- Q: Miami Gardens sounds like a tranquil tropical paradise, why was Trayvon up at Sanford instead of his actual place of residence?
- His father lives in the apartment complex. Because he lived with his father at the time of his killing, he was at his legal place of residence.
- Q: I've been to Biltmore estate a couple of times when I was younger and it was spectacular. I was thinking of taking my daughters there when we're in the area in 2 weeks but we're limited on time and money. Is there a charge to just visit the gardens if you don't take the house tour?
- I can't find any such thing on their website. You have to buy a ticket that covers everything and it costs $45.00!
- Q: Other opinions welcome too. When I add feminist in the question it automatically goes to the place.I cannot be bothered with the extra steps.
- I think it should be a last resort. Like if you have a child that just can't be publicly schooled because of a severe disability or something that major, yanno? We're social beings, unless there's a bunch of other kids being schooled in the same home as well, who are NOT blood relatives, I think it's pretty much child abuse, to be honest. I've known a few people who were home schooled at points in their lives, and it was because of overbearing, overprotective parents who isolated them via homeschooling. I can't support anything that churns out social cripples, I just can't. If there are no other options though for public or private schooling, or if the child has social issues where being around other kids is detrimental, then of course those are exceptions and homeschooling is best. That's not the typical though in my view, it tends to be parents who just refuse to let their kids have lives outside of their controlled environment.
- Q: We have lived in our home on the coast for 4yrs now and never had a problem. We live in a 3 storied home and they seem to be just on the middle floor. I have tried fly strips and all but it like there collecting 40 fly's a day.. Its grossing me out and now i am getting concerned about our pets.
- try Home and Garden Other. for some reason this ended up in the Pets Rodents section by accident.
- Q: can we use the water taken from the well to water the home garden..
- It is better than city water, Providing there is no salt or arsenic. I would take a sample and have it analyzed to be safe. You have another alternative is to collect rain water, Just put a barrel under the down spout or eve trove and you cant get any better.
- Q: We are remodeling our kitchen, and we liked a kitchen we saw in a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. My wife tore out the page, page Z4 from January 2007 issue. I got this issue out of the library, but no page Z4 (z as in zebra) (Better by Design - Comfort comes to the kitchen article). It must have been some supplement. Does anyone have this issue with this page? We are desperate for the kitchen specs from this article, which they often print at the end of the magazine. Please let me know if you have it, or have an idea what magazine it is really in...thanks!
- Go to their home page and click on customer service in the upper right hand corner. Perhaps they will e-mail or fax that page. Or perhaps they have back issues for sale.
- Q: Do cucumbers planted in home garden need to be watered once a day or twince a day ? If there are two or more new small cucumbers on one branch, will they all become fruits that can be reaped ?
- Depends on the weather. If its hot water twice a day. If you have small cukes on the vine, and want to keep them small, let them all stay, if you want bigger ones, pick off all but one on each vine. If you dont want to water twice a day, water every other or third day by trickle watering for an hour or so. That way the plant develops deep roots and doesnt need watering as often. It helps to water the hole when you plant for that reason.
- Q: where can you buy Jackfruit here in southern California?
- lol this is the first time, ive gone to home and garden and this was the first to catch my eye. but my answer would also be an asian market. My mom always brings home jackfruit in a can. and even fresh ones and throws them in our freezer. sooo good!
- Q: thanks.the website or forum about how to design lanscape garden will be great.
- This package is undoubtedly perfect for any landscaping skill level. The diagrams are detailed for simple installation; the pictures are of outstanding top quality and are in total shade. With its dynamic and wide selection of garden types , inventive themes and added supplies , the package is very organized as properly as user pleasant. There are fresh ideas and tips on every thing from Japanese backyard to pools. The package from Ideas 4 Landscaping is the greatest on the marketplace.
- Q: I have never gardened before and want to start one. I wanted to do strawberries but i'm not sure if that's the best thing to start off with. I will need to grow something is planters boxes. What is the easiest thing I can start with?
- Strawberries generally grow well but to get them to fruit substantially requires some effort, and a lot of plants. I think when its not scorching the easiest to grow is cucumbers, maybe after that things like peppers or any legume.
