- Are the speakers powered (i.e. need AC power)? If yes, the power adaptor may be spoilt. Connect a good pair of speaker to check whether it is the speaker or the PC that is faulty. Alternatively, connect an MP3 player to the speaker to check that speakers are working alright.
- Q: Guys, I am driving Honda Civic EG8 sedan with 6 speakers plus 2 tweeters.My 2 tweeters (mounted on front door) are NOT working anymore but I've got 2-ways speakers on low front door. - Get Polk Audio MM series for the front. Tweeters come separate and you can replace the once that don't work. For the back, use Pioneer D series speakers. You will be very pleased with their performance.

- Rob - I don't know where you live but in the USA most stores that carry musical instruments and sound equipment will have professional speakers for DJ'ing. Stores like Sam Ash, Guitar Center etc have great speakers. You can also buy them online of course - just google DJ equipment. If you let me know where you live (what town or city) I can help more.
- Q: How to connect ordinery speaker to a computer(speaker with a red and black wire to connect)??
- You need a buy a jack plug. The inner part of the terminal is positive (red wire) and the outer part is negative. or simply buy a ready made wire with jack plug standard size ( be sure that it is stereo) then just connect the wires accordingly. If you have a soldering tools, the better. Use electrical tape to seal the wires.

- speakers are speakers and should work anyways but if they dont. go to the control panel and go to sounds. you then go to playback devices or playback and set the new default speakers you do this by selecting the new speaker from the list and set do default. your speakers should work then.

- Pretty much any standard 4 to 8 ohm speaker will work with any home theater receiver. It is a good idea to test the speakers there at the store if you can. Maybe bring along a short piece of speaker wire already stripped for testing each speaker and each speaker output on the receiver. Blown speakers will not work at all or they may just sound raspy. Don't worry about the watts too much. As long as it is a name brand speaker, it will work fine as long as you are not blasting the receiver at full volume.

- Basically a sound bar has speakers and an amplifier built in, and usually you will get better sound from separate speakers but a lot depends on the quality of the sound bar and also the quality of the speakers involved 5.1 means five speakers plus a sub woofer 2.1 is two speakers plus a subwoofer; Preferred brands in speakers are Boston Acoustics; Energy: NHT; Klipsch also most of those brands also produce quality sound bars also.

- Use the stereo receiver that came with the speakers. Get a minijack-to-component audio adepter and connect the component (red/white) audio cables to your receiver's line in jacks. Then set your receiver to that channel. The receiver should have an integral amplifier that will provide ample power to the speakers.
