Q: Our bathroom sink gets clogged too easily so I wanted to know some ways to unclog it quickly.: Remove the stopper.Have someone hold a wet rag over the overflow holes and plunge the heck out of it.If the drain is not vented it will loosen all the gunk in the pipe.Flush with cold water.Hot water just makes it sticky.

Q: Tried cleaning all pieces. Made rope of plumbers putty, slipped it under flange and then tightened down. Looks like most of putty oozed out. water does not drip from under sink, it just runs into drain.: I have used teflon tape with success in sealing threads on home projects. I have also used clear, silicone adhesive, Goop with good results. Plumber's putty was originally designed for cast iron fittings and not brass or pvc pipe fittings. Teflon tape comes in different colors where each applies to a specific type hook-up; liquid and gas. So, check the label before purchasing.

Q: Both my bathtub and bathroom sink are clogged! They are not just a little clogged, the tub takes a long time to drain, and nothing goes down, and the bathroom sink just doesn't drain at all.I have tried Drain-OAny ideas of what to do next?: The stoppage is at the junction of the sink and tub connection point. Drain-0 only works in the p-trap. Home Depot sells a liquid drain cleaner in a 1 qt black bottle that's packed into a plastic bag. It's a very strong acid. I believe it is hydrochloric acid. Follow directions and pour the recommended quantity down the sink drain. It will work it's way down the the stoppage. Let it sit for about 1 hr. I've used it twice with success. I'm saying the sink drain because the stoppage appears to be at the junction of the sink and tub drain with the major stoppage on the sink side.

Q: I just dropped one of my contacts on the side of my dorms bathroom sink...can I still use it or should i use a new one for safe? If I can still use it, should I leave it in the cleaning solution for longer than usual? How many hours? Thanks a bunch!: I've dropped my contact lenses on the sink many times and I usually just rinse it with contact solution several times and then leave it in my contact case overnight (5-6 hours). It should be fine in the morning as long as there are no rips/scratches. Good Luck =]]
