match floor) or a brownish color (match with furniture). My opinion: the curtains should not be the same color as the wall that they are on, or a completely new color in the room. Good Luck!

Q: I am planning my wedding reception in an old stage/theater type venue. The only problem is that my colors are pink and gold, and the stage area (which is prominent) has the typical stage curtains and theyre red. They may have end of the roll sales or dead stock (stock that did not sell well) in colours you can incorporate with your décor preference.

Q: i have a darker tan couch and burgundy colored walls in my living room, what color curtains should i use? hardwood floors. an Ivory? same with a area rug? ivory too? or should i have some color in there ?: I would either go with the same color as the sofa, or a cream. Since it's light sage it would probably look beautiful. Another thing you could do is have cream curtains and a sage green valance. That's exactly what I have in my living room and it looks nice. I bought the fabric at JoAnn and made it myself in about an hour. Curtains are super-easy to make!

The curtains are a good place to pop in what ever color you want to add to the room. Any color will work greens, blues, red/purples. This is a great opportunity to add texture to the room as well.
