Q: Connecting a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD to a 2008 Kia Sorento. I have connected the wire harness to the back of the stereo by matching each color. My issue is I have 2 wires left on each side.I have a blue wire on the wire harness, and on the stereo side I have a blue/white wire that says system remote start. Do these 2 need to go together, even though they are different color scheme, yet both are blue?Same thing with the orange wire on the harness, and I have an orange/white on the stereo, do these two need to be connected? Thanks!
the orange wire on the radio is for power antenna unless u have a antenna that automaticly goes up and down u dont need it and the blue 1 on the radio is for a amp unless u have a amp u dont need it either the orange on the harness is most likey the power antenna so u can install with if u dont already have 1 and the blue idk i would have to look at it that ant how my radio wired up but i have a JVC lol but i do know all those radios are the same just it at radio shack u will see plus ur tell meh that im wrong when i can and do have a car radio wired in my house
Q: How to connect a 5 wire Harley LED tail light
My tail light wires are black,, blue and red/white stripes , 2001 Road King police. , which is for brake light?
Q: Where would I get a 2001 wiring diagram for a Silverado chevy truck? I want to re-install the factory stereo that was taken out when I first got it? I have no idea what wire goes where. Thanks a lot.

Q: first wire change
Depends on how many little kinks he's putting in it. Also depends on how fast he works, if your wire needs a lot of work or a little, and if he already has an idea of what he wants to do or if he's just guessing along the way. It shouldn't take longer for him to make the actual kinks than it does the remove and replace the wire. That's a little more labor intensive and can take about 5-10 minutes for each wire. The whole thing, uninterrupted might last 30-45 minutes.
Q: I have a 1989 Nissan 240sx. Somehow the fan caught a hold of the wiring harness and tore all the wires. any idea how much it's going to cost?
Depending on how many wires were damaged and need repaired, I wouldn't recommend a repair unless you can solder them and heat shrink them. And you would want to stagger the joints so they are not all in the same place. Getting a used wiring harness shouldn't cost much. Probably the same as getting all the tools necessary to repair them. (if you don't already have them.) then all you have to do is run the new one along the old one and unplug connectors one at a time.
Q: I'm trying to install a ceiling fan but I'm having trouble with the wiring. Coming out of the fan I've got a black, white, black and white striped, and a green wire. coming out of the cieling i've got a black, a white and a red wire. The fan's green wire is connected to the bracket as a ground, so that's out of the way. It's the other wires that confuse me. I've tried, white to white, black to black, and BW striped to red, but that didn't do anything.Any ideas? Thanks.
You would need a meter to check those wires coming out of the ceiling...usually 3 wire cable (black, red, and white) are used for a 3 way switch which can be turned on and off at 2 separate location (example:at both ends of a staircase)..If this is your situation, you will need only 2 wire cable (black and white) on a switch..you didn't mention whether you have a lighted fan or not..If so, the black w/white stripe would be for the light...just one more thing, make sure your room switch is on when testing it...
Q: im installing lights in my car and it says i need a 12v wire. can i use somthing more then a 12v wire? im hooking it right from my battery. what other wires can i use?
Depends what lights they are, spot lights perhaps?,anyway, tell your local parts shop what you`re wiring up and the will supply you with the correct cable. Or you could go down the scrappy and rip out some of the thickest cable and use that.
Q: i have 4 wires going to a ac unit #10 wires 2 wires for each cir. and i need to know how many amps can I run with 2 #10 copper for one side of the breaker
10 wire is rated for a maximum of 30 amps. This size wire can not be run in parallel to carry more current. I suggest that you have a local qualified professional electrician do the work since you seem unsure about what you are asking.
Q: I need a little help wiring my ceiling fan.Coming from the ceiling:2 green wiresground wirewhite wireblack wirered wireComing from fan:green wireblue wireblack wirewhite wireCan anyone please explain what wires to connect to what.
the blue and black are hot. i think the blue is so you can control the fan on a seperate switch from the light. green and bare is ground, white is neutral.
Q: I bought a cheap amp wiring kit so the ground wire is not the same size as the power wire but my friend gas me an extra piece of 8 gauge wire same as mine if i put both of these to on at the same time would it help out any? also he gave me some audio cable like the wires inside are twisted to gather the box says it gives you better sound quality would they make a difference in sound that the one's i have on there know? Thanks
NO, you need to buy thicker wire because electricity follows the path of least resistance which means if one of the wires is 1/8 of an inch longer than the other, that is the wire the most electricity will flow through, as far as the speaker wire it wont make a difference unless it is thicker than what you already have installed (its very hard to tell the difference in sound quality even with very high quality speakers
