- Q: I want to add color to my dining room by hanging curtains/drapes on the wall, is this a bad idea? My family keeps saying drapes are for windows, not the wall!
- Actually, there is NO limit to decorating. Just use caution. You want to really dress it up, so you don't just have curtains on the wall. Try putting the curtains/drapes around a mirror or shelving. Hope this helped, good luck!

- I don't have recommendation about the window except try looking for cheaper window panels in a neutral color. And, I saw this tip on HGTV for someone living in an apt. that couldn't paint their walls. They got large canvas panels that you'd find in art supply stores, painted them, and hung them on all the walls.

- If it were me, I would buy curtain rods - same as when hanging them at a window. I would put the rods at both the top and the bottom so that the curtain hangs taut against the wall. Since your wall is probably sheetrock, You would have to put screws into anchors in order to secure the curtain rod brackets. Drill a hole first (smaller than the anchor); then hammer the plastic anchor into the hole; then screw the bracket into the anchor. I wish you all the best. Charles

- Are you allowed to use wall paper. If you are you can use that. It's a little hard to get of the wall but it's so much fun to take off. You just get a steamer or steam blower cleaning thing and steam the walls. It won't peel off but it will loosen the glue so you can peel it. You can hang curtains on the window instead of the wall. And fill up the wall with pictures and shelves with small nic nacks. I have these squares and they are 3 different sizes, you hang them on the wall and put like flowers or books inside. It's like having a book shelf but only a very small square bookshelf...if that makes sense
