- Q: I was wondering how to make a simple slip cover for a regular metal folding chair.
- For the back of the chair, try a pillowcase on it and see how it fits. What tucks do you have to make? Then try it on the seat. What type cover did you want? A full cover so you don't see the legs? You did not say. I would cut up a sheet, in fact you could use sheets if you do not want to invest in upholstery type fabric. They are washable too. Try a piece on the seat, let it hang to the floor in front, and extend up over the back of the chair until it reaches the floor below. Then you could sew the two backs together till it comes to the seat, stop there. Then you need to sew a piece to each side down to the floor. Then sew up the corners. Hem the bottoms and put a bow or Velcro fastener to the back of the seat corner, or pin it and then sew it, but you have to leave a little room so you can slip it on and off.
- Q: Im trying to lower my office chair but it is different then my last one. My last one had some lever that you just puch and your weight will lower it like hydralics, but this chair is different it dont have that lever the only thing it has is some type of knob that turn at the bottom. I tried that and nothing happens does anyone know how to lower these types of chairs?
- My guess is the paddle that adjusts this either broke fell out or was somehow removed. Flip your chair over and you will find the manufacturer, model and serial number this will help you re-order also look for a place that the paddle would fit into by the cylinder and lastly the knob you' re referring to is most likely a tilt tension knob and if this is the case your chair should certainly have a height adjustment.

- I okorder / and I would highly recommend a commercial grade chair since you are using it for long periods of time. Look for something ergonomic (not just the word ergonomic but true feature). Look for seat depth adjustment, independent backrest, lumbar support and what type of foam they use. Molded injection is more durable and lasts longer, cut foam is softer but doesn't hold up as well. As for price you are probably looking at $250+ but should get a lifetime warranty and plenty of use from the chair average 8 years.

- both are wireless, have vibration motors in the seat, speakers and a subwoofer built in, and since your husband is in his mid 30’s he probably wants (or you probably want) something with a simple black color scheme (like the x rocker pros) and not crazy colors and racing stripes. This suggestion is based on the assumption that your husband is a console gamer (xbox 360, playstation 3, etc.) and not gaming on his computer, because if he is a PC gamer neither of these will work, you’ll need something taller. - The majority of my time spent sitting is right here on my computer chair. lol If I'm not on YA then I'm researching something or wandering around YouTube or whatnot. But if I'm reading then I have a favorite chair for that. It's not a recliner but it's super soft and padded like one. It's the sort of chair you kind of fall into and it's not always so easy getting up out of it. Especially if your drunk. =P It's sort of taupe colored and verrrry comfy and sometimes I just sleep there. I fell asleep there last night after finishing the mystery And Then There Were None (for probably the 7th time) by Agatha Christie. Omega

- Q: I have this really greata office chair that my neighbor was just oging to through out... it has some tears in it ...and i am unsure of how to go about fixing it. the material isn't close enough to stitch... my mom suggested getting a peice of fabric to cover it and stitch that to the chair...i honestly dont care about the looks just that i dont ruin it more... would a regualr needle and thread hold against leather if i just put a peice over it...
- Well its probably too late now to really do anything unless u declaw , but I don't suggest that, I've read studies on what they do to declaw and I would never do that to my cat! Would you want to have somebody rip your nails out of your fingers? SO.. I've tried all that there is.. the sprays on the chairs and scents cats hate.. nothing works.. not even spraying the cat with water works (my cat likes water) slap on the butt, loud noise.. nothing works.. Got rid of the chesterfield that he did it to instead of the cat.. Just left his favorite chair and footstool that he likes.. he leaves everything else alone. Best thing to do is when you first get a kitten is to teach them to use a scratching post right from the start..
- Q: Last night on Smackdown, as Batista was beating on The Undertaker with that chair, Tod Grisham made the comment that we've never seen The Undertaker beaten like this before (or words to that effect). Yeah I know, announcers generally say things like this to build hype for an upcoming PPV match, but Grisham would have us believe that nobody ever had the guts before to repeatedly hit Taker with a chair.I know the Undertaker has been beaten down before by at least one chair attack that was worse than what Batista did.
