- no, I would actually suggest going with a color. I think that taupe is really pretty, however I think that using gray curtains would make the room seem very dull. Maybe a red or black - you could even go with a darker brown!!! (like, chocolate brown).

- It depends on your style. If you are going for sunshiney yellow, white or pale orange curtains would work. If you are going for French cottage casual, country blue is the way to go. If you are more avant-garde or trendy, choose lime green or citrus orange or even hot pink. If you are conservative or just like pale colors, pale pink or lilac would be lovely.
- Q: Hi everyone,I need to find curtain rods for one of my walls. Basically, the entire wall is a window (sliding glass doors). So this means that I cannot mount curtain rods using the traditional hardware because there is no drywall, just window basically. Does anyone know what type of curtain rod I wouuld need? - Q: My apartment is really poorly insulated. The best way to fix that would be to get foam/injected insulation done but right now I can not afford it. I was thinking that there must be a place where you can get insulated curtains to hang on walls that are exposed to the exterior. Like those large commercial type curtains in office building that you would hang along an entire wall or foam board that you would stick to that wall.It wont be as efficient but it will keep me from paying a small fortune for heating while I save up for the insulation work.Thanks!
- We had that problem in my mom's 80 year old house on the side walls which were plaster without insulation. We bought 4' x 8' rigid foam insulation sheets (1 1/2 inch, I think) and wrapped them with burlap (you could use any fabric -- king-sized sheets from a discount store would be a cheap source of a lot of yardage). Then we stapled vinyl sheeting to the wall for a vapor barrier and fastened the panels to the wall with drywall screws through to the studs. It made a huge difference in keeping the rooms warm and the wrapped foam made a giant bulletin board that we could hang things on.

- Q: My curtain rod won't stay up, it is pretty much falling down at the moment. A plastic anchor (I think) was used in the hole along with the screw which now looks to be stretched out. The wall is not very solid, I think it is just drywall. Any advice on what I could do to fix the hole or what I should use to keep my curtain rod up? I should add that the curtains aren't heavy and all I do is pull them back in the mornings and close them at night. Thanks!p.s. I have not had much experience with do it yourself home stuff so please be specific!
