Q: I am looking for some answers when it comes to soldering wires. Lets say I am using 6 to10 (22 AWG 2 conductor wires) and I want to solder those to 1 wire for power source and 1 wire for ground. Now lets say soldering 10 wires to 1 wire for power and 10 wires to 1 wire for ground. All the wires are the same AWG guage. Now that the wires are twisted together and soldered to the hot and ground source, by doing this will I actually make a resistor or change the amperage or reduce the voltage by soldering so much wires together to a 1 wire source? The power source I am using is 12 Volts. If anyone knows of anywhere I can find this information online, etc, I would appreciate it.: The amount of wires won't create a resistance or change the current. The devices and the power consumption of each will affect current. How do you think a car fuse panel works? Many fuses (connections) all come from the same positive wire on the car battery. Q: Does anyone know what the wire harness is called that runs from the chassis to the door called on a 1995 jeep gc. This wire harness includes the speaker wires, power window wires, and power lock wires. I have checked everywhere and cannot see what this harness is called.: Its called a wire harness. I beleive it is the main dash wire harness, but you wont get anywhere with that if you are trying to get one from a parts house or dealer, You just have to hit and miss at the salvage yard or digging around yourself and get lucky. But if you can trace the wires to a block connector or firewall connector you will be in luck and just tell them the location of the block where the harness is connected and you should be there, just remember all your options in you truck will have to match the options in the donor truck or the harness wont work for you

To fix this, you'll have to open up the controller and reattach/secure it. If the wire is exposed and is frayed, you'll probably have to get a new controller. This is very broad because you didn't specify the model of the controller. Some of the wired controllers use the normal Ps3-USB wire, while others do not. So, trying opening it up and securing the wire. If you're lucky and it's a Ps3-USB wire, replace it with a new wire. Otherwise, you'll have to get a new controller if you can't fix it.

Q: I'm trying to fix a light fixture for a friend. Her father-in-law gummed it up. At the fixture, there are 3 white wires soldered to a single wire. There are 3 black individual wires and one red wire. There are three switches that control the light.If I hook one of the black and the 3 white to the light, the light stays on constantly. The coil has a spike in the hole the wire goes in and a retaining nut. The resistor cover is usually hard plastic[Bakelite?] and has a small screw inside the hole so you can screw the wire onto.

If the fitting in question has a requirement for an earth connection ie its made of metal then it requires an earth to be fitted. If there are no earths at your light fittings then you have have very old wiring and should be considering having a rewire as you are way out of date. As to the wiring you have at the ceiling now one of the reds is the live feed and assuming its twin cable and not single the black wire of the same cable is the neutral and the other 2 wires go to and come back from the switch, trick now is which is which.

Q: Is it better to have a wireless internet connection or a wired connection for my ps3 online games?: Wired is much better, because it works faster, it's secure, far more reliable. The only downside of a wired connection is a necessity to mess around with cables. On the other hand, you do it only once. I'm using a wired connection.
