SBS modified bitumen waterproofing membrane is made by saturating the base in bitumen, or thermoplastic elastomer (such as styrene butadiene-SBS), reinforced with polyester or fiberglass, finishing the upward face with fine sands, mineral slates(or grains)or polythene membrane etc.

- Q:I know they make oxy cleaner for almost everything these days and they make oxy carpet cleaner but i was wondering seeing the powder oxy is cheaper then the the already made carpet cleaner can i use the tub of oxy (if i mix it with water) on the stains on my carpets just like you would use in your laundry will it do the samething or should i just buy the cleaner itself?
- As a carpet cleaning pro, I've seen hundreds of damaged carpets, mostly Nylon or Polyester, where a laundry product permanently damage the carpet dyes. When inquiring as to what caused the damage, the number one culprit was Oxy Clean Laundry Detergent. About 6 years ago, I came across a couple who used this product to fine tune the spills and stains in their carpet, severly damaging the Nylon carpet in numerous areas. They did receive a settlement from the Oxy company at that time to help replace their carpet. Their ads made it sound like they had a miracle product available. If you have Olefin carpeting, a laundry detergent may not hurt these fibers, but why take a chance. Never use bleach on any spill or stain on furniture or carpeting. I've seen thousands of damaged carpets cause by the mis - use of this laundry product.
- Q:We have our carpet cleaned once a year and after 6 months all the stains are back. A carpet cleaner told me if it was cleaned properly the stains wouldn't return. My carpet is a type of berber, but not the good berber. I have always used steam cleaning. My question is would a chem clean be better. Another carpet place told me probably the stains were down in the pad. Is there a cleaning that would go deep into the pad otherwise I am faced with getting 1200 yards of new carpet. - my husband lays flooring and just said that once it hits the pad, there's no return. sorry but you are faced with new carpet. good news is, if you live around ga....he may be able to help you out. lol. j/k......try the car cleaning stuff called purple power. i used to detail cars and we used that on the carpet and always has clean brand new looking results. it will no fade or dicolor your carpet either. just go to auto zone and gets some. it' worth a try.

- They are all different and the best bet is to measure the horse with an ordinary tape measure - from the center of the chest to the center of the tail. Order the rug that coincides with that size.

- You don't salvage it, you throw it away! Mildew begin's soon after the water came in. You may not see the dampness, but when a pipe broke in my basement, a guy came with a meter was able to tell me where the wetness was even the walls had to come down. You need a dehumidifier no matter where you live! Good Luck!

- Go to any pet store and get a bottle of a product called Nature's Miracle. This contains an enzyme that breaks down proteins in bodily fluids, like urine, blood, and vomit. This then eliminates the odor. I would also recommend you get the stuff in the orange bottle instead of the white bottle. It contains oxyclean, which further helps eliminate the stains. Just pour it on liberally directly onto the carpet. If there's still some solid matter, you can wipe this up with a rag. Then cover the area with an old towel and let it sit overnight. The towel will wick up any excess liquid and be a warning not to step there. The next day, remove the towel and let it air dry. If it still smells, apply it again until it goes away.
